It wasn't done on state basis, they just shortlisted those that met the minimum requirements. Also suggesting that they'll conduct exams but anything can still happen.

To those sending me pm, I can't respond cos my email is having issues and even at that I can't respond for your own good.
Exactly.... to corroborate with this post, I was informed that the list was arranged according to regions rather than state as it has always been done

but I think any list that will be released this week most likely will be for exams because the date for physical screening is still far (Nov 28). Most likely maybe na for exams them dey prepare list for.
I think I concur with you. However, I heard some major amendments were made as regard the initial arrangements. But be it as it may, our fingers will still be crossed.

Bro, from what I heard from a reliable source. I think the exam is no longer taking place because of some unforseen circumstances. I heard that logistics wasn't totally taken care of. Brace up potential cadets. Shortlist is being uploaded as I type this. We may have access to it by tomorrow or next.
Meanwhile, just a word of encouragement, the Nigeria army, just like every other armed force is interested in passionate people more than "lucky people". Therefore if paraventure your name was intentionally omitted from the list, don't be discouraged, rather take the bold step of attending the screening if you can. My boss told me last night that more than 10% of the serving personnel in SSC weren't shortlisted during their times but because more than 5% of shortlisted candidates each year never showed up for screening that candidates that came uninvited are sometimes screened and in some cases they are selected. So if you don't see your name when we start checking and you have the resources to attend the screening, please do. Ones more, I wish all of success.

You shouldn't have given me that course na, its only someone that studied a course, he or she would be able to answer it very well. Everything ain't about listing 5, u can talk about one or two and butress on it properly. For example i studied psychology, let's talk about the mental health of the soldiers, the personality trait, motivation, recruiting method etc some people are joining basically to bully others and also bullied, u have to be careful in terms of recruiting criminals in the sense that such person background was bloody, such a person u need to be careful. If there is no motivation, there would be problem. Some military people are depressed due to one or two things but u will never know i can talk about it, some of the soldiers might have been molested in the past, it will definitely affect them, some people were bully right from secondary, would u give such person a uniform? Such it goes on, with all this i would have written two pages. Everything depends on what u studied in school and the relevance to the military
I must confess mate, you know your onus as long as it has to deal with your area of study. Keep it up bro

Concerning the pay,u don't really need to talk about it cause definitely na the pay dey carry u enter. Number 2-5 falls under your field tbh. When u talk about your field, automatically u telling them how u can help them to end terrorism, your passion comes in etc
For purpose of learning, assuming you studied office administration, can you give us at least 5 ways in which you can help the Nigeria army end boko Haram insurgency.

Note: everyone is allowed to contribute

Such question ain't difficult at all, what u need to do first is tell them the meaning of military itself, break it down and focus on nigeria army, tell them the sub field under the nigeria army, after that you tell them a brief about your field of study, then relate it to how it can be of an advantage to the nigeria army bla bla. With all this, u ought to have written at least 1½ pages then pray to God.
Impressive I must say....but you didn't make mention of your personal benefits for joining the army. By this I mean are you joining for the:
(1) pay
(2) compliments
(3) passion
(4) to end terrorism
(5) to explore the world etc.

I think this is the main reason why they want you to write the essay.

Gentlemen, while we await the army shortlist that is likely to be released within few days, it's important we rub minds on the very important issue, which is
Why do you want to join the Nigeria army?
No doubt this is one of the essay questions we are going to encounter in the exam and oral interview.
However, some of us here have little or no tangible reason/point why they want to join the prestigious army.
Therefore as Nairaland course mates, let's utilize this opportunity to share/enlighten us on some of the important and acceptable reasons why "you want to join the Nigeria army" and if possible develop the essay to at least a 500 words essay.
Let's make this a lesson and or fun exercise.

Hmmmmm.
I have had series of armed robbery experience, but I will talk about the last encounter.

It was back in 2016 while doing my clearance in school,i stayed in a very bad area filled with hoodlums.
On this fateful day, I was to go buy petrol with my cousin sister that just got admission in my school around 7:24pm. Incidentally, her fiancé just got her a new Gionee m5 that same week of which she cherished more than anything else. So while leaving she took her phone along and was busy chatting on WhatsApp, luckily for us I noticed her phone and instructed her to go back home and drop it else she is going no where with me. She obliged and we left.
I had 2k in my wallet of which I will buy petrol, ice cream and orange for her as she enjoys ice cream and fruits a lot. Also I had my school fees etranzact print out that I haven't changed to receipt yet(never knew I forgot it in my wallet).
After buying what we went out to buy, she insisted we walk home instead of taking a bike, on our way, very close to the lodge, lo and behold this bike stopped immediately in front of us, I already knew from experience that we are in trouble so I wanted to "fly" as I normally do if I'm alone or with a side chick. But the thought of leaving my baby cousin at the mercy of these hoodlums held me back.
They were three and the biggest of them pulled out a gun ( I was expecting a locally made gun, but behold I saw a cut-to size "pump action"wink. The guy was like " guy see am oo(holding the gun to my face)if you run,i off you". I summoned courage to ask him " bros how you wan use pump action come dey obtain phone, you suppose enter bank na" the guy vex forget "bold 5" ( our jargon for hot dirty slap back then) for my face.
They collected my wallet with my school fees etranzact and the 650 " change" left in the wallet, collected my cousin's nylon that contained her precious ice cream and orange, at this point she told them " na ice cream dey that nylon o" , and the bros replied " baggars no dey lick ice cream? Idiot". All these happened within 2 or 3 minutes.
However, base on the kin guy I be, I know the huge guy very well, he was popularly called "fada" in my hood,so I went to meet him in the morning to plead for my school fees etranzact ( of which I had to pay additional bank charges and stress that came with it to obtain a new print out) I first carry the idiot go buy drink and tendered my request...only for the idiot to tell me " guy you fall hands oo, so as big and fine as you are na only 650 naira dey your hand, you get luck say movement wey I make today pay me,if not I for dash you groundnut". So I left disappointedly.
To cut the story short, when I was doing my service a year later, my homie called to inform me that "fada" don go mud. He was killed by the police. I said na lie, only for the guy to forward me images his lifeless body at the police station. I said " that serves him right"

From a reliable source
Posted as received

This year's SSC registration turn out was very poor. Why una dey fear combat na?
As per your WhatsApp message,
Northwest has a total of 4008 candidates making it the highest in all the regions.
While Southeast has 946 registrants making it the region with the lowest registration turn out.
I think Kano has the highest number of candidates while Ebonyi no just try.
Meanwhile, hope you have applied for the leave? If not, you may have issues as shortlisting is almost complete.

If Mr A at point (10,30) moves to point (10,45) and accelerates constantly to point (20,30). Calculate the total displacement and distance covered by Mr. A in m
Options
(A)displacement=40m/s, distance=105m/s
(B)displacement=20m, distance=45m
(C)displacement=35m, distance=10m
(D)displacement=0m, distance=40m
