awesomeJ: In an efficient system where production costs are kept below $12, brent at $50 wouldn't be such a big deal. Why the government feels it's okay to prouce at $45 nd sell $60 or less is what's concerning. Same country where SEPLAT report costs at around $12.
Now Tantita is all over Channels TV sending season's greetings when consumer companies like NESTLE aren't even doing as much. Can you blame them? They get over 10% of production for settlement in their funny security contract that could have been replaced with a much more cost effective one Like play, like joke, TANTITA has come to stay. Sooner than later, they may have a seat on FEC. |

rather than complain about the government, i just need to help myself by looking out for opportunities. That can only happen with open eyes rather than lamentation eyes Very well said . The truth most people lamenting do not know is that there is a little their lamentation can do to the government and most importantly, your wife and children are not interested in whether you call the nation disgraced or zoo. 18.02 to 14.45 only took 2 months.
If we interpolate, 14.45 to 9.78 should only take 2-3 months 😁
Why did you now bring yahaya below and his nemesis into inflation talks 😁 It is good to interpolate. However, it is logical to factor in other factors that may rubbish the interpolation. For example, the festivity of the December period will have a say in the inflation figure that will be expected. |

If the refinery thrives and we keep buying PMS at 700, dollars at 1400 and reserves above $50bn I'll prefer those.
Some of us are already hoping for single digits inflation prints before the next MPC meeting.
Let them come and explain why they won't cut by 700bs if we're already having single digit inflation.
The issues solved also mean the listing will be a huge success. A single digit inflation figure before the next MPR. is as impossible as expecting Yaya Bello and Natasha at a valentine dinner table together. Let us be drinking water with the little little progressive drop for. now rather than an elephantine jump. All the good things you wish for. the economy are in line with my own wish too. |

richiemcgold: I notice that a lot of people went into cassava farming this year, thinking the market price would still be as high as it was last year.
Unfortunately as of today, cassava has dropped down below 50%. The price of 1 bag of garri last year will buy almost 3 bags right now. That is the cycle cassava production follows. The price goes up, everybody jumps in, then the price crashes the following year. The crash is always so brutal that it discourages almost half of the people the following season anf then the price goes up again. Wash and rinse.Repeat again. Talking from experience |

HenryWilliams: This is asinine justification and you know it. The demand during Xmas period is always there. It's nothing new. There's no increase in jet fuel price at the moment nor any significant increase in customers. This phenomenon also applies to the road transportation. There's no petrol price increase, no scarcity.. nothing yet the prices are jacked up over 200%. This is typical example of Nigerians doing each other The Aviation industry players ran out of excuses the moment exchange rate stabilized. Now, their minions are shouting demand and supply. Truth is, Nigerians are generally exploitative. From the Danfo driver that increases fares abnormally the moment a drop of rain lands on the floor to the Barber who hikes his fare for a 5 minute GORIMAPA hair style, everybody na d same. |
