Brother you have said it all. I want to believe there are so many rules in maths that should be challenged.
They gave it to us and we've been following blindly.
That was how one of my lecturers got confused during my undergraduate days and he said "15" is constant. I've forgotten the topic self. And I remember he couldn't give us a concrete evidence when asked "why is 15 constant , why not 10,why not 5".

So nothing 1 time, nothing 2 times and nothing 1000 times 0r 1million times is still equal to nothing.

Eg) if i dont have 1 naira, if you ask me for 1 naira for 1 time or even 100 times, i still dont have any. that is it.

If you have 100 oranges on the table and you have not produced out of it, then it is zero product.

The oranges is not the result but a part of it. The multiplication has to do with an action.

If you look at the multiplication as an action, you will get why it is zero. Same goes for addition.

You have 100 Oranges in the farm and you plant them to reproduce. If they reproduce ten times their number, it is one thousand.

If they don't reproduce, how many products do they have, zero.

Work with product instead of multiplication.

I believe this answers your question.

Might be called genius but it is actually people who read to understand. We can spend hours on a simple thing another person will glance through the example and solve.

I get stuck trying to understand every phrase or step while reading. I don't know if that is genius because it slows learning.

Probably, you don't understand the meaning of multiplication, God says be fruitful and multiply. For multiplication to occur, it must be 2 entity that are not empty, Procreation is as a result of union of two people. Man with Nothing can not bring a child. The zero, in the expression will always affect the answer and make it to be nothing.

Well in mathematical law I believe its zero.....hence the question is more of a logical question than a mathematical question


So logically...in this type of question 0 x 3. let's make 0 the giver and 3 the receiver and in this vein 0 is the value side while 3 is the occurance side
In this perspective 0x3 equals zero for both the giver and the receiver or value side and occurrence side
But 3x0 is zero for the receiver or occurrence side and 3 for the giver or value side

More like the giver has got nothing to lose at anything and holds it value while the receiver has got everything to lose at all times

It is a mathematical principle. It just shows a count of zero is count to nowhere

Your emphasis should be on the answer which is what you are asking why it is 0.
So with our emphasis on the answer,
Let's explain this in a layman terms.
1. I have #0 you ask for money from me, you will get #0 no matter how many times you asked.
In this case 3times, you will still get #0.
0*3 = 0
2. I have #3 but you didn't ask me for any money at all, so you will get #0 from me because you asked 0times.
3*0 = 0
N/B: emphasis is on the answer, that is what you get for asking from someone that has nothing and not asking from someone that has something. In both cases, you will get nothing.

This is why many people keeps complaining of mathematics.
They never border to translate the formula into their language for easy understanding.
I just hope the person asking this question is not a graduate.
In another perspective, this is more reason why I like teachers who make efforts to switch code(English and mother tongue) while teaching

There is nothing mind bobbling about the question. You guys simply don't know the difference and relationship between Addition and Multiplication.

Rule of multiplication
5×0 = 0×5= 0 - - - - - (1)

Meaning:
Group zeros into five places and add them together.

1.e (0) + (0) + (0) + (0) + (0) = 0

Multiplication means "addition in repeated groups". So if zero is involved, everything becomes zero because regardless of the number of times you group and add zero the answers become zero. Remember the rules of multiplication in equation (1).

True! were you in my soul? grin I was thinking on this issue this very week and your answer here is exactly my opinion.

3 X 0 = 3
Law (if you put 3 Somethings in Nothing, you still have 3 Somethings).

But;

0 X 3, 5, 1000 = 0
Law (if you Put Nothing in Somethings, no matter how many they are, you will still have Nothing eg Opening Several Zero Bank Accounts will still not put monies into those empty accounts. You still have Nothing (No Money)

We have negative numbers, neutral number (zero) and positive numbers.
The number zero is the opposite of both positive and negative numbers.
Zero is just like a black hole that swallows any of the numbers that comes across it i.e when you try to join any number to it.
Neutral is just neutral u can't have two or more. You can't multiply 2 by neutral and expect to get 2neutral(because we only have one God), any number u multiply by neutral (zero) the number itself end up becoming a neutral, meaning it can't escape that region aagain.The number zero is a Bokoharam, it kills.
When you add or subtract any number to the neutral, you get that number back because you can only have one neutral, u can't add anything to it or subtract anything from it, divide or multiply and expect something positive in return.
Number 0 is the origin of all numbers, any number that tries to associate itself with it will go back to its initial form(Zero) because that's their origin.

0 means nothing. Anything multiply by nothing is nothing.
Nothing multiply by anything is nothing.
Negative and positive numbers are just like souls, zero being their doom, when zero strikes them they all die.
I think I have contributed something small here, based on my reasoning though. Many people have responded brilliantly here, I think it's enough to answer your question.

what about a situation where a couple is unable to procreate because maybe the man's sperm is not fertile or the woman's womb is unable to house a baby. 2 entities are involved , yet no procuration. Are you saying they're empty because the cant procreate? Mind you the same Biblical analogy you are arguing with says Virgin Mary conceived of her son Jesus through immaculate conception. That is one entity procreating without needing to meet another entity.
