OUR ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT WE REFUSE TO LEARN FROM HISTORY. THE OBA IS LUCKY HIS LIFE AND THAT OF HIS FAMILY MEMBERS ARE SAFE. WHEN THE CUSTODIAN OF THE SOCIETY TURN AGAINST HIS PEOPLE, THE FIRST PERSON TO BEAR THE RUTH IS THAT PERSON. THE SAME GOES TO CHURCH. BE ON THE SIDE OF THE MASS ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE ON THE SIDE OF THE TRUTH.

Oba that cannot stand and face his people is that one oba? Oba that cannot defend his throne and Palace, how can he defend the people he is supposed to protect, oba that kept palliatives meant for his people for himself and his chiefs. Oba that ran away like a woman while his domain is desecrated, that kept quiet while soldiers shoot unarmed civilians in his domain is that one fit to be called oba ?

Hmm, never knew a time would come when Kabiyesi, a first class traditional ruler and Oba of Lagos would be demistified and chased away like a commoner while his palace and mini lagoon is disecretely desecreted.

Anyway, the youths have made their points and their voices have been heard by government and the rest of the world.

They must now hasten to retreet back to the trenches and allow government address their concerns.

Let us have it at the back of our mind that this continued brigandage and wanton destruction of lives and properties would only lead to the loss of goodwill and by extension, the opportunity to be at a roundtable and have meaningful discussions with the government.

Lastly, we must all bear in mind also that whatever that is being destroyed in this country today is in one way or the other our means of livelihood, be it a hotel, a police station, a court or any other government and private property. This destructions would only bring more hardship to the people whose interest the protesters are supposedly defending.

Please let us call on our brothers and sisters to back out of this protest and allow law and order return to our various communities as no meaningful development can take place in any atmosphere devoid of peace.
