Mr. Femijck, thank you for your constant enlightenment in this forum. I don’t know why people are still very much keen about the Nzeta Visa. Nigeria is not a visa waiver country to NZ. See the screenshot and link below:

There is actually no fixed day for the border reopening. We are all hoping for the best. You can check Stuff (stuff.co.NZ) or INZ (https://www.immigration.govt.nz/about-us/covid-19/coronavirus-update-inz-response) for news update.

Good day everyone, I want to enlighten all those coming out with different New Zealand e-Visa, I applied for New Zealand student visa since last year January, got a reply from a NZ immigration officer in February who requested for additional information which were submitted immediately but my visa has been on hold since then due to the border closure. For those disturbing our ogas in the house, New Zealand is currently not processing any visa outside their country irrespective of the type of visa. You can apply for your visa but it won't be processed. I hope they start processing visas outside New Zealand soon. Thanks to @femijck, @Hills2012. To us on the waiting list, we keep praying for God's intervention.

From 11:59 pm on Monday 25 January 2021 , most passengers travelling to New Zealand must provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result before departure. Customers transiting through New Zealand from the United Kingdom and the United States must also meet this requirement.
Key information:
For more information, please see the New Zealand Government COVID-19 website .
Managed Isolation Accommodation
All passengers arriving into New Zealand must register their managed isolation accommodation requirements to be permitted to board their flight. A Managed Isolation Allocation System Voucher will need to be presented at check-in. Accommodation can only be booked a maximum of 3 months in advance. We highly recommend checking managed isolation availability before booking your ticket and registering as soon as possible. For more information visit the MIQ Government site.

Changes to the travel experience
More than ever, we're focussed on the health and safety of our people and passengers.
We're therefore making temporary changes to our service offering on the ground and in the air.
Physical distancing at the airport and onboard
Where possible we will allocate additional space between customers onboard and will do our best to keep families and travelling companions together.
Please follow all crew instructions when onboard our aircraft and be mindful that every airport will have rules set by local authorities that you'll need to comply with.
Inflight food and beverages
We have paused parts of our service which increase interactions between crew and customers, such as offering hot towels or pre-takeoff drinks from a tray.
Our business premier™ menu has been simplified and is now delivered on a single service tray.
We will continue to provide special meals . Please request them when you book, as normal.
Wearing face coverings
You may be required by local law to wear a face-covering in the airport where your trip begins, where it ends or where you connect. From 26 January 2021, Air New Zealand requires all passengers to wear a face-covering on international flights. Face-coverings are already required by local legislation on all New Zealand domestic flights and on flights to some international destinations.
Cleanliness in the air and on the ground
We are taking extra steps to ensure all our aircraft, lounges, and airports are frequently cleaned. We are regularly cleaning our aircraft with antiviral products, approved for use by aircraft manufacturers and by the World Health Organisation. If you are travelling on an Air New Zealand operated flight inbound to New Zealand the crew on these flights will have a number of supplies onboard to provide customers on request, such as surgical masks and hand sanitiser.

It’s so painful to me. Qatar airlines didn’t board on Wednesday because I have a visitor visa and they said visitors aren’t welcome. I beg the woman at the Lagos airport but she refuse to carry me. My visa will expire March 6, I don’t even know of any extension.
I have a sticker visitor visa.

So, She open a bulletin book for me, which says only residents and citizens are allow to board the flights. I begged her even her colleagues beg her too, but she no gree. I have being working on my refund with Qatar Airlines.
What’s is painful to me is that my visa will expire March 6. Does anyone has the idea on weather they will do an extension or re issue the visa. More so, They have open all their off shore offices world wide.
Does anyone has the idea.
The visa affects many foreigners as well. But I think they haven’t talk about anything about visitors visa.

Brother!!! What I can say is that he should go to the airport precisely Qatar Airlines. He should give them money, So that they can open the bulletin book for him.
From my own perspective, he is already a resident so he will be allow to travel. That is if the visa is good and accurate. He will be allow to travel he should just go the airport. He should meet those Westport companies.
I would love to know his feed back.

No one can travel into NZ unless you have PR or are a citizen. I live here and have done so for almost 4 years. If I travel out now, I can't come back in because I don't have PR or citizenship. We work and pay taxes here and even own a house but we won't be let back in! That should tell you the case on ground.

I work with MOE and can categorically tell you that the borders are not open to any international students. We have been issuing approvals to education providers to deliver programmes online - this has always been restricted till now.

2500 masters and PhD students that need to be in the country to finish their courses have been issued a special permission to come in from March 2021 but they must:
1 - Be in the final year o their programme
2. Need to complete a practical element (ie need to be in NZ) to complete their qualification.

I know everyone is desperate to leave 9ja but please be sensible and stop throwing money away. Wait till the borders are open and don't throw your money away. Save it for when you actually need it.

PS - a transit visa only allows you to pass through ie change flights in NZ. It's not a visa for NZ.
