Been financially buoyant is not a sign to go get married, getting married goes beyond that.

No, it is not valued in Nigeria except for few that studied engineering or IT courses. Also, only few countries in the world recognize HND or even equate it to BSc. Here in Germany, it is seen as a craftsmanship or apprentice qualification and can only be used to gain admission into a Bachelors degree program. Bsc is Bsc worldwide.

Attending a Polytechnic instead of a University. After my OND, I had a fantastic job offer in a reputable company with chances of career growth. I gained admission for my HND a month later and I resigned from the job because of HND. I only realized what dichotomy meant after graduation. I had to restart my education as a 100 level student at a foreign university and will be graduating this year in my early 30s. Polytechnics/HND should be scrapped.
