Also, if Lingard had flopped at Westham, even with the cheap buy out clause, Westham won't have bought him anyways. so this method of not including a buy out clause is smart move and will allow the club negotiate a favourable fee

Some of the attacking players, who feel that Mourinho’s training is too focused on defence and on not making mistakes, are unhappy with how little focus there is on coaching complex offensive patterns.

When Mourinho was asked last Wednesday what he would be doing in training to iron out the defensive errors that have undermined Tottenham’s season, he replied that he would be sending the players more clips on their phones for them to mull over, before more individual analysis meetings and then a session to prepare them.

To me a proven winner like him has nothing to prove to anyone again unless himself. His record is there for all to see but his methods are no longer sustainable in this era.

I thought the sabbatical after United job will do him some good but it doesn't seem like it did. He should seriously consider coaching National teams now since his methods are better suited for cup/tournament situations.

I don’t need to watch the next match before I know that Fred is the most deficient player in the first team when it comes to passing. No one in that team misplaces simple passes as much as Fred. Fred is always in a hurry, that’s why he always overhit 5 yard passes. He plays like his legs are quicker than his brain.

Rashford has been working on his individual game, much more than teamplay. He has been trying to make something happen out of nothing. He's scored a couple of goals as a result this season- goals that he wouldn't score on a normal day (2nd goal vs PSG, lone goal vs Wolves, and his recent goal against Newcastle to mention a few). Whilst developing this aspect of his game, I think he's focused less on teamplay and this has allowed his game in that aspect to suffer. But nevertheless, he still gets goals and assists.

Once he improves the other aspect of his game- knowing when to be selfish and when not to be, he'll be truly unstoppable.

He didn't really have a sabbatical after the United game. He was just waiting for an offer that is good and big enough.
