Wife was diagnosed with pcos 3 months ago. We've been married for a year now without conception. Her menstrual cycle had been irregular and ovulation had been affected; that was the doctor's explanation for the lack of conception. Since the diagnosis, she's been using M2tone and FertilAid and Ovaboost and Folic acid and visogron and most recently Clindamycin hydrochloride. (She also took Primolut N at a point, but stopped after 10 days). Most importantly, we've been praying too. We haven't conceived yet, she's still taking the drugs. We are quite hopeful, I just felt the need to share this here in good faith, and hear your views about @ Finekunlex, is your wife overweight? If she is encourage her to cut down her calories and do some exercise so she can lose some weight, it helps with pcos. She needs proper follow up with a Gynaecologist. Ask your Gynaecologist if he could consider Clomid, metformin and timed intercourse but she must have done HSG to ascertain the patency of both Fallopian tubes. Hormone profile to be sure no hormone is below or above the expected normal value. You also should do your seminal fluid analysis and m/c/s and please do not just ingest medications just like dt. Forget the Evergreen until you have done your SFA. Some men with normal seminal fluid parameters who have taken one medication or the other to increase their spermatozoa count have ended up reducing or gotten zero count. It is a good multivitamin but you shouldn't use unless it is necessary. Cheers!!! 2 Likes |

MummyEsther: Yes, hyper sex drive/ increased libido is normal during ovulation. It is a very easy way of knowing you are ovulating and it is God's way of making sure the human race never goes extinct. 1 Like |

Dear Mamas, My heart is breaking, tears are flowing freely, this pain is too much for me to bear, any time I see my period, I feel this way. This time I feel worse because my 2nd year Wedding anniversary is next month. I feel like a failure because I haven't conceived, I have no one to talk to who really understands how I feel, even my dh doesn't understand why I should be unhappy and is ignoring me, I need to talk to someone and I know you all are the only ones who truly understand what it feels like to be in my shoes. My God, I am terribly unhappy. I was going to buy medications this evening that I want to start in this cycle and I cried all the way from my home to the pharmacy, only God knows how I managed to drive with so much tears. It is 23 active months of ttc. I am fed up! When will it end O God please help me!!!! |

@ Dadsonval:- You still need to see your doctor. TTC period is not the time to allow any infection linger. You still need a proper diagnosis and then treatment. |
Health / Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by praisefulmum: 1:25pm On May 01, 2015 |
@ Dadsonval:- How do you know you have UTI. Well, go to a good lab and submit your sample for urinalysis and urine m/c/s and take the results to a doctor for proper evaluation and treatment or better still you can go and see your doctor and make your complaints and they will carry on from there. @ Bekeee:- I suggest you go and see your doctor(obstetrician/Gynaecologist)and do a blood pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy especially if you met with your partner in the last 6weeks, you may be pregnant and your progesterone may be low or you may be bleeding because of stress or a low lying placenta. If you are not pregnant, there are other ways to find out what nay be causing this abnormal uterine bleeding, he will take a proper history and exam and he/she will know what to do. Cheers!!! 1 Like |

chiclasweet: @ Chiclasweet, I am sorry for the loss of your baby, like the doctor has rightly advised, give your body 2 weeks to do it on its own, if it doesn't, then see your doctor. It is preferable if your body is able to extract it on its own, most times our bodies have a way of expelling it but not to worry if you don't expel it, just see your doctor and you will be well taken care of. |

[quote author=MelsMum post=30101231]hello sisters, for couple of days now, my veejayjay has been itching with some kind of thick pap-like creamy discharge with no foul smell, no smell at all. Anyone knows what veejayjay is trying to say @ MeldMum, your veejay jay may be trying to tell you that you may have Vagina candidiasis or thrush infection which can easily be treated, what time of your cycle is this, well Long and short, you need a medical practitioner to examine you to rule out any infection, ttc is not the time to look at any infection and allow it linger, you will be examined, they will take a high vaginal swab for m/c/s and you will get results and be prescribed with appropriate medications dear. Just go and see your gynae |
Health / Re: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by praisefulmum: 2:45am On Jan 26, 2015 |
tsquaure: @ Tsquaure, your husband should examine you, you may be having an infection. You can prevent UTIs by drinking at least 3L of water everyday and urinating immediately after bd but since you are ttc, you should try an empty your bladder during ttc period so you don't have to get up so quickly afterwards, but after ttc period, you empty your bladder immediately after bd. |

@ Gen Buhari:- Happy Birthday to your newest daughter. Your post on HIV is extremely misleading and terribly wrong. People die from HIV/AIDS everyday with medical proofs. You only need to go to the wards of hospitals where HIV patients and AIDS patients are to know it is real. It is not a disease to joke about and anyone who is diagnosed with it need not be afraid, they just have to get proper Counselling and take their medications everyday and come for their regular checkup, most patients die because they do not take proper care of themselves and they neglect their medications or pretend it doesn't exist. Not everything you read or hear on the internet is always true. I have seen these patients, have heard their stories, I have been part of their management team so please let no one be deceived that HIV doesn't exist. It does!!!! 1 Like |
