On the 22nd of July 2020, baba40 approached me for an engine replacement for hIs defective engine.

This was an engine that was smoking, rattling , and burning oil excessively.

His engine was replaced and he had no complaints for several months.

Sadly his true nature was revealed to me tonight when I went through his Facebook profile. He placed his old engine up for sale on the 23rd of July (next day) with the header, runs pretty well. What is saddening is that this guy didn't just try to sell a defective engine to strangers on a public platform, but to friends and family .

Was this necessary? He has every right to sell his engine at any price he deems fit. Even though I am appalled by the lack of sincerity in description title.

On the same day he sold the engine to me to offset his bills. Looks like a double sale, if he succeeded in getting a buyer he would have negated on our agreement.

Is this not the same guy crying fowl? What if Somone actually paid 100,000 for that engine? Would he have provided a warranty?

Oga Gazzuz. Whatever or how much he decided to sell that engine doesn't concern you. if he succeeded or not, as long as he didn't abrogate your agreement there is no need bringing a screenshot with his full name onto this forum. It is the business deal he had with you that is the matter to be discussed. was he insincere in the description?; Yes, does it concern you?; No.

Try as much to clear up yourself, not in this immature way. Do not tarnish the image you have built up on this forum.

He who comes into equity must come with clean hands.

Baba40 you have questions to answer, your advert clearly states engine runs fairly well without the air-conditioning.

Would you sell this type of engine to your mother or father at the quoted price?

It does concern him, because had it been someone showed interest he would have reneged on the engine sale to Gazzuzz as a percentage of his bill. And what kind of person would he be if the buyer of his said family okay engine later came to complain??

Would he offer a refund??

The business deal he had with me is and was concluded long ago.

This engine sale shows that the individual who brought up a case against me is a cunning and deceitful liar. At this point I am led to believe his engine is in good health.

Oga stop projecting rubbish to justify the fact that you scammed him.

How do you know it is the same engine he removed from his car? What does his personal life have to do with his transaction with you?

You sold him a faulty Engine that has been worked on and that you know will only last a few months. Now you want to project him as a scammer so you can deflect people's attention from your devious deed.

Go and settle with that man and either give him back a good engine or his money.

Spent 400k in this Buhari economy for an engine that barely lasted 3momths. Are you not more wicked than than the devil ?

You Sir are the dubious one for selling a Tokunbo engine that only lasted 3months. 400k was spent. Do you have any conscience whatsoever?

Dear OP, I followed through when a case was made against you. Digging his profile and how he sold his old engine doesn't and will never merit our consideration. I strongly believe he sold that engine to meet up with funds, purchase the new engine.

I've been meaning to ask you this simple questions;

1. When a contact was established, what was his request?

2. When he visited your workshop for inspection, what Engine was paid for? Also, indicate the Engine you offered.

3. Did you honor the agreement of a Fairly used or London used Engine?

4. If no, why did you defile an agreement of purchasing a fairly or London used Engine?

I'm asking this question because you were paid 400k for a London or Imported Used Engine, but ended up fixing a REPAIRED, Nigerian Used Engine.

We need answers and clarification please.

Protect your business and name.

Sequel to the thread created by Baba40 I wish to clear the air.

https://www.nairaland.com/6270804/gazzuzz-dubious-insultive-arrogant-being#96294091

1. I entered into a contract to replace the engine, fluids and radiator for Baba40

2. The vehicle was recently purchased by baba40 prior to meeting me and was massively abused.

3. A Foreign used engine was procured and installed with a 3month warranty or 3000km which ever comes first.

4. I did not receive any complaints from Baba40 until after the expirations of his warranty.

5. The procured engine in the market where it was sourced comes with a 1 week warranty and not a money back guarantee. (They will fix and not replace in the event of failure).

6. As a responsible entity we stick our necks out for our clients because we stand by what we sell.
We give long warranties so in the case of failure the client is covered.

7. I was contacted on the 4th month and after over 3,340km that engine installed on baba40's vehicle suffered oil burn.

8. As a responsible entity I offered him a window of full refund for expense made on engine procurement and installation . The window was 24hrs.

9. Baba40 Did not respond to my offer, but rather insulted me further.

10. 3weeks after the offer elapsed he opened the thread above.

I have sold and installed hundreds of engines to nairalanders on this platform. Over 99per of the time it turns out well without issues. There are times it does not. This is possibly one of those cases.

In the past i have fully refunded aggrived clients for all funds expended as written in the invoice (fluids, labour , logistics, and parts) and also installed their old parts back, I can call out 2 nairalanders that have received this gesture this year. Business is not all about money but about having a good name and brand.

Thank you.

Gazzuzz.

Hundreds indeed. Just like this your customer below.

kodred:
This same issue played out with me and gazzuzz. Same july. Bought a tokunbor corolla engine and it was already shorting oil in 3 days. I complained to him and he gave me same ultimatum of removing the engine within 24hrs. I was like calm down it hasn’t gotten to that, is there nothing else that can be done and he was like no and that if I take the car out of his garage with the faulty engine, I should never bother him about it anymore.

I spent over 300k to get an engine replacement because you’re supposedly a pro and all I get is this kind of treatment? No courtesy, no customer service, no empathy. You stress me, you stress my car, stress my bank balance and you’re still being proud about it? You think it is easy to fork out over 300k on a car in this perilous times. Hell no, I told him to replace my old engine.

I knew about his arrogance and pride but still opted to work with him because I thought I was dealing with a professional.

He made me lose valuable time and also some money. I really hated my experience with him. With baba40’s experience, I’ve concluded that it’s either he doesn’t know what he’s doing or he’s doing it on purpose. I mean you can’t repeatedly collect faulty engines from your suppliers after claiming to having all these years experience.

Baba40 I totally get you bro even though you goofed big time.
