Guys, a Mercedes Benz c300 fan is not turning. I was playing with the fuse box because the pop up screen was not displaying. Then suddenly the fan just came on, without the ignition in it. After a while it stopped. But once I start the car, the fan doesn't start. Did I mess with the fan fuse? Who can help me highlight the fan .fuse or maybe bypass the fuse then I can change on Monday

Fans are not meant to come on when you start the car. They come on when the temperature reaches 87 degree Celsius. Depending on your thermostat rating. Hence you need to observe if it comes on after the coolant temperature reaches the mark 80/87 degrees..... Even then it is supposed to run for a few minutes and go off

It's a serious issue and a lot of the important components are located in treacherous places.

Honda civic is worse almost all the important components are located in treacherous places that can be affected in potholes.... Hence traveling with a Civic is a dangerous game.... Corolla brakes are also nothing to write home about....

I believe civil should be cheaper because Toyota corrola 2003-2007 en.gine is about 320k. Gear box 180k etc.

Honda civil engine is about 150k, gear box 120k

Other parts could follow suit

Honda have more sensors and electrical failures than corolla, but if you have a scanner and you understand how to use it, then you are good to go with less wasteful trial and error from mechanic

Transmission of corolla is more rugged and less sensitive, if you use any how gear oil on civic it can parkup.

I purchased my first Honda after doing much research on the fuel economy of cars. I bought it new with six miles on it and have had problems with it drifting to the right. I have had it in four times already. First time they did a front end alignment which had failed. It still pulled to the right. Returned that day and they switched tires from rear to front and said it was a radial pull and they put all new tires on it. It continues to drift and now they are telling me it is the road and all Hondas drift to the right. It never pulls left. They also scratched my paint up on the visit with their complimentary wash. Very unhappy!!!

This is my first and last Honda I will ever buy, I have had nothing but problems with the car from day one. Headlights fell out, interior is falling apart, windows have broke, power window motors went out, transmission is going out, had the cheapest tires money could buy on the car when purchased. Heater vent went bad, radio controls are barely working, the car is horrible, bought it for its good mileage and reliability. Haven't encountered either one.

A corolla and a civic of same year has no comparison basis .... The Corolla is light years ahead in terms of durability and reliability

I do rev close to 4k rpm on take offs and close to 6k rpm when I’m on race mode.

Engine and gear in top notch and very well maintained, AC not working, 16" alloy wheels, fabric interior, 3rd row seating, vehicle still in use.
Things to note
1.crack on windshield towards d wiper, nor very noticeable
2.fuel guage not functioning
3.cracked ac panel as shown in pix below

Please note, vehicle is still very much in use, its nigerian used so expect some repairs.
Suspension is in great shape
While vehicle is still up for sale i am also working on replacing the cracked ac panel and full oven bake.

It is not a strong car. You'll sweat like a donkey at the mechanic's place endlessly.... To locate a part you dismantle so many parts to get to the location..... With more possibilities of error given the kind of technicians we have.

In addition Cracked engine block is common among 2006 Honda Civics, the crack tends to develop right above the coolant channels, and commonly occurs once the vehicle reaches around 150,000 kms on its odometer. A cracked engine is virtually impossible to repair, and any such occurrence will likely require a replacement engine.
