The reason for their fight is SAV used exactly the same landing page as Dan and this got them angry as their color and design was trademark (I think) and DAN involved their lawyers before slight changes were made. So the beef started, as I sold a domain that period and than sent a message that SAV is not a trusted registrar but I knew about the feud already.
