I have renewed my passport twice (outside Nigeria), the recent one in September and none has my previous passport number on it. Don't know why the difference.

Aside Lagos and Abuja, all other immigration offices in Nigeria dont have sophisticated softwares and machines. Do you knw u can renew ur passport without NIN in other states. So the information of old passport number on renewed one is true

It is very tough for UK or home student as their school fees is just 9250 pounds per year.

It is easier for international students as the slot is many and universities will choose you because of your money. You will be paying more than 20000 pounds per year compared to Home student. So that is about 100000 pounds more in the entire duration.

If you that kind of money sef, I won’t advise you to go to any school again. Lol

The IHS calculations is it for one person?. You are meant to pay the IHS per person and use your end of course date as the date for your visa expiry date. I suspect the 967 should be the correct payment and not the $1296 you have paid. You better cancel the application and ask for a refund and start all over again. Best of luck

You don't have to wait till exactly 13 December to start the passport renewal process. The 6 months is a general guide because they know that many countries don't allow people to travel with passports with less than 6 month's validity.

The last time I renewed my passport it had a bit more than 6 months before it expired (it was set to expire on 17 December and I started the renewal process in the first week of June and the new one was issued 12 June). Who knows, maybe you can even get it renewed now. Go and find out.

My course is for 15 months. However as the main applicant, I was not asked for Visa expiry date and I paid $1290.56. I read somewhere online that I am supposed to add 4 months to my course end date as Visa expiry date when paying IHS for dependants. See below what I read on Uni of Warwick website.

I don’t think you did anything wrong. Normally the main applicant ihs total fee is higher than the dependant.

I paid the same IHS charge for myself and all my dependants. I tried calculating the IHS for your dependant. I got £940.00 when I put that the person was applying alone as a child dependant and put in your course dates This is probably the same amount you paid for your application.

When I put that the person was applying to join a student and used your course end date as the visa expiry date, I got £705.00. The difference is the 4 months that is automatically added to the course end date to determine your visa expiry date in the first scenario.

Good morning pls I need ur advice urgently on this:

I already have admission at Middlesex uni and deadline to accept is 3 days time but the high cost of London is discouraging me based on self sponsor and limited finance.

Is it wise for me to wait for Birmingham City University admission which the sch agent did for me since 31st of Oct? I prefer Birmingham for obvious reason of low cost.

My fear is that if I did not accept middlesex now, won’t Birmingham disappoint me? And I will loose out of Jan intake.

Have there been cases of admission rejection at Birmingham City uni if u qualify because I have gone thru their requirements and I qualified ?

Note: I already have 4 admissions which was processed myself but tuition seems higher than budget.

Thanks for your response @Aprokodaughter. I did not know the calculations are different. I already added 4 months as Visa expiry date to my partner visa dependant IHS and I paid same fee as mine.

For my 2 children dependant. I did not add the 4 months as Visa expiry date on IHS and I have not made payment yet.

Would you suggest I cancel my partner visa dependant application and use my original course end date or I should continue with the visa application by paying for his Visa fees.
