@ Mumihaja:- I've been meaning to tell u, I humbly suggest you go for hysteroscopy, those things are retained products of conception from your last miscarriage and I believe it is 80% of the cause of your ttc. Go for hysteroscopy for them to check if anything is still remaining because as long as you have them still in your womb, your body is tricked to believe you are pregnant and therefore you will be having problems conceiving because our bodies have been tailored to carry one pregnancy at a time. I have heard and seen people who had cases like urs and they became pregnant once everything was removed, infact someone on this forum had Sth like dt which I believe someone quoted earlier.

@ Uslarnkem:- It can be due to excessive n-ipple, breast or chest wall stimulation, high prolactin, high or low thyroid hormones like TSH and TRH, some drugs can cause it as their side effects like some antihypertensives,drugs used in treating ulcer, birth control pills etc sometimes even stress, pregnancy and tumours in the brain(pituitary adenomas) etc.

I humbly suggest you look for an experienced gynae in your area.

Thanks so much for the tip about the side pain. It came today and for the first time in over a year, ovulation test came out positive, maybe cos I checked at the right time this cycle. Today is cd28 of my 33 day cycle. Is it normal to ovulate late in the cycle?

Hi Nwarosa, it is rather late to ovulate but you should baby dance to cover all bases then you wait to see if u miss ur period and then u can do a pregnancy test because some ovulation strips can also detect early pregnancy. If you aren't pregnant, then you may have luteal phase defect which is when the 2nd half of your menstrual cycle or the luteal phase (which is the days after ovulation to when the menstrual period of a new cycle begins) is shorter than 11 days. Normal luteal phase is 12-16 days and if really you ovulated on the 28th day, then you can see that your luteal phase is just 5 days.
If you aren't pregnant in this cycle, I suggest you go and see your doctor, do a day 2 or 3 FSH, LH and do a Progesterone test in the new cycle, also do a Thyroid function test, Check for Prolactin(does your breast bring out water or milk?) You can also do an ultrasound scan to rule out PCOS and HSG to rule out any deformities in the uterus. With the results of your investigation, I am sure your attending Gynaecologist or reproductive endocrinologist will know what steps to take from there. Hope your hubby has done his SFA.

I went for SFA AND CULTURE. I was adjudged OK but since then anytime I observe my wife's visitor, I get really pissed. Even it is getting to d point that I want to stop having sex with her
What shld I do?

My dear PastorAji:- You have to be very patient. If you are already reacting this way, I wonder how your wife must be feeling. This is the time to be supportive and attentive and not to be angry, Infact thank God the next time you see her monthly visitor because it means she is ovulating, some people have not seen their periods for months or for years. Always look at the cup half full.

Now, take your wife for fertility testing, Let her do hormone profile, pelvic ultrasound scan and HSG. To find out if there is any problem anywhere, if there is a problem, you and her will see the fertility doctor and decide what treatment plan is best for you as a couple.If after testing and nothing is found, then you have to be patient. In the meantime, if she is obese, she should start exercise and portion control of her diet to lose some weight, stop all sugary foods, drink a lot of water, sleep well, engage in activities that removes her mind from ttc because the psychological stress and anxiety ttc brings on its own acts as a natural contraceptive.Take prenatal vitamins and you and her should pray. At the end of the day, it is God who gives Children at His own time. If your SFA is longer than 3 months please repeat it in 2 different labs so you can do comparative analysis. Cheers

Please if my cycle is 33/34 days, when do I ovulate. These apps are giving me conflicting answers.

@ Nwarosa:- You ovulate cycle day 19/20 but add 3 days before and 3 days after and meet with your husband on those days eg bd on CD 16-CD 23 and also monitor other body signs like your temp, cervical mucus and if you are the lucky type that gets lower abdominal pain from either your right or your left side at the middle of your cycle, watch out for that too.

@icebobo: do not fret too much. 6 months is too early says d doc. But out of curiosity n pressure from home u can go for a scan, do hormonal assay n run Hvs/urine mcs. Its well dearie. Have faith

@ Mubzay:- It depends on the age of the person. Women older than 35yrs and have been ttc for 6 months should start running fertility tests to rule out early any problems that can cause infertility but younger than 35yrs should wait till 1yr of ttc before testing.
