Seen several cases as well of it being approved. It actually made me assume the date of biometrics is deemed your application date.

In any case better to be safe than sorry.

I actually know someone who submitted his application online way before his statement completed 28days while he waited for his statement to complete so that he can go for biometrics And he got the visa , I thought it was ok so that’s why I didn’t really ask, so I literally joined nairaland after I submitted my application to hear people story then I started seeing something different about you must wait for 28days before you submit your application.
So it really scared me

Takes some stories with caution..... UKVI are strict because their model is a tick box exercise. If they cannot tick yes to a requirement then the Visa will be denied

Hopefully it all works out

People of God... Pls see what my dependants got from Decision making Centre. I'm the principal applicant, I did my biometric on 27th and I'm yet to get any message. Hope we are safe?

Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days.

Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible.

We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind Regards,

UK Decision Making Centre

Got this around 7am this morning. I did my biometrics day before yesterday. On the 14th.

*Priority visa service
* TLS Abuja

Dear ******,

REF: GWF****

Please be advised that a decision was made on your visa application today. Your documents and visa decision will now be returned by commercial courier to the visa application centre where you applied (unless you paid for the courier fee in which case it will be returned directly to you). This can take a few days and be subject to unforeseen delays so please wait for the visa application centre to advise you when your documents and decision are ready for collection.

Regards,
UKVI Pretoria

When should I be expecting the collection mail? cos My application is still at the DMC stage

Even mine oh, the guy we got the decision email together has received an email for him to come pick up his documents at TLS Ikeja. Where you take do your own? Mine was at VI.

People,

My Biometrics and Interview, VI TLS Aug 26th. Complex/Not straight forward mail 14th Sept, Mail for Telephone Interview On 15th, Telephone Interview scheduled for 9am but started at 9.30am today. The network was poor and the Interviewer had not interacted with many Nigerians in the past or my accent is too Nigerian. We kept having to go over every response I gave. I spelt out more than 50% of my feedback. These were the questions;

1. Why the school 2. Why the course 3. Why the Uk 4. Which Other Schools did you consider. 5. What advantage does this school hold over the others 6.What are the modules, speak about how they fit into your Study goals. 7 What do you do? 8 What was your last academic course (MBA OAU,10 years ago) 9. Why the study gap,10. What has your salary been over the last 10 years. 11. How much will this Masters cost you, who is sponsoring you? 12. What are the Returns on this investment, how will you justify the amount spent 13 Where do you hope to work thereafter/what will you be doing after the program 14. What impact/value will this masters add to you? 15. Where did you get the INFORMATION that this value will be added. 15. Where will you stay, how far from school and how much will it cost you? 16. Have you been to the UK before 17. Has any other close family been to the UK before? (their names and why they visited) hmmmmm 18. Did you enlist an agent to help with your application (Name, organisation). 19. Do you wish to add any other information? 20 Do you have questions? End of Interview.

Not to scare anyone, it took about 1 and a half hours, I found it laborious, And i had to use my initiative. The session was just so stressful.

I hope for the best and Please Pray for this Sister!

Oh dear I had a mini heart attack. So to recap, I submitted my application online September 5th but my account statement reads August 8th to September 6th because I printed out on September 7th ..

am literally crying embarassed
You really don't need to worry,i printed my statement from 4th of aug till 1st of Sept, it was same statement i used for my CAS too and i submitted my application on the 6th of sept but except i am not understanding i am pretty sure you are safe cos you have extra 15/30 days to use that particular bank statement.

The argument is that the money in your bank must stay 28days before paying and submitting your visa application online, any day extra after submitting visa application online is considered void

Hello house.

Please I want to understand how the bank statement works, should it be in your account for 28 days before you submit and pay for your Application on line? for example if you submit your application on line September 1st, and then your 28 days statement ends on September 3rd then you print your bank statement September 4th, so that means the application was submitted online before the statement clocked 28days but still waited for it to clock 28days before printing.

So please house which one is it or it doesn’t really matter if you submitted online before or after your statement clocked 28days as far as your statement is 28days.

I submitted and paid for my application on September 5th, I printed out my statement on September 7th which carries dates from August 8th to September 6th. Please am I safe ?

Thank you
So which one did you use in getting your CAS or your sch doesn't request for bank statement during your pre CAS?

Cancel if you can and start afresh for your own peace of mind.

I can not cancel again because my school visa compliance officer has emailed me that they can see that a decision on my visa has been made. cry

Although when I tracked it, it’s still saying it’s at DMC, I did a walk in on September 9th at VI and my school emailed me September 14th.

I heard that UKVi informs your school when decision has been made though.

I heard VI is slow now , ikeja is fast

Which statement did you use in getting your CAS?

My CAS was very late , came almost 3 weeks and half, so I decided to print a fresh bank statement to be on the safe side and I stupidly did not put my dates backward when printing , I should have printed from August 5th or 6th cry

Why?
Do you know anyone who has gone there to get passport without receiving a collection mail?

Yes. Even someone on here today.
Tracker updated to “transferred to vac” and few hours later he came back to testify.

That is not being disputed because I saw same and abide by same. Just trying to correct the insinuation that kinwin was lying.
