Company name wouldn’t mean anything to the visa officer so ‘marketing company’ is fine.

Re accommodation, just tell the truth. Say where you plan to go when you land (e.g. a friend’s, cousin’s etc) and then explain that you haven’t finalised accommodation because you want to view before you pay/commit. Or words to that effect.

asatin007:
Hello gurus in the house. Please I have a few questions

1. When asked “what do you do currently”, is it okay to say I work as a finance officer for a marketing company or I work as a finance officer for Tagora(Not real company name)

2. For those of us who have plans to arrange our accommodation upon arrival in the UK, what is the best answer for “Where will you be staying”

Fake tax certificate? Really?

Anyway, I just wanted to add that you need to be able to explain what you have been doing since 2010. For example, was your previous application for a post graduate course? Are you applying at the same level this time?
If so, you’re basically saying you haven’t done much in ten whole years but wait for the ban to be lifted so you can ja pa.

As for your account hook up yarns, it is well with you!

Blissideas:
I have my admission and I have all the tuition fund, maintainance, I will get my CAS anytime soon and my TB appointment is 17th of this month.

If so, 1. Do you have admission 2. Do you have the necessary tuition funds and maintenance 3. Have you gotten your CAS and started processing other relevant documents like TB etc.

We don't advice using lawyers or agents here, if you are SINCERE this time, you can do it by yourself. Be ready to address the BAN situation too

Cheers

@mimilyrics, is it advisable to let the ECO know that we will be applying together but i would prefer going for the first 2 weeks as i will be staying with family, then they come 2 weeks afterwhich i would have sorted our accommodation?

mimilyrics:
1. Does the scholarship cover your tuition and maintenance? If it does, you don't need your bank statement but if it covers just your tuition, you'd need to show your maintenance in your bank account for 28 days before applying.

3. This is dependant on your personal preference. Does the scholarship cover your dependants? If the school is sponsoring your accomodation, will it suitable for your family? Would you like to settle in before you bring them over or would you rather you settle in together? The answer to this will guide you on when you'd like them to apply.
If you go with them, you'd be paying a little extra for your temporary accommodation (hotel / AirBnB) but you will have company to help with home sickness grin and if you don't, it means that you don't have to worry about the stress of house hunting and the initial settling in period on them. That way when they come to the UK, there's ready accommodation and settling-in information for them.
I'd advice that they apply after you settle in (to reduce the stress of settling in) but that's advice based on my own preference. You can choose to apply together and navigate settling in the UK as a family.

4. I'm not sure I quite understand this. Put in place as per documents or UK accomodation / school arrangements for your kids?

1. To whom it may concern

2. Yea its too early to apply for September 2021 intake. Use this period to get all your documents and your money together. You can start applying from January/February 2021.

3. Yes you can use student copy if they are stamped and signed by your previous school.

Yes the student copy is stamped but was addressed to the medical practice where I work. Hopefully, it'll fly.

hello,

for those going to University of Hertfordhsire with more than 3 dependants, how did you sort accomodation? I have been at this for a whole month with nothing favorable? Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you

I booked a holiday flat as temporary accommodation and then indicated that this was temporary and permanent arrangements/commitments would be made after arrival.

You could try involving your school's international students unit in your accommodation search if they offer such assistance. Searching for accommodation from outside the country requires a lot of care - there are sometimes scammers on the online sites.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance stipend and approx £4500 pa towards accommodation. Do you think I can easily find accommodation suitable for a family of 4 with £4500 for a year?

Similarly, is it possible that I apply for visa with my family but we plan that they will join me months after I settle (like 3 months after I settle)? Thanks again.

There’s no difference between Access & Fidelitybank.

They use almost the same rate
Accessbank N445 at $1000 limit
Fidelitybank N439 at $500 limit
WEMAbank N437

ZenithBank is the best at N398 but $200 limit.
Ecobank is N401 but $500 limit.
Gtbank too is around N400 but also same $500 limit or so.
Not sure about first bank and others.

