All this is still hearsay. OP why not call your number yourself with another line and check whether you will get the David on phone yourself and talk to the person to know wassup

Your case is a simple one. Your call is divert either by you or someone who have access to your phone.

I have had similar experience before, sometimes if my number is not available or out of coverage. My mum number rings. Because I divert my calls to hers when my phone is out of reach. I did that unknowingly

If you are in Lagos, Purchase one of these phone books in sold in Ikeja.

There is a code that could be used to know if your line has been Bugged.

There is also a Code that could be used to Cancel it.

If that is not your Case, then it Could be Spirtual. I know it sounds Funny but it is True.

I Have Heard so many things that in these days that Sound unbelievable and Funny , but they are Real.

If that is the Case you Have to Deal with it in Prayers..

I just hope for your good you won't start receiving calls from a recovery lawyer. When I had similar problem two years ago I went to NCC office in Ikoyi to complain my phone calls was been intercepted and unknown transactions been carried out,but they feigned ignorance so I decided to port the line only to discover the line is working on both the former and new network.Ironically both can access my Bank Account. It was later I start hearing I am involve in a court case that I am unaware of .Strangely yesterday someone sent me a picture of someone that looks exactly like me. I never would have thought I had a body double.
That's you in an alternate universe and all of your other "beings" are happening simultaneously.
It's an anomaly in the space-time continuum.

Your Mobile Subscriber Integrated Service Digital Network (MSISDN) number.. That is your number on routing protocol System.
Is having an attenuation with another number you are sharing modules with on the same protocol.

Am sorry about my jargons.

Go to mtn office. Your line will be optimised from the back end to reduce frequency jamming..

Try these method and you are OK. HOW TO BLOCK HACKERS FROM HACKING YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS

"""""MOBILE BANKING"""""
IF YOU DO MOBILE BANKING from your phone, there is need to put a PIN on your SIM, otherwise your account can be wipe clean anytime you lose your phone or your phone is stolen. The process to do is very simple but if ignored can cost your all Your life savings.

For those who don't know about it yet, just follow this simple steps to protect hacking of Your bank account through SIM THEFT.

1. Go to SETTINGS in Your phone.

2. Go to SECURITY & LOCATION under SETTINGS

3. Go to SIM CARD LOCK.

4. Click on LOCK SIM CARD.

5. Enter Your mobile network default SIM CARD PIN.

*For MTN users it is "00000". *For AIRTEL users it is "1111".
*For 9mobile users it is "0000"
* For GLO users, it is "0000"

6. After entering the MOBILE NETWORK DEFAULT PIN, under it You will see " CHANGE SIM PIN", click on it to change to Your unique 4 digit pin,

7. Confirm Your unique 4 digit pin by entering it again & YOU ARE DONE

So anytime You "On" Your phone You will be prompted to enter Your SIM CARD PIN just as You will be prompted to enter Your phone lock PIN or Draw Your PATTERN each time You "START" (ON) Your phone.

With the ACTIVATION OF SIM LOCK on Your phone, Your money can never be withdrawn from Your bank account through your SIM because Your SIM will be useless in their hands since it is blocked and You will not be under tension to go and block or retrieve Your stolen Sim.

NB: WITH THIS INFORMATIONS, YOUR ACCOUNTS ARE WELL SECURED AND SAVED FROM HACKERS AND SCAMMERS, THANKS

My fellow Nairalanders I think someone is monitoring my calls.

It all started when I was chating with my business partner on whatsapp and I was explaining some stuffs to her and she didn't understand so she called my number for me explain better so when she called my number
Someone picked The call and said his name is David.

She had to send me a message on whatsapp to tell me what happened but then I was shocked because I didn't even see any call.

So I told her to call me again she called the same number the second time then I picked The call and we talked but she didn't believe I was The one who picked the call so I had to send her a message on whatsapp to tell her I'm The one who picked The call this time.

She had to call again and the David guy picked it up again.

One thing is for sure I also go by the name David but I never in my life introduce myself as David.
I go by the name Noble.

Months had gone by and today it happened again

I was chating with a close friend of mine on whatsapp and he called me to tell me about a link he sent to me on whatsapp.
But guess what
Someone picked it up again and said his name is David.

Like I don't understand.
My friend had to whatsapp me to tell me what happened and I haven't even replied him because I've concluded my sim has been cloned or hacked by some David guy.

Please if you can help me say something cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry

This sim card is really important to me hence I Have over 8k whatsapp contacts and almost all my clients call me with this number

All online registration I've done is with this number

Please I need help cry cry cry cry cry cry

Help me get this to The front page so those who are into tech can help me please.

I've tried calling customer services and they said there's nothing like hacked sim
Go to your phone setting and cancel all calls divert.
If it persist, then u can visit ur network provider.

This nonsense happened to my friend just yesterday... But my advice is that, you password your sim.. And do your two steps security on WhatsApp.. With that, they can't hack your number

Also if you have a second sim and you leave it for 3 months without using it.
The carrier will deactivate it on your account and give it to another person. This happened to PMB daughter

It happens I sometimes receive calls from Hausa people speaking Hausa to like they are talking to someone they really know, even if I tell them it's a wrong number they keep calling. I continue tell them it's a wrong number then they will stop calling. After a long period of time like months or years another Hausa person will call again. It seems MTN has run out of numbers to generate for new consumers.
