Age 25 With 1 Million Naira & Living With My Parents: Buy Land Or Pack Out? by Nobody: 7:05pm On Aug 20, 2020
Good evening Nairalanders.

Please i need an advice on the next step i should take in life. I am a guy, 25 years of age and still living with my parents, though i am not jobless but recently my bank account just hit one million and 200 thousand naira.

So my parents are advising to buy a landed property in my home town that will take about 900 to 1 million naira. But the thing is that i am 25 and i feel at my age i should no longer be staying with my parents, so i want to rent a flat and furniture it to my taste, i feel it is time to move on, i need my freedom to finally face life like a man.

So my question is, should i purchase a landed property at 25 and continue living with my parents or pack out and start my Adult life. Note: i am not jobless".

JEJELY find your own place to live... instead of buying land so you can stay even longer under your parents wings. BE INDEPENDENT AND DO WHAT YOU DESIRE WITH YOUR LIFE instead of staying like a hen under your folks. i guess they are not ready to cut the ties.... harder for them, than you it seems.

if you are as smart as you seem to be, you can buy land when you are ready/willing to do so in the future.

If 'face your life' means working harder and improving your life and earning more, then feel free to move out.

But if you only want to move out to get 'more freedom' or to get away from your parent's watchful eyes then you may be making a mistake

Haha at your age I had 3m still living with parents and taking it slowly. I won't advice that u buy a land and don't be too quick to move out. The most important thing is how do u continue to earn more money. This thought alone could lead u to starting a business and when you have bought the land or secures a apartment, how do u start the business then. At 25 u have a long way to go and throughout the journey, na money u need oo.

Dont pack out because you have N1million. Pack out because you have consistent income. Is the way you made the N1million consistent?

Your parents are perfectly okay with you staying with them. I don't see the need to rush out. Man invest that money. Resist the temptation to “be a man” in the guise of spending & living lavishly.

This life is a solo race.
Move out when you're comfortable financially.

OP pls disregard the above message, as you can clearly see that this woman (like many out there) automatically believe that a man with money should foolishly hand some to his deluded gf (as if you even mentioned that you had a gf on this thread).

always remember, you worked hard to save this money, dont be foolish in giving it away to deluded broke golddigging women who havent worked a day in their lives nor know the VALUE OF MONEY (like you do).

you should only offer a gift to someone, if YOU (and only you) believe she deserves one.

It is not as easy as you think. packing and furniture to my taste will take nothing less than 800k. but i am 100% able to pay the yearly rent and take care of myself. while a land will take me nothing less than 900k but i will continue staying with my parents and i will then start husling for another money for rent again in years to come which wont be easy.

Isnt it a good thing to be a virgin as a man? i wonder why you guys think it's falling of hands for a guy to be virgin,be a good boy and remain decent.I have been searching for a virgin husband to marry within the age bracket of 30-35,it seems to be in total extinction but I'm still hoping,so you should be proud of your virginity as man,its a pride for men also

Bros pack out from that place, u still dey chop mama thank you , untill you start fending for ur self u won't know what life is

get ur own place and start planning ur future, ur 25 now before u know it ur 30, with no place of ur own and no responsibility, abi u no dey think of marriage ??

I started life and got married with the properties I bought when I moved out of my parents house, till today am still using most of them and that has saved me lots of money as buying those things now would have been very difficult

the land at the village you don't have money or plans to develop it any time soon, so what's the point??

Bros reason, and stopping eating mummy thank you
