Abdulazeez99:
A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to narrate the bitter events surrounding the burial of her father,Igbere TV reports.

@ijayy_ who revealed that three graves were dug just to bury her father, stated that it was because his kinsmen hijacked his corpse.

The lady further disclosed that her father's kinsmen refused burying him in his land because it is a ''virgin'' land.

Igbere TV reports that the Twitter user who noted that everything one sees in Igbo movies are true and in fact worse, advised women to always study the culture of Igbo men they want to marry.

As expected, na Indigenous People of potopoto republic.

They can sell their mother for money.

Lagos made a big mistake of giving them so much space.

That's why I like the north. They always make those ndi ara know their rightful position.

What your so-called son called impossible is what Buhari has achieved for you. Now your port is working.

But instead of being grateful, they repay with curses and insults. Are you surprised? Legend has it that they wake their fathers with kick.

Lagos gave them asylum. But they only repayed with hate and insult. Such disgusting beings.

The thunder wey go fire them still dey do press-up. Awon oni ranu, akoshi bero.

You are such a lunatic. Am sure your dumbass is among the many Nigerians who advocated for our common interest tagged #EndSARS #Endpolicebrutality among other tags of choice, and virtually all state especially in the west and eastern part of the country partook in the struggle. If olodo like you continue with your low IQ of dividing us at very slight opportunity then I wonder why people like you complain when bad people rule. Igbos are fantastic people, and that's won't change with your senseless opinion.

And back to the real matter, pretty sister I feel your pain but let God judge the unjust. He will definitely fight your battle.

These are some of the reason other tribes are running from becoming Igbo inlaws...
What is wrong with burying a dead body in a virgin land?..the essence of burying is to avoid the decomposing body contaminate people in the surrounding....and to serve as a memorial or monument for the deceased...now, this aim has been defeated by fighting on where to bury an ordinary corpse....what a shame!
Go to the north and see how they bury their loved ones like a chicken and move on....
The burial program is one of the main priority programs in Igbo land....while it is one of the least priority in both Hausa and Yoruba land...
Tueh!/ I spit on your deluded cultural mentality

God bless you they even value berial more than wedding place much premium on the dead than the leaving.

My advice, let your late father's kinsmen bury him in whatever location they want, don't argue with them and if they want the virgin land let them have it and move on with your life. Those kinsmen are very wicked people. After the burial of my father I almost got killed too and I know what I suffered from. Your life and the lives of your mother and other siblings are precious.

This lady is writing complete nonsense!

It is not Igbo culture or tradition, it is your father's family tradition and wickedness. It is about your family, your father, his siblings, the kindred your father came from.

It's about your father's community not about Igbo culture or tradition.

You are a foolish girl, a wild girl who think because you are putting on fake lashes, fake wig and trouser qualified you to be rude and unruly to your father's kinsmen, and they have taught you a big lesson.

If you like marry a Fulani man or Idoma or Ibira or Yoruba, or white man, we all will be here to read your rants of how they have treated you illy too, so go and sit down, you are as evil and bad as your father's kinsmen, foolish girl angry
YOU SOUND BITTER AND LIKE A MAN WHO WASNT RAISED BY HUMANS BUT ANIMALS. you had a chance to give your wise input on the issue but ended up disgracing the farm you originated from.

I hate it when people who don't understand how stuff works complain if it doesn't go their way.
Possibly, her uncle's were greedy and tried to twist the custom for their selfish interest.
Possibly she was being hotheaded and "feminist" and refused to listen so that things could be properly explained to her.
Possibly, both parties (her uncles and herself) messed it all up.
But that doesn't give her the right to vilify the entire tribe.
The Igbo tradition much like almost evry other tribe in Africa does not accord preeminence or headship to women (even the Bible and Qouran doesn't), neither does it thrash women. In fact, some parts Igboland, the importance of motherhood is so expressed, that bride price of a lady is paid to her maternal home and not her father's!
Her uncles may have messed up due to their own greed or whatever motive, but that shouldn't make her generalize.
People shouldn't just blurt out their opinions on what they don't understand because some one or something hurt them and try to pass of such opinions as facts. That is very unintelligent!

THE IGBO CULTURE DOES NOT OPPRESS WOMEN

Quite likely.
Imagine the generalisation.
Her father is yet to rest peacefully and she is already out castigating and blackmailing her uncles on social media to cover-up the above.

Something is inherently wrong with her story.