Fidelity bank $ limit is $300 Confirmed today

Hello house, I’m applying with my Dom dollar account. I don’t usually make deposits or withdrawals in this account but I’ve kept the required amount there for over 28 days. This means my statement is only likely to show just my opening and closing balances since no other transactions were done on it. Is this okay?

Hello everyone,

Please any news on how soon international travel will resume in Nigeria? For those with UK visas, how can they travel to UK with the current absence of international flights in Nigeria?
Thanks.
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 1:13pm On Aug 10, 2020
Unfortunately no news.
It’s just the government still saying “soon” or in “some weeks”. There’s no certain date.

If you’ve got a valid U.K. visa, you can join any of the “evacuation or repatriation” flights as they’re “called”.

It will would cost you leg and arm though.
For now, most flights can only be booked via certain agencies for some reasons bc there’re no available dates when you check on the airlines page.

Example: if you want to travel tomorrow & check KLM to London, you may not see any flight. But if you call some agencies & make enquiries, you will be allocated a seat on payment for the same exact flight you couldn’t find online.

So it all depends on your pocket size really.
Can you afford to pay a lot for a one way trip than wait for the normal flight operation and spend less?

Do you think I can easily find accommodation suitable for a family of 4 with £4500 for a year? Nope.. that under 400pounds a month which is low for the number of ppl in your family . You would need at least a 2 bedroom flat and the amount above wont cover electricity, water, internet, cable bills. Flats should come with white goods but they may not come with furniture so you would need to budget for that as well as clothes, bedding, shoes, kitchen supplies and what nots. You can get these things at thrift stores but it still comes at a cost, besides children in a new environment are difficult to control when it comes to Daddy buy this for me.
Then since you would need more food cos of the kids plus transport fare (its not free depends on age of your children) then adult transport fare.
Then schools for them including school uniforms ( hopefully the schools could be a bus away from your place of residence) if not then you would likely need to rent a car. Remember your spouse working is a plus for you however if your kids are young then they will close school early say 12/1pm and since they cant get on the bus themselves you would have to pick them up. If you're late it is a fine from the school. Then there are extracurricular sports and other activities that children will be involved in.

So if your spouse is coming with you then thats a lot of juggling with the children so she may not be able to look for a job for a few months. I say this incase you are looking for a way to supplement income through her.

Repartriation flights return leg

Most are run by Ethiopian or Emirates and sometimes Air France ( if emirates is coming to Lagos it will say so their site)

Travel through Lome or Cotonu ( book flights through Air peace to Lome)
Cotonou go by road through Idiroko Sango route. You would need to ensure that the flight to the Uk you intend to board leaves from Cotonou airport. So planning your journey needs to be alongside flight availability and departure. You need a Covid PCT test. NCDC has approved testing centres in Nigeria. SYNLAB is one - tests are about N52400 try their ikeja office else check their sites for details.

Resumption of flights in Nigeria would likely be in September so depends on how long you have to wait., bare in mind if you go to the UK you need to self quarantine

Its OK - I did the same - converted money to sterling when the rates started going crazy and so my 28 days statement showed no transactions at all, just opening and closing balances. That's how I sent it in. It makes their job easier for them wink

Based on Zoopla & rightmove, the minimum will be around £600/month to anything around £1,100 and above per month for 2 bedroom flats depending on the area in Liverpool.
@taal17 has provided a detailed answer + breakdown to the first part of your question and it tallies with the reply I had in mind so I wouldnt dwell on it.

The vignettes usually come with 1 month validity except in the case of replacement vignettes (for visas that expired as a result of covid-19) which will be issued 90 days validity till the end of 2020.

If you apply together, your family's vignette will expire after 30 days except the validity is increased to 90 days so you're better off with your family applying when you're ready for them to join you or applying together and leaving before your vignettes expire.

As long as the application period is open, you’re free to make an application.

However you may not get an offer anytime soon. They would finish with September 2020 set before they start sending out offers to 2021 people.

But some schools wont put up their fees for September 2021on their website till January 2021. Some might increase their fees in September 2021. Some department might need to adjust their modules.

You need to put in all these into consideration when applying for September 2021 so you don't get confused when they start updating their 2021 calendar (September to be precise).
