How can I go about the Poland stuff?
For MSC and I intend to go with my wife as dependant

Research about their Universities, pick a preferred one that offers your course, see if you meet the requirements and if possible give them a call for further enquiry/assistance. All the best

A little back story.
I am a 36 YO guy with no university certificate, was too wayward to finish school in FUTO then, left school in my 2nd year for a 4 year course.

Tried my hands on business years later and currently have 7M naira saved.
Now, I want to go for degree and eventually start a family .
I am considering seeking admission in a UK or Canadian school. Luckily, I have sponsors .

For a guy of my age , looking to study IT related course or physiotherapy and eventually seeking residency, would you recommend UK or Canada?
Please I need supported answers.

Thank you all.

If at 36 you don’t know what to do with your life and need to ask for advice on an extremist platform such as Nairaland instead of families and friends then I’m afraid the problem isn’t Nigeria but you.

Stay here and build your wealth. There’s nothing you want to go and do there.

But if your sponsor is going to pay for your A-levels till final year. Then it’s okay. You can study the IT or medicine. These programs are lucrative.

But if I was in your shoes I’d just stay back in Nigeria

If you were to go. I think Canada is friendlier than U.K.
Stay here and build your wealth. See ya big mouth.
Just one question.
Can you stroll at 11pm comfortably anywhere in Nigeria now?

I think your best option should be Norway. Free Education, atleast 80% of the citizens speak English, rich country and most especially the 7m should be more than enough to cover your stay for a year through their block account system. Also consider Germany.

@OP:

If you could save N7m via a business in Nigeria, you should be able to replicate that.

36 yrs old IMHO is too old to travel out to start a first degree and searching for a job thereafter.

If you want to go back to school, look for a Nigerian part time or online course in your field of interest so you can keep doing your business to sponsor yourself through school.

You can even reach out to Covenant University and Co if you are particular about your institution.

You can go for your masters later when you have a continuous source of income that can sponsor you.

How about a place like Estonia ( no tuition for University education)

Same for Germany ( once you have your block account sorted)

If you are not a professional, UK hard o!
Even for some professionals it's still hard.

Advice

Your age is disadvantage if you want to study in Canada even for MSC. 30 below is best for quick admission into MSC not to talk BSC.

UK is not advice able. A lot of limitations. 7m is too small even for a course not to talk of I.T or physiotherapy. You need scholarship or solid sponsorship. But your age is disadvantage. You want to go for first degree. Thats a no.

Depend on your field, you can try Canada but not on education. Get a job offer from any organization unskilled labor then you can enroll on certificate courses there that will give you a certification of a specific skill to get skilled jobs.

With time you can get a permanent residency.

Your age is not advice able for undergraduate study so you won't waste your money.

You can try other countries in Europe but get answers to your age first.

How many years did it take you to work for 7m. If you earn around 500k monthly or more, you have a family financially stable, bro its better you stay and get a family first before you consider traveling.

Traveling without first degree or a wanted skill is like slavery for anyone earning 400-500k monthly in Nigeria. It will take time for you to stabilize over there.

Well done. You are moving forward: no matter how slowly moving forward is better than staying stagnant.

Now at 38 it will be immensely difficult to get a visa officer to aprove your study permit for 1st degree. They do not really like educational gaps (Go check out the Canadian student thread on nairaland)
If you have sponsors who will not give excuses go study nursing in the UK.

Alternatively if you are not so sure of your sponsors go to Ukraine and after your 3-year nursing degree, you can apply to either UK or Canada or US.

The only snag is that for univeristies un Ukraine, your WAEC must not be less than 10 years old

I don't know about Canada but as a UK resident, I can give a bit of info. Universities here charge international students circa £13000 per academic year for majority of courses. For physiotherapy course, you're looking at £16000 per academic year in most universities offering the course. 7 million Naira will just about cover your first year tuition for an IT course minus accommodation, transport, feeding, utilities etc which can easily be north of £400/m at your best frugality. So it depends largely on the extent to which your sponsor is willing to flex his/her support muscles. Your courses of choice will normally run for 3 years. Do the maths, make an informed choice. Regarding UK residency, I guess there are different ways to skin a cat.

Which course were you studying at FUTO? Won't you like to run it again when you travel? A private uni in Nigeria will also be great, looking at your budget but travelling is a great option

Go to Poland or UK for physiotherapy. You said you can't read, maybe you should forget about Physiotherapy, because that course is just like medicine junior brother (Anatomy, biochemistry, physiology e.t.c).
7m is enough money for UK.
Btw don't forget to bring down that age.

Forget UK and pursue Canada, you can easily secure a job and process permanent residency in Canada after graduation than any other country in the world... and eventually become a citizen.

Besides Canada passport holders have Visa free access to the UK, US and the entire European union...

More than 80 percent that advise here came from people that have not traveled or live abroad. One of my friends read pharmacy in Ukraine, afterwards he couldn’t feed well there with it. There is a great mirage in what you could see here. If IT is your desired goal, go to India and study for one / two years of professional cyber security. You wouldn’t get job there but international jobs would be open and calling, while you run your business in Nig. The money you have is not big in comparison to expenses abroad. It would extremely be rough , open your eyes for marriage if you chose USA/Canada, that might be easier option, then you work for many years before school
