If it is a case of thinking about coming home for a wife (or husband - not so common) then you are already half way to answering your own question...
If it is so so easy to hook up and find many Nigerian girls that are suitable abroad then most will not come home to marry.
However, there are other reasons besides available of good many choices of women wherever that brother might be abroad.
I should also add that one can also marry people from other nations and even outside one's tribe if Nigerian. But what if the relationship does not work out - those children could be lost in the sense of access or closeness...

As long as it is acceptable by Nigerian marriage laws, the UK will accept it.

Hello house happy Sunday.. please for those of you that came in through spouse visa from Nigeria, please how long did you wait in Nigeria to join your spouse? What were the challenges joining y spouse, i.e permanent residence not ready yet, not bin able to meet financial requirement on time etc. How were u able to handle the situation why waiting. Kindly share . I want to encourage a sister who is still waiting 4 four years to join her hubby. Meanwhile she surpose to join him this year but covid 19 av really affected things.

Thanks , registry not done , d plan was either she comes before October so we do the registry , or I apply for a fiancee visa , I think I will just wait till she gets a new job den start counting 6months again

I and my wife remarried this year in Nigeria, she left to UK and promised applying for me when she gets bk, just for her to call me and said that the hospital she works is not allowing agency, that government said that agency is cheating on govt and not paying their taxes. Agency work is very quite now. To get permanent job is also difficult too due to covid 19. Exercise patient for few months ,everything will be OK shortly. From what I note in one of the site , the UKVI will disregard income requirements due to covid 19.

No, you are absolutely wrong!!!
I researched yesterday online about it and found out that the TB test should only be valid at the time of application. You can travel with the expired test result and if they need a new one, there are X-ray machines at the airport where it will be done free of charge. Someone in the UK also verbally confirmed this to me last night too so no qualms.

They have started getting back to people cos l know 3people who applied and did their biometric here in Nigeria and got their visas approved last week so hopefully more good news of spouse visa approval will continue in Nigeria.

Good to hear. The last time I heard from them makes me wonder how long it will now take to conclude an application. A decision was made on mine since early April.

Good day house. I've been following diligently since last year. I did my biometrics on the 6th of August 2020, already got a mail from TLS stating that my application has been transfered to UKVI. My concern is that up till this moment, I have not gotten an acknowledgement mail from homeoffice/UKVI or whomever is supposed to work on my application.
What could have caused the delay?

Good Day Dear People, I appreciate everyone helping out on this platform. I have gained alot from this platform. I would appreciate some help here: While I was a Masters International student in the UK I had baby with my boyfriend who was also an international student. Our child is now 10years old living with me in Nigeria.

After school, I got my work permit and another extension with my child as my dependent so I returned to Nigeria. My boyfriend was still there and he finally got his permanent residence. Although, while in the relationship we broke up several times and moved on back and forth.

We recently started talking again, although I have travelled several times to UK for visiting and for 2 years I never spoke to him but I always made sure I include in my application form that I have my child's father in uk although I am not on talking terms with him and same thing I tell them at the point of entry.

We recently started to speak this year and he told me he wanted to apply for our child's citizenship . We also concluded to come back together and get married .

My question: our relationship has been on some 2009 and we had our child a year after. We intend applying for our child's citizenship first
We intend getting married.
How does he apply for a spousal visa for me especially when we did not speak for 2 years before coming back this year?



Please I will appreciate the advice.

I had my bio too on the 5th of August and a mail saying my application is been transferred was what l got. Lets just remain hopeful that soon we will get sms message for our passport pickup.
