..so people should be treated like non-entities because "oga" puts in a lot to run a "successful business".

People like you have been oppressed for so long it's affected your thinking faculty.

You are just another lazy yoot grin

Don't work for anyone; run your own business

Don't ever work for this kind of employer because he will always find faults, he can even set you up so you can fall on those rules and then be deducting your salary.

There is no Way he wont cut at least 30k from your salary every month.

This is like accepting to work for 100k while you earn 70k

A friend of mine (NLder) works at a supermarket in abuja.. pay na change... Aside his first month on d job, d boy never ever go house wit full salary once.. deductions here n there.. last night he called to tell me that 16'500 was deducted from his n other staffs salaries... Monthly pay na 40k..

Nothing wrong if you’re not planning to be lackadaisical towards work.

This is to promote effectiveness at work.

Everything is wrong, there's no way 40% of your salary won't be deducted whether you show lackadaisical attitude towards work or not, that's simply a set up.

The nature of most HR jobs involves team work, so why those monsters rules. I agree with some like punctuality but that repeating herself is stupid.
It promotes effectiveness yet Nigeria still they like as if nothing is working. Japanese are the most workaholic people in the world with strict rules yet such nonsense will not come in play.

Nigerians are unruly and hate rules.

Yet, most of us want to work.

If the guy feels the conditions are harsh, he should go and start his own company.

It's easy to criticize your boss, but you don't know what he goes through just not to fail in his numerous obligations.

Running a successful business in Nigeria takes a lot; if it was that easy, who no go like be oga or madam?

No human being with compassion should set up business with such rules, that's a classical way to oppress your employees.
Failure to remind the management, don't make Oga repeat himself, damage of company items, lol what doesn't damage in the long run?

This is why I advise people to start their small scale business even if its groundnut business, crayfish, Carri, palm oil, okrika, POS, eggs, popcorn. Etc

Its far better than doing work of 50k without peace of mine. You don't have time for your self.

The game might be small for a start but with consistency you won't believe the gains.

You are your own boss

There are always three sides to a story.

In this case;

1. Your friend's wide of the story

2. The management's side

3. The truth as it actually happened.

I do not believe (and I believe that I am entitled to my opinion which is predicated on my experience spanning several years) that a serious management will deduct monies from productive staff in an arbitral manner. It will be very counter productive in the long run.

Hiring new staff puts a serious strain on resources and it is no easy task. Even if there are several candidates in the pool waiting to join the system there is training and adaptation to deal with before reasonable results will begin to show.

You looking for job from other messed up people attracts this nonsense to yourself. Its far better that you utilize what ever skills you're good at, then try to monetize and scale, so you can cash out bountifully from it, without putting yourself out there in the meatgrinder of capitalistic vultures who sees you as nothing more than a workhorse to be properly exploited, and expected to feel grateful for it.

Exactly. That's how I see it too. Nigerians are too lackadaisical with work that is why they'll frown at the rules. The woman must have experienced a lot insubordination from previous staff, hence the rules.
