i understand that been rude and impolite is something personal but looking around, some professions habour large number of these rude and stern set of peeps and it makes me wonder..
1. Nurses; i recently went to a generl hospital to see a friend and seeing the way these nurses handle patients makes me wonder if hostility is part of the nursing curriculum been thought in nursing school...a particular patient was screeming of pains and these nurses were just glued to their plasma television watching zeeworld..i understand the work load is quite cumbersome but does that justify thier carlous attitude towards people they are meant to take care of...

2. bankers; epecially the ones in the customer care stand...their attitude can be very anoying

3.Nepa staff; hmmmm these ones ehn, their ear is selectively non receptive to the word "abeg"...most especially the ones assigned to disconnect light

4. doctors; though a few medical doctors are nice, there is still a large chunck of very rude medical doctors..u see them operating phone and chatting when a patient is right before them struggling for life

this is not to say there arent nice and dedicated staffs in the above listed profesionals but a very good number of them are, in summary, quite rude to say the least..

Well... The Reason why they are Rude is Because they think we think they are cheap, they begin to act like a judge to the Patient, Clients, Customers etc

First as you get the job you get orientation, part of the orientation is smile at customers or clients, talk politely and stand up if you can... Cameras are everywhere and your supervisor or manager has the CCTV screen in his office, customer and clients have feedback chanels everywhere ,a query means suspension without pay, 3 queries is straight sack

In Nigeria no checks and balances, no quality control, nothing nothing

It's probably cos of the perceived poverty and illiteracy level of thier clients. They are never rude to me cos I always talk and appear like a rich man to them.. I've been praying secretly for one rude behaviour towards me... I'll show them what ondo stubbornness looks like

I stood for like 5 min and all of a sudden she shouted '" young man don't be stupid , you can see I'm eating , will you get out of this place. ". She proceeded to insult me in Yoruba too. Out of embarassment, I went out and went back in again after like 30 min. I waited for 30min to be sure she must have finished her food coz I no want another round of embarassment. So I got in greeted and re explained myself. She dey use me watch television . After standing for about 5 min she stretched her hands signifying me to hand the paper over to her. Then in her words she was like "did you pick this paper out of the dustbin"
She tore it, threw it at me and asked me to get out. As I was going out, she still called me back and asked me to pick up the mess (torn paper) on the floor.

I kept my cool coz I no want situation where person go mark my face and dey find my matric number .

I witnessed a similar situation with a staff once. This Igbo woman was known for the fact that she was always very rude and insultive to everyone, so I wasn't surprised at all...

The doctors are probably browsing on how to fix their present situation

Nurses feel they do more work than doctors, but their pay doesn't reflect.

Because they know the students can't do them any favour and the students most times don't have a choice.

Na wa oòooo. I remember back then in uniben, I entered the shuttle bus from maingate going towards hall 3. There was this idiot man that works at the Dean of students office was sitting behind me. The man wanted to stop at the Dean of students office and the next thing that happened, the man started using his hands to rob my head consistently. I complained bitterly and asked him to stop doing that. He responded by saying "This one wey you dey so, you are even worse than dead body." I wanted to attack him straight on but I restrained myself upon realising that I am close to my final year and uniben was always expelling students who were victims of circumstances in the hands of uniben staffs including the lowest admin staffs and never gave any of the students fair hearing.
