Good day. Please for anyone who has gotten admission into Western Illinois University, how long after sending your admission documents did you get a response?
I have sent all my documents since January and what the school said was they'll refer someone to me after my documents have been reviewed. But I am yet to get a response since.
Please I'll just like to know how long it took for anyone who got a response from WIU.

Hello! I am still waiting for mine too. People who applied during November and early December 2020 has gotten a consideration message. Ours will be in march first week there about according to the school of graduate studies. They told me so. Even my coordinator said same. You can call yours or send a mail to verify. Departments defers though.

In your departmental website, was it stated that admission comes with funding offer ?
Maybe you should email the department graduate coordinator for a possible funding consideration.

They said my file will be shared to different faculty for internal recruitment(Advisor)...they advise me to email the different faculty in my area for RA...In their website they said Assistantship will be given as part of the package by the dept for an admission or Faculty as an RA. It is clearly stated that i won't be eligible for a TA for the first semester since i did not finish any study in the US

I guess you should start emailing Professors in your department for research positions in their Lab.

I need your your advice on this.
When I was online filling the form for sevis payment. After filling the form , I was notified that I had paid on this SEVIS number back in 2019 and there is possibility that I might not need to pay again if want to pay I should continue with the payment process . Should I continue with fresh payment or the payment I made on the sevis ID in 2019 is still valid .

Sevis fee payment is valid for a year.

what course are you going for bro?
I applied for GMAT waiver and they approved it.
One of the international admission officer told me if I can wait till first week in march they may waive app fee too.
I am going for my MBA.

I have this question to ask: I paid for my visa fee some time last year and because of the pandemic, I never booked an appointment. now in my quest to book one, I noticed that the fee on the site has increased from 62400 when I paid to 67200. My question then is, is my receipt number still valid to use or must I make up the money before I proceed with picking a date?

Merely invite your counselor when filling the common app then he'll be able to upload it as a PDF or DOCX file. All you need is his email, because that's where he'll get a link to upload it, he'll fill some forms too concerning ur School, upload ur transcript, school profile and a letter of recommendation from him. You also need his phone number too.

Your academic records otherwise known as School report consists of WAEC , school transcript and GPA. They are not meant to be submitted by you but by your school counselor through common app or mail


When applying on Commonapp, there is a space for any teacher who can act as your counselor. Your counselor will need to activate his/ her Commonapp account to answer specific questions about both u and the school. Also if you decide not to use Commonapp, your counselor can send it through her own personal email address not yours.

So combine these documents you PDF and send to the counselor in charge of ur application
