The sitting governor remains the governor untill the case gets to the Supreme Court and the Supreme court uphold d the judgement...

The next stage is appeal court anyway... And if the judgement of the appeal court states otherwise... Case closed.
Supreme court will deliver the final judgement which can go either way, even if Court of appeal upholds the tribunal judgement.Take note,Diri will win at last.

If you have vast knowledge of jurisprudence, u will know that this judgement is dead on arrival. It will be appealed today. No election will hold and Diri continues with his job.

By now in our democratic journey, our votes ought to matter but alas, election time still is one of the most dangerous time in the country.

the fresh election is actually the electoral process that started last year. No new primaries. No substitution of candidates. The same candidates that participated in the cancelled election will participate in the fresh election. APC has no candidate.
You are not correct. A nullified election means that the candidates and their nominations are no longer recognized by the court. The court deems it that nothing happened at all.

hey what are you trying to say? Go back to Military? Can't you allow a growing baby to be Mature?

This is not a baby but a broken adult. The present government is the worst one in Nigerian history. It is very expensive to run and highly incompetence. I had rather go back to the military government than this silly Dumbcracy.

The Tribunal just gave its verdict. Diri has about 21days to Appeal the judgement. He remains governor of Bayelsa, pending the determination of his Appeal.

OK... Did this Tribunal starts its sitting since 8months..?

There won't be a new party or candidate only those validly on the ballot from the beginning that would contest. That excludes APC.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. The sad thing is the masses will pay for the nonsense all these people are doing. Both PDP and APC. That small state won't see any reasonable development in a long while. Pity.

Question is who will be the sitting governor for the next 90 days? Is it the same governor or the speaker becomes the governor since the election has been nullified.
Easy na, it's not done that way.the man go appeal the judgement first na.

The end of a case at SC does not justify reasons why judgment will not be served on others

which made their candidacy null and void

kiss the truth

That was a preelection matter, if the deputy can provide the minimum required which is just proof he attempted WAEC he can partake in the election. The constitution in itself gaurantees his right to vote and be voted for where he has not been convicted of a crime within past 10 years.
