If not for Boko Haram maiduguri is supposed to be one of the richest states in Nigeria.

Apart from such a large land mass, do u know maiduguri is the only state in Nigeria that shares borders with 3 African countries.

Maiduguri is the door way to central Africa east and north Africa.

And home to the largest lake in Nigeria.


The resources Maiduguri has is something alot of us pray for.

Maiduguri used to be so cool before the advent Book haram, when the 1st Shehu was still alive. I stayed shortly at Gomari Airport Junction, I remember buying my stuffs at either gomari market or bulunkutu kasuwa. Saleke, Wulahi, Post Office, Garage down to baga road are some of the cool places I normally visited, I don't know if the Zoo at post Office is still there.

After losing few kinsmen there from the crises, I swore I would never venture the North again.
