How do you know they had no intention of fulfilling? Do you know their mind? Did they know the massive corruption and the empty treasury that Jonathan left behind? What would they use to implement their promises if there’s no money?

Just listen to yourself, so because their is no material to implement their promise, must they make it more worse than the way they met it. Don't make a promise you cannot fulfill and as a matter of fact this administration is the most corrupt administration we've ever had.

Buhari was elected to correct the mistake and rewrite the wrong. But it was just the other way round. What difference is tinubu bringing to this country.
Tinubu is a king maker and I will always respect him for that but he lost it immediately he wanted to be a king.
We need a young and sharp brain to paddle the ship of this country not someone who can not hold pade talk less of moving the ship.

Travel / Safty Tips For Your Traveling by praisecity(m): 6:48am On Jun 13, 2022
The Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC) advice on security dis morning pls read this it is very important:

*SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT*

TRAVELING GUIDE
The guide is for those travelling within Nigeria now or in the future.

· *Avoid going to any of the North East or North West of Nigeria no matter how important your assignment*.
The North Central is not safe. Avoid Kaduna by all means possible. Your best choice is to travel by air to any of the core-Northern states if you insist you must travel.

· *While travelling in the SW, beware of armed kidnappers and murderers.*

· They target evening and night for their operations. They are most active on weekends especially at dawn, evenings or nights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

· *Never travel with your family. If you must travel, don’t go with your wife and children*. Family in a car is usually prime targets, knowing resistance will be minimal.

· *If you must travel, wear smart dresses with canvass*.
The opportunity may come for you to run.

· *Always keep a dummy phone at hand while your real phone should be left in silence in your car*.
Delete all bank details in your phone.

· *Arm yourself, it may be helpful*.
You can buy dagger, multiple defense tools, gas cannon, sharp-multidrive tools and pepper spray.
Never use them unless you have a unique opportunity to attack your captors. Your attack must be to either escape or to kill your captors if possible whenever you have the chance.

· *They usually divide into two camps*.
One camp stops you in the front, the second camp waits for you to reverse before attacking from the back. If you have a heavy car that can knock and kill those at the front, please do.

· *Train yourself on the use of weapons in self-defense*.
You may find yourself in a position to use AK-47 abandoned in a hurry by kidnappers or left carelessly where you are kept in the bush.

· *They usually explore bad portions of the road, drive as fast as possible through such portions*. Be swift and decisive on the road. Do not use your phone while driving. It will distract you from concentration and keen observation.

· *Fill your tank from the point of departure*. Don’t travel alone.

· *If you are ever abducted, stay calm and cooperate but be keen to maximize any opportunity*.

· *If you are sure of escaping into the bush without your car, leave the car doors open and the ignition key on*.
This will distract the kidnappers and attract passersby.

· *The troubled spots at Yoruba land are: Ogere, Gbongan Junction, Igboho-Shaki way, Ikere-Ado road, Ife-Ibadan highway, Oyo-Ogbomosho highway, Warri-Benin highway, Ikole-Omuo-Lokoja highway; Ilorin-Egbe highway; Jebba-Bode Saadu way; Ilesa-Itaore way; Ogotun-Arakeji-Ado way.

· *If you have the chance, drive close to a lorry or trailer on the highway*.

· *Put on the local radio while travelling not listening to music*.
An important information relevant to kidnappers on the highway may filter to you.
U
· *Whenever you see herd of cows, be suspicions, keep a distance and look for a safe, swift drive through.*
May God continue to protect us Amen. Pls share it to your family and friends if you find it useful .

**MAY ALMIGHTY GOD BE WITH US AND SAVE US ALL*

Put your 2.5m in the bank, fill a standby order of 100k per month and enjoy your 2.5m for 2years and 1 month without stress instead of spending the 2.5m on a corolla for uber. Before the end of the 2years you may lose the engine and/or gear of the corolla plus other repairs. So when do you want to start making profit? The 3rd year??Please think of other business or buy a cheaper car 700k to 1m. The idea is to reduce your risk.

If he is d one driving the car by himself, he will make back the money in less than a year.

