A Coalition of Islamic scholars in Kano has called on the state assembly to make a law for the punishment of those who commit blasphemy. The coalition made the call during a courtesy visit to Abdulazeez Gafasa, speaker of Kano house of assembly.

Speaking during the visit, Ibrahim Muazzam, a member of the coalition, said the need for the law to punish blasphemers was agreed upon during a recent public lecture over the “blasphemy” against Prophet Muhammad by President Emmanuel Macron of France.

Muazzam said to prevent the breakdown of peace in Kano, it is necessary for a law to be in place to punish those who commit blasphemy.

He said the coalition embarked on consultation to prevent any “hard reaction” that might trail the comments made by the France president against Prophet Muhammed.

Our resolutions include that the state government should replace the teaching of French language in all schools with Arabic language,” he said.

Muslims should boycott French products as well as their economic, financial and political interests until France is pulled down to its knees.

“Muslims worldwide should consider Macron and his administration as paragons of Islamophobia.

“Muslims should re-affirm their faith in, and love of, prophet Muhammad (Upon Whom is Peace) and should strive to spread his message and character of mercy and peace.

“United Nations Organization (UNO) to prevail upon its agencies as well as international NGOs to desist from supporting all acts of blasphemy and to caution them that freedom of speech does not extend to infringement on other people’s faith.”

In his response, the speaker said the assembly supports the resolutions of the coalition, adding that the assembly would make laws to support existing peace and unity in the state.

We are fully in support of the resolution, and we are going to do everything within our power to ensure the enactment of the law, and also the enforcement,” Gafasa said.

“In those areas that we have no power over it, we are going to write to the relevant authorities on the issue.”

They will never keep their so called leaders on their feet to provide good governance but will fight till death for a god that cant defend itself.Misplaced priority!

Let them and their representatives in the NASS continue to focus on fighting for a god, educating, rehabilitating & granting BH terrorists amnesty, romancing bandits, social media/hate speech bill, #EndSARS issue, born-to-rule power grabbing mentality while the region degenerate some more.

Mad idiots.

Useless pedophiles.

I am a Muslim, but any god that cannot fight for himself and his followers is a goat. Allah does not need any group of idiots to fight for Him.

These overzealous people should allow god to fight for himself na since he is all-powerful.

Why is that so difficult?

This is the kind of overzealousness that breeds radicalism.

sad Even though I'm a born again Christian, I think I support such laws against blasphemy. President macron goofed by his Islamophobic actions and as Christians we must learn to respect other people's religious beliefs. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is so sacred to the Muslims just like our Lord Jesus christ is to we Christians. So we really need to be careful not to provoke the anger of Muslims. sad

This:
“Muslims should re-affirm their faith in, and love of, prophet Muhammad (Upon Whom is Peace) and should strive to spread his message and character of mercy and peace.

And this:

A Coalition of Islamic scholars in Kano has called on the state assembly to make a law for the punishment of those who commit blasphemy.

Where is the mercy and peace in killing your fellow human being for his own opinion, so going by their statement, it means they are taught to love muhammed and kill those who hate him, if it were to be so in religion then the world would have finished a long time ago.

The North is gone

You are not a Christian, stop coming here to deceive people, no Christian will support this, to kill for your God or prophet, that's intolerance, would you say the same should start in Christianity?
So you will kill someone because of your God, every man has freedom to say whatever he wants to say, if I form a religion today and water is my God and I state that anybody that drinks water should be killed, and I start killing people, does it make any sense? Muhammed is also in history for those studying who might be muslim or any other religion, and they have right to judge him based on their perception about him, same way others both in the bible and world event books like hitler are now studied in history, everyone has the right to say what ever they want say about them based on their perception, if every person starts killing for people that they love based on an abuse or insult, the world would have ended a long time ago....

I blame Europe for what they're facing today, I was shouting when there was mass exodus from the middle east into europe, I knew it will be a disaster, If I were macron I will ban anything muslim in France and deport any person who is a muslim, even if you are from france I will de-citizenship you immediately and ask you the islamic country you want to go to, we will grant you asylum to practice your religion in full mode, so you will not disturb us and we will not disturb you...
