The number one thing you should be careful of is receiving fake alert, only check your mobile bank app or email for credit alert. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT DEPEND ON SMS CREDIT ALERT

Secondly try as much as possible to not be greedy, always keep an open but wary mind when dealing with a passenger

Finally, mind your business nobody is your friend (especially if you are in Lagos). Greet start trip, get to destination, end trip and rate 2 stars.

☺️

LASG is not even disturbing drivers about paying tax directly. In as much uber/bolt claims dey are deductin tax from the 25%/20% taken from us on every trip. Reason why LASG is demanding 10% on the 25%/20%. Not from us.
E.g 25% of N1000 trip. Uber charges N250.
LASG is demanding 10% from that N250 uber has charged from us, which is N25 only. ( not 10% from the N1000 trip)
To me, uber/bolt are cunny and greedy. If they can charge 25%/20% from us easily and find it difficult to remit the little % to the Govt.
But, lot of people thinks govt is demanding 10% tax from us. No

The tax is not the issue, the 3 year old cars is. Taxation costs will be passed on to the final consumer, that's business.

The 2017-2020 model of cars won't work.

For crying out loud, this is a developing country with a state that is still grappling with infrastructure devpt...

The economy of Lagos state can't support it.

States with advanced economies , California, New York ,Helsinki. don't even make such categorizations.

Any money miss road investor that buys 2017/2020 cars for dis biz will whine n sulk for a long time. grin

As an operative of any ehailing app, you have to keep moving from one point to another intermittently and that subjects the car to d rigours of wear and tear.

The Baba's with d rickety Volkswagen n Mazda and the traditional airport/ car hire know this Eternal truth. Hence, they park and only move when there is an order/ reservation.,that way they can reduce wear and tear.

It's possible that they were/are paying tax na

Or would you say an org like Uber and Bolt was not paying any tax to LASG for almost half a decade now? That's not possible.

That 10% is just too much.

Pay this, pay that, yet the scope of the job is very limited. Roads are bad, so many unsafe places to ply...
Government has upgraded from tax to tithe grin

Just look out for touts, they're always in uniforms and disguise under names like lastma, police, CBD, LGA and so on.

Don't accept transfer from riders who are not ready to wait till you get alert.

Don't give riders money for anything, they will come with all sorts of touching story.. 90% na wash

Let's be factual...What exactly is the government providing to aid cabhire or ehailing?

There are no roads. 70% of the roads in Lagos have no presence of ehailing because it's bad. Uber no get market for Badagry, Epe, Apapa, Ikorodu, Ojo, Satellite and so many areas

Or should we talk about security? It's only on the island (First roundabout to 7th) that is safe at night. Once you pass Ajah, na God hand you dey.

Or is it the rising cost of parts and maintenance?

Them go collect million million for licencing fee yearly, still collect 10% of 25% too...Habaa

They just want to float theirs.... Imagine a ehailing meeting wey na MyKab be the only provider in attendance. grin

Honestly, they want to collect 10% on every service and still collect annual renewal every year.

Chai, this government is nothing but a thief.

I feel they should either stick with reasonable amount to be paid yearly or they collect 3% on every service, that 3% is even alot of money when accumulate the total they will be getting at the end of every year...

It not fit work self. Mykab has been onboarding drivers/ cars of 2003 model upward. Does it mean the claimed owner of mykab was not aware of the new govt policy on ehailing?