Religion / Re: Stingy Men Association: What The Bible Says by praisecity(m): 9:13am On Jan 17, 2021
Akell:
When Christians are stingy they usually never realize it. You can give and still be stingy. There are some people who give, but with a grudging heart. They think “Aww, do I really have too?” There are some people who offer things, but in their mind they hope the other person says no.

We must not be lovers of self and lovers of money. We must think about others just like Christ thought about us. Give with a cheerful heart not expecting anything in return. Be generous and love others just like Christ loves you. Stinginess is not part of the Christian life.

People are worth more than material things you must never forget that. Where are you storing up your treasures? Would you rather buy stuff or help the poor? Why not readjust your giving today and be a blessing to others. It is so hard for rich people to enter into Heaven.

What does the Bible say?

1.  Proverbs 28:22-24 The stingy person hastens after riches and does not know that poverty will overtake him. The one who reproves another will in the end find more favor than the one who flatters with the tongue. The one who robs his father and mother and says, “There is no transgression,” is a companion to the one who destroys.

2.  Proverbs 23:6-8 Do not eat the food of a stingy person, do not crave his delicacies; for he is like someone calculating the cost in his mind. “Eat and drink,” he says to you, but his heart is not with you; you will vomit up the little bit you have eaten, and will have wasted your pleasant words.

Give not with a grudging heart

3. 2 Corinthians 9:7-10 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.

4. 1 Chronicles 29:9 The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the LORD. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

5. Romans 12:8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

6.  Proverbs 11:24-27 One person is generous and yet grows more wealthy, but another withholds more than he should and comes to poverty. A generous person will be enriched, and the one who provides water for others will himself be satisfied. People will curse the one who withholds grain, but they will praise the one who sells it. The one who diligently seeks good seeks favor, but the one who searches for evil—it will come to him.

7. Deuteronomy 15:8-11 Instead, be generous and lend them whatever they need. Do not be mean-spirited and refuse someone a loan because the year for canceling debts is close at hand. If you refuse to make the loan and the needy person cries out to the LORD, you will be considered guilty of sin. Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the LORD your God will bless you in everything you do. There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.

Treasures in Heaven

8. Luke 12:16-24 Then he gave an illustration: “A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops. In fact, his barns were full to overflowing—he couldn’t get everything in. He thought about his problem, and finally exclaimed, ‘I know—I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones! Then I’ll have room enough. And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “Friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Wine, women, and song for you!”’  “But God said to him, ‘Fool! Tonight you die. Then who will get it all?’ “Yes, every man is a fool who gets rich on earth but not in heaven.” Then turning to his disciples he said, “Don’t worry about whether you have enough food to eat or clothes to wear. For life consists of far more than food and clothes. Look at the ravens—they don’t plant or harvest or have barns to store away their food, and yet they get along all right—for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!”

9. 1 Timothy 6:18-19 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

10. Matthew 25:34-40 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Be generous

11. Proverbs 22:9 The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.

12. Luke 6:38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.

13. Proverbs 19:17 Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Reminders

14. Proverbs 11:26-27 The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it. Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it.

15. Galatians 6:9-10 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

16. 1 Peter 4:8-10 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Op it seems you took it wrong, to my own understanding about this stingy association, is between the gender (opposite sex) you mean I should be giving to a gal av been trying to woo for a long time and taking me for a mum.

Am married and I will and can never be stingy to my wife, but u see all those gals aluta continua.
Pls go through the ideology of the SMAN b4 quoiting any bible here.

Education / #may 8, 2009 - The Day Ado Varsity Forces Stood In One Voice by praisecity(m): 7:18am On May 10, 2019
Today - 10years ago, remains an unforgettable day in the annals of history of Campus riot and counterterrorism in Nigeria, particularly to all graduates of the then University of Ado-Ekiti, who would never forget what happened in a hurry.

This day 10yrs ago, I was preparing for my first Semester Exam 100l and surely my first paper as an undergraduate which should hold the following Monday.

The day was a Friday. As freshers, we woke up all prepared putting final touches here and there, as many can be seen in faculty offices to collect their Exam permits. Simply, we were all looking out for our first contacts with CHM 101, MAT 101 et al, only to start hearing news that some students were beaten beyond description a night before, by some militarized student corps known as Student Cadet group.

Before then, the activities of campus cadets was already going out of hand.

