For someone that was refused a UK visit Visa in 2009 and is just about to apply for a student visa.
1. Since it's more than 10 years,should it stated?
2. The refusal slip is missing and I can't remember the reason for refusal,how is the best way to explain this while filling the visa application?

Note the visit Visa was later granted in 2009 but the initial one was rejected.

Awaiting inputs please guys cause I just got my CAS.

I did my Biometrics on the 30th of Sept at Ikeja, got Decision mail 19/10 and no collection mail since then. Who else is in my shoes and how do you plan to proceed from here.

(1) What type of visa will I apply for?
(2) Do I need any document from her to apply as a dependent?
(3) If I receive the visa, must I resident and work in the UK? What if I decided to continue with my work here in Nigeria.
(4) Will I also qualify for PSW visa after her studies?

2. Her BRP, status letter to show that she's registered, passport. You also need your marriage certificate and if possible about 5-10 pictures to show that you have a genuine relationship. Your funds must also have been held in the manner stipulated by UKVI.

3. You must reside in the UK if you are looking at qualifying for ILR along with your spouse because any period spent outside the UK which exceeds the permitted absence period will be counted as a break in your stay in the UK.
If you decide to continue living and working in Nigeria, you'll be better off applying for a standard visitor visa until you're ready to move to the UK.

4. Once your wife successfully completes her course, she can apply for the PSW and you can apply as her dependant.

Hello house, I applied for a student visa last month when I went to pick my passport there was visa on it but it has been cancled with a red biro. Reason for that was.. They said I had an entry vias to Gambia and they said it was not genuine but I genuinely went to Gambia with my wife December 2017 and the immigration officer at the point of entry stamped our passport. I have then appeal with evidences like Filght Ticket, Boarding pass, Hotel ticket, pictures , videos. But it's more than 4 weeks I haven't gotten mail or reply I want to know if anyone has had this issue and how long it took and if there is anything else I need to do. Thanks

You will still need to declare it. I was refused canada study visa twice in 2014 (same month). I still had to mention it (I did not have any letter about the refusals but I had like a documentation for one the refusals so I just stated that one since the refusals happened same period. I felt when they will ask I will mention the second one but they did not ask me anything about it.

Please mention the refusal, it's only the year, month and reason you will need to state.

I was told to mail my course leader to get an interview date, no response since 26th. Were you given date by the school?
After interview normally you should get response within 7days
