SilverNorGold:You're still a long way from the point. It's very simple. Show PROOF that the protest is being fuelled by HUNGER. What you're doing is akin to saying that people attend weddings only because they're hungry and there's free food there. It's a fact that people eat at weddings. It's a fact that people mingle at weddings It's a fact that people exchange currents at weddings. But we all know the reason for attending weddings is to rejoice and celebrate with the couple. Again show PROOF that the protesters have no food to eat at home and are buoyed by the prospect of free food. 3 Likes |

Agbegbaorogboye: My brother, the basic proof is the fact that NIGERIA IS THE POVERTY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD, coupled with the allegations of people diverting from the initial aim of the protest, by thousands of protesters, are sufficient proof. I don't have to go to their houses - which is impossible even if I want to - to verify. However, verified reports of the poverty state of Nigeria is enough for me to know that NO FOOD in most houses.. But Nigeria go better..

Trust me, our cries have been heard and all demands will be implemented. President Mohammadu Buhari means well for Nigeria. Let's be patient, my lovely brother. God bless us all.. 1 Like |

SilverNorGold: So who is to blame? This protest have been able to raise over 75 million and have used only over 10 million to feed protesters across the nation this first week With a balance of over 60million remaining How much did the minister claim she spent? How many Nigerians felt even a bit of it? The main issue is that this protest have opened the eyes of young people to the power they posses in this modern world And it's a very good catalyst Young people are seeing there power They have the numbers This is just a preamble to 2023 election The youth Democratic Party they are proposing should come on line Every young person should be encouraged to make sure they vote We must legally and through the ballot box chase away all these old men that have squanderd our patrimony Enough is enough We must take this nation through voting Our eyes has been opened by whatever that has happened this week 4 Likes |

djon78: My brother, now you speak like a patriot. Enough is enough! I love to see people fight for the wellbeing of Nigeria, irrespective of our party differences. We can never agree on one particular party or ideology, but as long as we all agree to make Nigeria great, I will be happy.. Now that the government has begun implementing all our demands, why not sheathe our swords and watch how things, especially now that our cries have been heard ALL OVER THE WORLD and tweeted by renowned personalities, go? Regarding the minister, I have commented above regarding it, please check the first page. As for corrupt and wicked political elements, their days of sabotaging Nigeria are numbered. God bless you for this comment, my brother. |

SilverNorGold: Im staunch supporter of Buhari, go though my old post if you think Im lying..The truth is that the youth are tired..The government keep pushing every burden on us once they need money, why increase fuel at this critical time when there is no money , no palliatives during the lockdown, electricity increase, they promised to fix refineries 5yrs ago nothing has been done, a bag of rice is 30k ,do you know some people can no longer afford to eat ordinary rice? The government is being incentive towards the plight of the people. The endsars you hearing people chanting actually means we are tired.we have been pushed to the wall...I know Buhari means well but he's not doing enough hence people lost hope in him.If we cant see positive changes the past 5yrs,is it now you expect us to see changes?? 2 Likes |

SilverNorGold:There's no food in most Nigerian houses? Prove it. The world poverty clock who named Nigeria poverty capital of the world puts the number of poor at about 90m out of 200m. The term poverty capital is a description for having the highest number of poor people not that most homes are without food. That said, you pronounce blessings on the man who has the mandate to turn the statistics around while you leave the people who need the blessings more to their fate then turn around to blame them for seeking for food. Judge yourself. Finally, even if most homes are without food, you still have not shown proof that those protesters come from such homes. 2 Likes |

adekennis: My brother, you have spoken well.. The current issue President Mohammadu Buhari is solving is a cumulation of issues of several years, coupled with the fact that our primary source of income is down. It's not gonna be easy, for sure. It would require sacrifice and patience from us.. But truth be said, our leaders really destroyed this country. They did terrible damages to it. But their day of judgment is coming.. And very close.. Nigeria must be great. |

SilverNorGold:I oppose because I'm part of the protesters. And I know I'm not hungry, don't smoke weed or in need of "exchange of currents*. To reduce the lawful exercise our legitimate right to a struggle for food is as insulting as saying our ability to breath is a waste. It's an attempt to purchase an alibi for the powers to use anytime they determine they've had enough of us and brute force is the way forward. It is pure evil and you ought to be shamed 3 Likes |

