its not about believing what anyone says..I'm part of those waiting too and it has its effect, we have been giving excuses,literally making excuses for them just so we can bear the wait..you know they could release the list and still hold activities till they are ready to proceed, but still nothing..please do not expect too much from me..I'm only human..I want the best for everyone..we deserve it..2 years no be beans

My brother...it is well.

2 years of hoping and expecting no be beans. I know exactly how it feels.

Despair....anger... frustration.... expectation....dashed hopes.....

All of us feel this at some point, we just choose to hold on tight.

No one will want to go through something like this again.... It is a terrible experience.

However, we stand. We keep hope alive.

I also know that my source will have informed me to move on if there is no way forward. He is straight forward and he has no reason to be afraid of telling me the truth.

Contract Staff representatives may be deployed to wear us out with negative news so that our pressure will diminish..... If we reduce the pressure, they gain grounds.

Nice one there. To be honest there are some contract staff that are highly qualified and such deserve to be incorporated into permanent positions.

Lol, some did apply and scaled through. Others either failed the CBT or were screened out based on age, etc. However one should try to see things from their perspective..... it's painful to know that you're qualified for a position you've worked in for years only to be replaced by an outsider cos of failing a CBT (we all know that exams aren't a full proof assessment of knowledge) or some other criterion that is beyond one's control. Anyways, I know some got in through the backdoor but for the genuine qualified ones I hope they get incorporated cos it's only fair.

I hear some people talk of contract staff who have had experience in NNPC, and E.H trying to just enter into NNPC. See, some E.H are thoroughly schooled and experienced in their careers, and are working in hot-blooded organizations where performance index is high. If you go to SHELL, contract staff go through the recruitment process to become full staff.

This your comment does not make complete sense. You cannot be qualified and yet cannot scale through an interview process for the position. Pls!

Guy,pls forget about the contract staff issue or you can leave your slot for them.if they are qualified ,Am also qualified too but I don't have any strong person that will help me get contract job there .That's what Govt wants to address secret recruitment without following d due process .

I have been a contractor for one of the IOCs and they recruited for permanent roles while i was engaged by them and i wasn't successful. The process of recruitment for contract staff and permanent staff is very different. It was not my divine right to get the permanent role because i had been doing the job as a contractor, I had to go through the process. Also when the successful candidates came in i had to assist in their onboarding and getting them up to speed, no bad blood it was a competitive process and they were selected. My point is this, the knowledge i have acquired over the years is not lost and it is what has enabled me get other roles (even higher paying than the IOC contract role). I would advise any contract staff, Your destiny is not tied to NNPC or any company. With your acquired knowledge and experience please test other waters!!!! Nobody has a monopoly of opportunites, don't let anybody talk you into staying in an organization for a number of years in the hope that you would be favoured in the next recruitment whenever that is. I have also worked for one of NNPC subsidaries for two years and i don't see myself working for a singular company for 15 to 20 years. Furthermore, please let nobody make enemies for themselves, the water is large enough for everyone to drink and be satisfied. Let us focus on the much needed change and improvement we can all bring to NNPC and our nation. I believe that the EH component of this recruitment would be concluded succesfully. Lets keep the faith and continue demanding for closure.

It was also happened during the NLNG last recruitment, many contract staff reach the final stage but couldn't make the successful candidates list. I know one personally. MKK is running the corporation like his personal business that you can do anything you like.

What is really the difference between contract staff and EH?...one got their experience in NNPC, the other got theirs elsewhere. They both went through the same recruitment process...the contract staff, even have an advantage especially in the interview stage...the main issue is becos they didn't do well and they are looking for other means(sense of entitlement). They don't even give a damn abt us... they don't care abt what we also went through.

You have said it all.While some EHs are there having pity for them ,if you are having pity for them why did you apply for EH from outside in the first place ??

Contract staff should fight and win to become full staff, but they should stop attacking or speaking against the E.H. The E.H are not fighting them from getting the permanent slot, we are only doing our own...