On one of my first days in the students hostel, I watched with dismay how some students who do dress in military-like camo green uniform will punish students for fighting and make them go through what I couldn't imagine. I asked so many questions then like, "who empowered these students to be treating fellow students like this?" But, I got few unsatisfying answers.

Before then, there had been series of students - Cadet clashes in time past and an Alhaja cadet was killed in the revolt.

History repeats itself on May 8 - but unlike what had happened in the past, it became a day when the end was put to the incessant maltreatments of Co-students by Cadet corps.

By 2pm, on my return from school Friday jumat service, reports had filled the air, that one of the students beaten in the morning had passed on. I saw some groups of students looking terrified chanting Aluta songs. Like a newbie, I moved closer to one and inquired about the latest development. "Alaye, school ti daru" - (That's what I was told) If you see any student cadet, Na suya ooo".

I ran as far as my leg could carry me to the Cadet Basement on Campus.

From afar, I could see smokes. I was expecting the worst. Students have taken charge of the campus. The Cadet base has been grounded.

Their leaders have been ran after.
Their hostels and properties were burnt.

The revolts didn't spare the Academic staffs. The V.C - Prof, Dipo Kolawole was reportedly whisked away through the campus second gate, as he narrowly escaped being lynched.

Profs were not spared, many left with cars battered, cars wind screens shattered. We heard they never took any serious action in spite of complaints in the past.

The Student Union President, who was just elected few months ago - the indefatigable Sola Fayemi Apesinola a.k.a Senator was no where to be found. We heard he was not at peace with the students action when he was informed.

But, the "outgone" SUG President, who had come for his clearance Comrade Dejavu Jogunomi Oso Adedeji did the needful by standing on a platform vomiting those big Unionist grammar. "We shall put an end to this malady today", "An Injury to one is an Injury to all", etc. Lol

And right there, students became more charged and the rest became history..

And this would follow by "Of the greatest GBA GBA, Articulate Gbogbo, of the greatest shiwon, nawon, shiwon lere".

And another person will sing songs to tell you that you are not doing wrongly by joining campus Aluta by singing that "Atigba talaye tii daye, ko s'omo struggle to soriburuku". Lol

And in about 40mins of students operation, academic activities have been halted, lecturers have been sent out of the campus. Timidity and shivering (Iberu bojo) had taken over some students, who are visibly seen scampering around.

The State government in less than an hour had announced on State radio station and Adaba F.M, that the campus have been closed down and students were given 2hrs to vacate the university premises.

Before we could say hey, Armored tanks and heavy military lorries who are still around from Ekiti Elections days, had stationed themselves around the campus particularly the main entrance with sirens and public speakers shouting that students should leave the campus immediately.

Students were seen everywhere, trekking with loads on their heads, as they trekked along long Ado-Iworoko road, with many Ladies crying profusely. Movements of vehicles and commuters towards Ado- Ifaki road had equally been restricted.

I got to Ife around 9pm that day, as I equally trekked miles to Ado town to join a vehicle going to Ilesha.

The news of what happened had reached home before me. Newspapers had been filled with University of Ado-Ekiti as headlines.

We didn't resume to the campus until months later, and we paid severely for our actions, after a panel set up to look at properties destroyed levied every student with #5000 each as reparation fee. We heard the university made lots of millions and bulk of it was embezzled by management, even when properties destroyed remain there for several months after all students have paid. Lol!

And Every other things remained history till today. Cadets activities remained checked and normalcy returned.

May 8, 2009 remained - the day of mother of all Alutas, all through my stay in Ekiti, even though lots of similar students revolts had taken place like when the then Chief of Defense Staff, Oluseyi Petinrin came for a public lecture along with Ekiti state Gov then, Engr Segun Oni, when students melted them with stones for coming to talk about Education after jacking up tuition fee to a ridiculous sum of 250k. Soldiers dealt with lots of students that day and I nearly lost my eyes to tear gas. Lol

10yrs down the lane today, I heard the school is now filled with small small pikin, who barely know their rights as students. Awon omo mummy.

History would never die!

God bless Ondo State University/University of Ado-Ekiti (UNAD - UNI HARD), now Ekiti State University - Truly Small but Mighty.