SilverNorGold:Speaking of poverty. President Buhari whom you worship said in 2019, that he'll pull 10m people out of poverty by creating 10m jobs every year for the next five years. Where are the 10m jobs of 2019-20 since you said he's different. Let's start from there. 2 Likes |

Agbegbaorogboye: My good brother, the about 86.9 million people are living in extreme poverty, NOT just POVERTY, please take note of the adjective "extreme".. It doesn't mean ONLY 86.9 million people live in poverty.. Their poverty is EXTREME, and there are others who live in POVERTY... Also, note that "have no food" as written isn't literal, and shouldn't be taken literally. It means they live from hand to mouth or STRUGGLE to survive. Regarding the "blessing part", you know it's a wrong accusation. I am not showering blessings on any one particular entity. I also "shower" blessings on Nigeria, the President, the masses, the Patriots and even those who attack me. Anyone can easily verify this by going through my posts. Really disappointed in you for resorting to lies, but it's okay. It should be expected. The kind of patriotic job we do, fighting for the greatness of Nigeria, comes with all manner of surprises, and we've seen them all, that we aren't surprised anymore. All my points above are sufficient proof that most of the protesters are now after food and other pecs, like I have said before. If you still want me to send you screenshots of people's home, you'll have to bankroll the expenses and I'll gladly oblige. If not, then accept the sources I cited, which, to me, are sufficient. God bless you, my brother. |

SilverNorGold:Still you miss the point. Whether extreme poverty or mild poverty, my aim is to show you that you can't use that statistics to make a claim that most homes in Nigeria are without food. Always read and understand issues. You say I lie? Do you need me to screenshot your signature text for you? At least I have proof of what I assert now. Again you still miss the point as usual. Good you now realise what is needed to prove your statement about food being the driving factor for the protesters. An admission that you lack the capacity and resources to carry out that test should show you that your initial claim is baseless and a slander and should be discarded. You should also apologize for depending on hearsay to make sweeping statements on people. What "patriotic job" do you do exactly? By every indices of being a patriot, I can assure you that you fall miserably. Find something else to call whatever you do. |

SilverNorGold:What does the price of oil have to do with making a promise and keeping it. He never said he was making that promise based on the price of oil. He was not coerced or pressured into making it neither was it a campaign statement. It's a pointer to his inability to mean what he says and say what he means. 1 Like |

Agbegbaorogboye: My brother, we all know the HEALTH of the ECONOMY IS ESSENTIAL for diversification and creation of jobs. When there's little money, how do you expect government to even cater for basic needs like payment of salaries? Not to talk of investing into other areas. Also, failing to keep a promise doesn't necessarily mean you intentionally jettisoned it. It could mean circumstances, beyond your control, are responsible. But despite that, the Buhari administration has done a lot to provide jobs in the area of agriculture, infrastructure, and other programs. He has also approved the commencement for Special Public Works Programme which will engage 1000 persons from each of the 774 Local Government Areas in the country.. Other programmes are being deliberated on and will be unveiled soon. The government is also working on power, which previous administrations wrecked, by looting huge amounts of money, meant for its improvement, and later abandoned. Once there's stable electricity, it'll boost entrepreneurship and businesses will grow. This in turn will create jobs.. All these require enormous funds. But President Buhari has managed to sail through.. So, please, my good brother, let us be patient. President Mohammadu Buhari means well for Nigeria. God bless us all. |

Agbegbaorogboye: My beloved brother, you're beginning to turn this peaceful discussion into personal attack.. Please calm down. Mild poverty, extreme poverty, are very important, my brother. Read your post, you completely missed it. Show humility for once. Lol.. I hope you got my previous post? That should help.. Regarding food, proof of hunger, etc.. I am 100% certain you are intentionally avoiding to read those points I noted earlier. I, however, urge you to go back and reread them.. I have proven, satisfactorily, using data collected from various protesters, some of which can be seen on the Front Page of this glorious forum.. My brother, please, be calming down, no be war... Protesting my patriotic tag is none of my business as it's clearly your own opinion. And I respect it.. If you don't see me as a patriot, there are others who do, and all of you are entitled to your opinions. God bless us all. |
