You can also see how the colors vary from left to right (black white black). Third sequence: the number of circles increase down the columns. |

Jazmiynne:Wow, thank you so much for the award and kind nomination. I never knew, nairaland had a recognition platform: this has inspired me to do more. On behalf of my family, friends, business associates & fellow nairalanders, I salute you; you’re quintessential. May all the things you so truly desire come to fruition, this year. Long live Nairaland, God bless all Nairalanders, God bless Nigeria. Postulates |
I have followed this thread since the inception of its creation. DPR recruitment has several dynamics to it, from Inside Caucus, to God's Favour, to sheer providence. As expected, people are going to form different postulates based on their viewpoints. Throughout the course of this exercise, I have fallen into all categories - Applicant Portal Closed, Didn't receive email to edit profile, and other categories that have been classed on this platform; even the category of having missed my interview date after the entire exercise (my portal was closed throughout the interviewing stage, only to be opened this week, but I still had my interview). Summary of this post is that, nobody can confidently state the decision matrix during selection / screening process, not even majority of the DPR staff. So to anyone hoping, I say - remain hopeful, God will surprise you. To those speculating, I say - keep speculating. To those with confidential informants, I say- keep being misinformed. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all. Safe travels on your onward journeys. |
Donelli:Mr. Donelli , the answer to both is No. Funny enough, it was just one out of eight that had a foreign degree with three of eight having referrals. Also, during a casual conversation with them people - yeah (HR staff), we were alerted to the issue;more than 70% of OMLP intakes are with Nigerian qualification, with ~ >30% of OMLP intakes in Nigeria being Covenant University graduates. The postulate about foreign qual. dominated intake is inaccurate. |
Donelli:I applied on the same day as you and received the same acknowledgement, just like you. Received a call about a fortnight ago regarding my details; then a second call regarding an AC this week. I don’t know if there’s a selection algorithm, but we were just eight of us, there. A five minutes presentation about yourself, and why the program. Then an open-ended 15-40minutes interview with the panelists. Diversit of questions, from your resume to behavioral-esque experiences, to company information. |
0wen2017:Yes, just got out. |
Anyone invited for AC? |
isbish:Baseless. Baru wasn't the most senior at the time |
LaClicKLaBenDin:Okay, thank you for this. Any idea on the numbers? |
Can anyone from the BG confirm if they have received any feedback from the recruiters? Apparently, there is some chatter about people being called by the recruiters from their SA HQ. |
Sofosbuvir:Sorry, I am not who you speak of. |
mcpat:I believe I took out time to explain my experience of the business games and even went further to state that a successful candidate's experience in 2015 or so, was similar to mine and the other 63 people. It is certain you didn't get the point of posting a glassdoor remark; as this was to further reiterate that the business games format, is still the same. Also, as people are really reluctant to release information, you could bank on the information there, which is applicable to Nigeria's BG type. Again, if you missed my previous post, I stated that you had to alter two or three parameters to improve profitability, i-social and market share. It was only a competition between teams and not competition between team members within their respective groups. Simple strategy was to study the trend and do some price sensitivity or elasticity evaluation, drawing up correlation dynamics between different parameters and finding an equilibrium point. Strongest team members were moved around. Food was great, buffet meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner. Hotel room was comfy, the hotel bar had good beer variety. Our assessors even covered a two-hour drinking session for us, at the end. |
mickee2u:Your post really did hit me hard. I cannot offer any insight to you, really. I was invited for the on-demand video kini something, on the 19th but didn't submit till 00:04 hours on deadline day 22nd. I received an invite for the business games, 4pm, that day. With such things, maybe could be providence, but I am truly sorry they have kept you in limbo. I don't know how the algorithm works, as some people had business game invite prior to doing the virtual interview. Don't lose hope...but pursue other opportunities whilst at it. Cheers. |
Hello everyone, we need not bash people on this thread. You like anyone of them, should understand their reasons for being apprehensive. Like most of comments by the participants at the business games, the numbers from 20K to 64 to 4/5 are correct. Is the business game invite over for the GMT? Probably cannot say, I will let you come to that conclusion on your own, because their recruitment timeline had business game invite(s) as : South Africa Nigeria & Ghana East Central Africa South Africa With Final Panel Interview for Nigeria, slated for Oct 30 - 31. The other final panel interview had Sep 13 - 15, on the presentation slide - my guess is that, the other regions will be handling those dates. On the 30th of August, the "international" recruitment team, left for Ghana and stated they'll proceed to Tanzanian region, and finally to South Africa, with explicitly no comments about returning to Nigeria for the GMT, within the stipulated window. They further explained that other recruitments will open up for other Graduate Trainee roles - SMT and Technical. In the event anyone of us, in attendance aren't successful with the GMT role, we would be considered for the other country roles, when they are reviewing or recruiting candidates for the aforementioned roles. A quick search on glass door will give you insight into the business games. My experience was similar to that of a candidate, recruited in 2015. Business games situation: Two batches of 16 people - morning and afternoon sessions. Each session has four team members - President, VP Sales & Marketing, VP CSR, VP Finance & Supply. Each team has different market forecasts and tries to control the most market share. There are rules, with set penalties and points for improving profitability, I-social, and market share above a certain threshold. Each group tries to outwit each other for about 6-8 rounds. Then, you've a 3 minutes presentation on improving profitability of a company. N.B: Depending on your session, you might have to do either the business game first or the presentation; but not both at the same time. Good luck to everyone expecting feedback this week, and to the others hoping for a response, regarding the GMT, do not give up. Your story could be different. After all, Seth did say; "not everyone was invited to the business game the same way" (I don't know what he meant by that). I have tried to give a robust response all inquests. For those asking, my application to business game invite took five days, check my previous post on this thread.

Codedrock:Influential keh! What doors have Linda Ikeji's name opened for the author of this article? This list is just pure entertainment! You mention influencial women without the likes of Remi Tinubu, Stella Okoli, Josephine Anenih, Turai Yar'Adua Esther-Ogbue, Omoigui-Okaru, Maryam Kachikwu, Maryam Abacha, Bola Shagaya, Stella Oduah, Turai Yar'Adua, Nkasiobi Okoh, Sola David-Borha, Ibukun Awosika, Daisy Danjuma, Kemi Adeosun et al. , just to name a few. It's ridiculous Lara Oshiomole's name is there but not Kemi Adeosun. Please, who's Lara? Infact, what's a Lara? Smh |
GMB4REAL:Quite frankly, I have no clue, regarding the test content or format. If it's CBT, like you stated earlier, a generic practice of SHL-CEB, GMAT, et al. , should suffice. I wouldn't bother too much on the format, but rather, on your ability to quantitatively analyze pictorial information - charts/tables, word problems, %ages, etc. If I'm privy to any information, regarding this, I'll keep you informed. Thank you. |
UnimkeAk:Six weeks from when it was published in the dailies. So that's six weeks from 26 October, 2016 - implying, a 7 December, 2016, deadline. P.S: This deadline might be adjusted, but until further notice, deadline remains December 7, 2016. |

finalbosss1:Most people here aren't discerning. This is a direct like-for-like replacement of the two JSCs retiring this year. The CJN, being from Jalingo, Taraba State - retiring November 2016; and the No.4 in line of CJN succession, Suleiman Galadima, from Nassarawa State - retiring October 2016. We should calm down and do a little research, it will help in alienating the northernization conspiracy theory.
