Charging port has nothing to do with adding bars.... any thing pertaining battery not adding or not charging fast. its either the board is bad, the flex is faulty, the charging IC is damaged or the battery itself is not good.

Did it fall inside water or did rain beat the phone cheesy ? I'm also guessing that it is overheating too.
