Dumb and criminal illiterate. In as much as I am totally against Yahoo boys, it is not SARS' job to harass random people and go through their phone and social media accounts. You need warrant to check someone's phone. It would have been better if these criminals only search phones but their main aim is to rob their victims under the threat of gun. Merely having 3 different banking apps may lead to threats and extortion. first of all it is very illegally and unethical to check someone's phone because you suspect he might be a Thief or Yahoo boy, it is against the human right of that person. there are other ways you can investigate someone. the police and our banks should be working hand in hand so if there's any significant increase of money in someone's bank account the bank can alert the police, who in turn will call you in for questioning and if your answer is not satisfactory enough they can get a search warrant from a judge with good reasons then they can search your phone and house simple. they can do this without violating any bodies right. 126 Likes 7 Shares |

What's wrong is that you want to use analog techniques to detect digital crime. It's a no-no sir. Even if Yahoo Boys steal money from the internet, is the internet Nigeria's jurisdiction for policing? Why not focus on crimes committed on Nigeria's physical location and leave the cyber police to monitor the internet and track offenders instead of arresting boys who drive 7m cars.
