Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Ameey: 12:27pm On Aug 17, 2020
I think it should be application received by DMC tho, but it's advisable you send a paid mail to ukvi for escalation.

Hello my people,
I would like to enquire about a case of cancellation of visa at the point of entry due to lack of funds. Does this equate a ban or can the affected person reapply for another visa?

From what I can understand, they’re trying to ensure you’re able to fend for yourself in the uk just as you stated in your application. You have to give a strong reason for this in your next application . gurus in the house what do you think about this please

Its a bit frustrating the lack of communication on how long the process of replacing the Vignette will take.

I sent mail to CIH early April, got a response from VISA SHEFO end of July to submit passport before 21 working days.

Submitted at TLS Abuja 1st week in Aug, got an email from TLS that account has been created so i can track application and the entire thing doesnt work (the link they sent just defaults to their home page)

Going through the thread at least helps so i know its a general problem

I just hope they can give proper info with concise timelines so at least I can plan accordingly

Will keep the house updated.

Can you please guide me through on how to contact the embassy? Or may I send you a private?

My daughter got a mail from UK Visa office that her application has not been straight forward that they would be unable to decide but if something changes they would let us know.. Please what does it mean, she wanted to relocate with her family. She's married but hasn't changed her name officially on her passport ... Respond quickly please... She's losing her mind

I'm in Lagos. How did you go about it? Did you get an appointment with them or you just walked in and asked to see a visa officer?

They sent the mail cos they've been unable to finish the application within the stipulated time(15 working days) which means they are still confirming some details.
You are not required to do anything cos if they needed more supporting documents, they would ask.
If there is any consolation, from my experience they usually approve the Visa applications.
No need to panic atall.

Is this your 1st application to them?
Do you work or school?
What’s sole purpose of the trip?
Any particular reason why your travel duration is 1 month?
Then u said you booked a session for upper week? What do u mean by a session?

This is my first application
I work.
To meet with friends, relatives and to go to the US Consulate for my visa
1 month is time enough to spend with my people over there. Also coincides with my consulate appointment over there.
Biometric capture with the commercial partner in VI. Sorry if it sounded weird. This is my first time.

Good evening. Because of the coronavirus, I couldnt use my 6 months visa so I reapplied last week to go in october for my birthday. I submitted the same kinds of documents I submitted the first time. I was wondering, is there any reason why they shouldnt issue the visa? I know these people can be funny.
