Legendary?? LMFAO.... against which model of Xiaomi phones?

Oga I call this BS. So you're telling me a phone of 4 yrs ago will trash a midranger in 2020? In this day and age of smartphone photography? Baba you dey joke abeg. Abi you think say na Tecno or Shïtfinix you dey compare.

I bet you're amongst the school of thought who thinks iPhones are the best smartphone for photography when Huawei have been owning everybody for the past 3 years. Heck, even Google pixel phones will beat iPhone same year counterpart anyday anytime.

Have you heard of the Mi 10 Ultra or Mi 10T Pro?
The ultra na Beast.

iPhone only slightly does better in Videos.

One thing I love about the tech industry is the fact that the throne is rotational.

Four years ago if someone will tell Intel that they will lose their hold of the PC market to AMD they would have rolled on the floor laughing.

GCam asides, if you haven't used a flagship phone from Xiaomi you won't appreciate their giant leaps in the photography department.

As at the Mi 9, i won't really put them in this discussion. But from the Mi Note 10 Pro, Mi 10 Pro and Ultra they switched things up.

I swear... It's from that Mi 10 Pro I started respecting Xiaomi.

I always respected and loved Huawei cos of their record setting P series and Mate. Those phones shatter their top leading records every year.

But you know the Redmi Note 10 5G is just an upgraded Poco M3

The display is LCD if you aren't aware. It was the only LCD Panel in today's lineup.

Wow, LCD? That's messed up.

Same feels here bro. That's why I so much love the tech industry too.

No one is a hegemony for too long when there's a dedicated competitor with the right product mix.

Same way BlackBerry and Nokia where feeling back then. Now they've been upended. HTC sef same. Sony(mobile) sef outgunned. I remember when Sony used to boast of the best in class Camera and their under water protection rating.

The rise and fall of brands is very much littered in Tech.

Same way Samsung and iPhone were laughing when Huawei told(predicted) that it's going to be world number 1 by 2023 and become #2 by 2019. Not until Huawei achieved that feat and they started the panic button and called uncle Sam to limit that growth.

US did Huawei dirty and this their continuos assault on Chinese tech is anti-competition.

Now Samsung can have the liver to slam $256 dollar on the A32 4G with Helio G80.

Dem really pour better sand for Huawei eyes. grin
I was actually pissed of that annoying protectionism. The main underlying reason to that effect was the hatred and jealousy US had of China overthrowing their Economy in this decade. To limit that growth they had to tackle the big tech companies from China. Just when US was starting to lose its grip and dominance on World cutting edge technology. Huawei/China actually best them in the next technology race — 5G.

And Sam took it personal and decided to spoil things.

I was seeing the pricing for A32 and was fuming. This people take consumers for fools. That's why I hate monopolies and always end up supporting UNDERDOGS.

I saw the P8 in 2015 but it had nothing on the S6 and S6 Edge that year.

I remember when I bought the Samsung Galaxy S4 in 2013, choices where limited, it was either Sammy, Apple, HTC, Sony and LG then the Tecno Phantom A/A+

Samsung A12 is an aberration, for the pricing that they slapped on it, they could have done better in the specs especially the choice of processor

True...options were very limited to those companies.

S6 Edge blew everyone away that year in terms of design. That's when Samsung was still innovative and leading the way for phone tech. Now I'm just pissed everyone now following iPhone footsteps and design.

The thing I loved about Huawei that period were that design wise after Samsung and maybe Sony they were the next best thing. I always loved their design and sleekness.

All those Sony, Apple, HTC, LG weren't in my plans or dreams at all sef. Cos I didn't have the financial reach to buy any of their phones then.
Phantom series from Tecno was the next best option. And they did a whole lot of good for smartphone penetration in Africa.

Someone was fuming then why I would spend around 100k for the S4 when the Phantom A+ cost around 37k but I wasn't moved because I wasn't drawn to that company right from time and the only time I used them it was a forgettable experience. But I give it to them for giving people a doorway in Nigeria to get a feel of the Android ecosystem

Na that Processor dey annoy me most. Helio P35. I be wan slap my guy with vex today after I see the specs.
The dude isn't phone savvy that's why I just dey pity am. Although he seems not to be a demanding user, just the basics.

I was complaining about the processor to him and he wasn't getting me. He might feel I dey form cos I just got a new midranger.
I was even angry bout processors and this guy asked for another option— Gionee M12. I just dey SMH. That one processor is even worse— P22.

Yea, they did some good work for smartphone adoption.

People were baffled by my choice of shelling almost 100k for RN9S last December. Some even said why didn't I buy an iPhone. I was like I never like that company for one thing (maybe except their photo & optimization dexterity). I hate all the raves with their phones and their users superiority complex. I also don't like to follow the crowd. I love as my phone different from countless others.

Almost everyone around my area don't even know about Xiaomi or Redmi. undecided. I guess I'll be proud of being an early adopter or first mover in my zone. grin

Guys no matter the Temptation don't charge your Redmi with a Power Bank.

A friend charged his Note 9 using PB for two days since then battery no stable as before. From 100-95 can be in 20min and before e de reach 30-40min
Or from 100-90 even after leaving it to stay 100% for like 15min once he remove use for 5min e go change go 99%.

Sigh, the good 'ole days of Tecno, I got the Tecno d5, my first android smartphone.
They were like the old nokia of android those years, different types of android smartphones like the keypad android and their glorious Phantom series. But they've stopped innovating since everyone will buy their phone because it's cheap and there are no other options, so until a phone company with the mindset of xiaomi enters nigeria and give them competition at that price range, they'll continue to sell like hotcakes.
The only innovative design I've seen and like so far from transsion is the Infinix zero 8's back panel, but people with extreme Trypophobia will hate it.

To my opinion the hot 8 was just a copy of Redmi note 9s, They only rotate the back camera then copied the side mounted fingerprint scan.

What made me more pissed is they refuse to switch from that MTK as if them curse them.

But ram and Storage I respect them for that.
