Most Nigerian guys believe that it's total scam for a Lady to have a male friend as bestie when they in serious relationship.

But the truth there is that most ladies prefer a male Friend as bestie because ladies believe that men are more secretive than ladies and its more easier to get good advice from a guys than Ladies.

So can you allow your girlfriend to have male friend as bestie?

you should know that having sex with your best friend is NOT the norm because well it just is but we now have this thing called friends-with-benefits which is an arrangement existed un-named for maybe a lot of years, in which people who are friends( my observation is they are usually mutual acquaintance more like it, not friends) have agreed to have sex for their own reasons which exclude romance and dating. so if both of you have mutually agreed to have sex and keep your friendship intact without going into dating then it is feasible . you have to keep in mind some facts about this kind of arrangement is than..

usually as i have seen people don’t do this FWB with best friends because well, they are so close to you, as close as a spouse/partner is supposed to be except for maybe the sexual component is missing for the most part and don’t date you to know how you would be as a life-long partner.

it much safer than one night stands i guess. you know the person in a way but now you are going to see the other side of them as a lover.

you don’t have any right to his exclusive time as sexual partner and they does not have either, if any of you feel dating someone else during this arrangement feel like betrayal than you know you are much more than just happy arrangement now. litmus test.

be aware of his clean status before you get into it and make them aware too. some things your average best friends don’t exchange is maybe regular talk of clean bill of health, huh?

as long as you both are sure you can handle the intricacies and are happy and safe with this arrangement. everything should be fine.

No ma'am, it doesn't always have to end in regrets. It might if the so called besties are " friends with benefits" with a lot of feelings. Two people of the opposite sex can sincerely be friends and there won't be any sexual connection or tension between them.
