Well for transportation
Air fare cost NGN20,500 per adult to CALABAR
Fare to the hotel from Calabar airport NGN2,000
Journey from Calabar to Uyo NGN2,100
Journey from Uyo to Eket: NGN1,500
Journey from Eket to Ibeno Beach: NGN300 to and fro.

I hope this is sufficient

We did not get to move around a lot in both states but from the few areas we touched ground, in my opinion, Akwa Ibom has well tarred roads and better infrastructure.

So many places to visit in Nigeria but impossible to venture around because of insecurities and kidnapping.

Eket was cool, served in Eket. Eket people seemed more friendly than Uyo people.
Not seemed. Eket people are very lovely & friendly. It's Uyo people that seem uncouth & hostile.
Another thing is that in Uyo, they assume you are automatically an Ibibio speaker (or rather they force their language in your head by fire by force). Very somehow people.

Firstly, You are not a good documenter. The photos look drab ,poor quality and uninspiring . You should have gone on a sunny day with cloudless blue skies.
Secondly, The government needs to ban child labor/abuse and street & roadside hawking , it makes the entire place look dirty and ugly. They also need to stop painting the medians and side of roads black and white.
LOL... But the black and white paint can look very nice if the road also has good markings and the environment is very good.

How do you know the guy does not wish Akwa ibom well? I think a lot of Akwa ibom people have some sort of inferiority complex and envy towards Efiks & Calabar , they always feel a need to compare Akwa Ibom to Calabar or desire Calabar to fall and Akwa ibom to rise . For example, the many Akwa ibom people like the guy's comment saying he saw nicer roads in akwa ibom than Calabar. Very bad mentality. While other ethnic groups are showcasing and celebrating their many cities . what Akwa ibom people do not understand is that Efik/Calabar is the backbone and pride of Efik/ibibio ethnic group and should be cherished and protected. if Calabar falls the entire ethnic falls. I just don't know what's wrong with Akwa ibom people. They are now creating oron, ibibio and anang bibles instead of using only the Efik bible. with such foolish divisive behaviors the ethnic group looks very weak and volatile and may face extinction within 100 years.
Despite the fact Akwa ibom receives 6 times Cross river allocation, it's still trying to catch up in infrastructure and compare with Calabar . and the ratio of interstate residents : Ibomites living in CRS 40,000 VS CrossrRiverians living in AKS 1,000 .
Akwa ibomites have been appointed commisioners and special assistant but not even one person from cross river has been hired by Akwa ibom .
I repeat, what's wrong with Akwa ibom people? Only time will soon tell .
eyeneka take am easy, don't let the opinions of few Akwa ibomites make you generalize and make you think we are all like that.
We're still one brother

Cross River oil wells was given to akwa ibom. Akwa ibom now receives 6 times Cross river's allocation. The current Cross River Governor is out of touch and lacks passion to develop Calabar because he's not from Calabar, he's from the northern border town close to Obudu .
Based on the images and videos I've seen so far I think Calabar is not that bad. I think there's lack of maintenance. Like I said, the government needs to ban child labor and street hawking and also stop painting the sides of roads black &White. Those things really make the place look hideous. The government needs to deport thousands of Akwa ibom people because most of the kidnappers prostitutes and armed robbers in Calabar are from Akwa ibom.
what a biased view, did you arrest these culprits and they told you they're from Akwa ibom?

Point to note: the road from Calabar to Uyo is in a very terrible state. We didn't even get up to 3mins of smooth ride as we swung from bad pot holes to another.

We hope that the government can do something about this asap. However as we journeyed ahead, we stopped just about the entrance of getting into the main town due to low fuel.

The driver had to park by the road side to get fuel so we could continue the journey

If I had seen this thread earlier, I'd have cautioned you travelling to Uyo via road. You probably should have taken a boat from Creek Town to Oron and use the road to Uyo. Due to the deplorable road situation, it's shorter. People have spent more than five hours on that Calabar - Uyo Road. Five years ago, the trip took not more than two hours and not more than an hour seven years ago (circa 30 - 45 mins).

That was when we are still governed by PDP. We are in mess now.

He used park and not roadside.
If u are based in calabar, u will know that roadside buses rarely exist. Infact, i haven't found one during my stay over there. What we have are certified parks. Just visit eta-agbor, u will meet several parks such as AKTC, PMT and many others. We also have PMT at Watt market area.

That was then bro. Covid 19 changed all that. Two a seat, coupled with the terrible road made the cost to go up
I thought not all complied by that social distancing rules in buses.
