So, I got talking with a senior friend about challenges most new migrat faced in Canada and US. After several discussion, this got my attention. According to her, it's very difficult to get married or come in contact with a prospective life partner. As most Nigerian's single ladies are over age but no husband.
How true is the above statement?
Are there most Nigerian's single ladies than single men?
As a single Nigerian in Canada or US, is it really difficult finding a life partner (a Nigerian partner to be precise)?

Is it adviseable to get married to a Nigerian partner before going, what if the marriage fail due to long distance?

What's the possibility of seeing more black (Nigerians) to mingle?

What part has large number of Nigerians?

Because it's good to plan every aspect of one's life.

OP, Finding nigerian is a good idea as oneday matters may likely arise, so these are the places with the large number of nigerians in CA if you want to find one.

Ontario- 29,600 nigerians

Alberta- 13,000 nigerians

Manitoba- 3,900 nigerians

British Columbia- 3,100 nigerians

A lot of single Nigerian men in Canada are NOT going out of their way to look for Nigerian women to marry (or even Nigerians to become friends with). Those Nigerian men have friends of other races and girlfriends (and wives) of other races.

EDITED: There are a lot of wonderful Nigerian women abroad, my point is that they are far apart and surrounded by a lot more equally wonderful non-Nigerian women.

They prefer good women who come in all races. If they meet a good woman (of another race), they would grab her instead of putting a lot of effort to track down a good Nigerian woman (my cousin is an example).

Najja guys, run for Naija ladies abroad except if you have spent more time with yourself in Naija and the lady has proved her faithfulness over and over again....some guys are crying abroad now because they marry to an African ladies.

Hmmmmm, you should be focus on a more herculean task which is to migrate to the countries you mentioned successfully than focusing on marriage.

For your question. A lady with good attributes and not parasitic in nature will be loveable and if you are loveable, you won't have problem getting suitors.

So focus on building or improving those attributes.

Once a man learns the local language (or can speak with the local accent), gets a job and integrates into the society, it is no longer a strange country, it starts to feel a lot like home.

As the president of National and international union of Nigerian men, we cannot accommodate yr pride and arrogancy in naija and also accommodate u in a sane country where there are tons of thousands of good beautiful women

let's get married and migrate together

Nigerian are getting married to each other and some other races. And yes there are a lot a single ladies and guys too. Over here dating apps or match making are your best bet. I have related with foreigners and Nigerian on dating apps and singles group. The younger Nigerian ladies seems to all have the same thing in common they want a financially stable guy ( typical Goldding trait from 9ja). if you tell foreign gals you just landed and still settling they wont stop talking to you, one came all the way to take me out with her car just to chill tho as a friend. If you tell a Nigerian lady that they would like stop talking to you and cant waste her fuel to come see you. Also the culture here is different unlike in Africa where different men will chase and toast you daily. majority of men here wont do that so woman has to make the move ( our 9ja sisters will say over my dead body). Some will marry, those married ones too some will divorce, some too will be single for a long time. In the West marriage and relationship is not a must. A man can lose his house, pay mortgage, child support and spousal support. many have turned gay or avoided marriage completely. it does not favour men. Everything marriage brings can be gotten while being unmarried. so why marry in the west men are last in the pyramid and have no say during divorce and custody.

I don't know why most men keep saying marriage is not important. What happened when you're old? who will stand by you? Who will take care of you? We all need each other. In as much as marriage is not the ultimate, it's very important.
