Tinubu is the president now and we hope and pray that things will turn out well under him but stop raining curses on yourself all because of online argument with ibos. Namaster: May lightning strike your RAPEY heads! What a bunch of rapists and pedophiles!
A 32-year old man a 13-year old girl to his room and proceeded to FORCEFULLY and roughly have sex with a little kid.
Adults who get raped become TRAUMATIZED and often develop PTSD that is impossible to overcome. Especially since mental healthcare in Nigeria does not go beyond "deal with it".
But in this case, it was a KID that was raped. She has live the rest of her life with that psychological TRAUMA. Plus, the stigma for rape victims in Nigeria is only slightly less pervasive than sympathy for rapist. Both are WORRYINGLY high.
Then there is the issue of STDs/STIs that the criminal might have inflicted on a little kid.
But that's NOT even the worst of it. No, siree!
The WORST of it is that the CHILD RAPIDT bribed TWO police officers to testify for him. He wanted to use his SE money to get away with raping a child.
Also, he showed ZERO remorse. Then he blamed the INNOCENT Devil. Claiming that the devil made him rape a child.
Rape has been treated with a kid's glove for FAR too long. It's why rape is for rampant. Nothing to deter rapists like the ones I quoted. They expect to traumatize a person FOR LIFE and be out of jail in a breeze.
Again, lightning strike ALL of you!
God bless JUSTICE RAHMAN OSHODI! We need more no-nonsense Judges like him in Nigeria to stem the tide of marauding pedophiles and rapists. Don't mind them. What the stupid rapist took away from that child is her life. |

This will embolden the fulanis who already are on a backfoot after Buhari's exit. The fulanis right now are at their weakest in centuries. This is the time to go tough on them if they step out of line. If you called a meeting, you read them the riot act not sign treaties. |

Na only Una dey pay for custom duties? What your brother wanted to sell for me N78k is sold in Lagos N55k. Una to greedy for that side
Quick money syndrome, Una too like am. The keke from Nsukka to Obolor Afor, I took just around Feb, ran out of fuel. He needed to buy just a litre along the road before he got to another filling station, which is less than 2 klm.
The road sellers black market were not ready to sell below N1500. For a liter of fuel. Una to like exploitation for that side People from that region are like that. I won't be surprised if everyone here justifying that nonsense is from that place. |

nairalanda1: Things cost money.
I understand what profiteering means. Happens in war zones and in places where strict price controls means there is a black market for everything
Doesn't happen in Nigeria
So, relax and understand that things cost money. You just read it up. Thank you for that at least. But profiteering happens everywhere it's allowed, not necessarily war zones. You don't know the meaning of profiteering. Let's leave that aside for now. Things cost money like you keep repeating but then when you do profit gouging all because things cost money, that's ripping hapless people off and it's all shades of wrong. That's too common in poverty stricken places such as Africa. We are just too uncaring. Why do you think Africa is the way it is? It's not just the stupid leaders, it's you and me as well. My landlady who had a shop in front of the house sold me a congo of rice. It was #500 at the time. I went inside the house to get money for her. I came out in less than 5 minutes. She told me the price was no longer #500 but #600 because someone just told her price of rice had gone up. That's what the op is telling you people. There's something about Nigerians and morality I don't get. And when you complain they'll tell you to also go and open a shop and start selling stuff too. That's always their last resort like you and another person told the OP. |

Think man, think, and stop shouting evil up and down. APC economy is making many people , businesses included, see shege.
Ever heard of competition? Some people bring down their prices to beat their competitiors in the game. Eventually prices all come down (it's a rule of free market economics). Well done. I'm not sure you've heard of something called profiteering. |

nairalanda1: Seriously, why do you people have to be so abusive?
If I called you wicked human, you won't like it.
It's called 'competition'...plus, if there is an ongoing trade fair programme, goods there are very likely to be cheaper...because they are likely direct from manufacturer.
The chaps that sell outside trade fair, they buy from wholesalers. Prices go up
Again, they are also suffering the same hardship. They have to make money to eat, to pay taxes, market dues, etc. etc. And they still have to buy new stock whose prices go up....
Unless you want price control (last time we tried it, we ended up with scarcity and queues). Keep supporting evil. What about the derica of rice he bought at Oshodi for #900 that the neighborhood retailers are still selling for #1300? Look at the gap. |

gidgiddy: Whenever there is talk about us going our seperate ways, some people will be talking about Zik and secession clause as if Zik owns Nigeria. Zik that has been dead some 40 years! We didn't have unity clause before Nigeria was created, but someone is looking for secession clause before dissolving Nigeria? Laughable If there was secession clause you easily go your separate ways like Czech and Slovakia. Without the secession clause you end up losing millions of people like you did between 67 and 70. Now that's laughable. |

DMerciful: Lets assume there is secession clause in that constitution, was the constitution in use as at 1967? If rightly no, how would have secession clause be applied?
If you say Zik bullied Awolowo and Amadu Bello, does that not make them weak?
Today, since Zik is dead, whats stopping us from going our separate ways? The British? Zik didn't bully anyone. He connived with the British in the sneaky conniving manner well known with his people. The same way he connived with Bello against Awolowo. We all know the scores by the end of the civil war. Zik scored a home goal. |

seanfer: Why did Azikiwe reject the inclusion of the cause? He wanted to rule one Nigeria. It was a mistake. Honestly I have no business sharing the same country with hausas and Ibos and the rest. Awolowo shouldn't have kept quiet. He should have taken his case to the British Parliament. He should have organized protests here like Kamuzu Banda did in Nyasaland now known as Malawi. Banda made sure his small country wasn't lumped in with Rhodesia. And he got what he wanted. Same way Pakistan refused to go with India. Even the north wasn't keen on one Nigeria then. Only Azikiwe wanted one Nigeria out of greed. And through his British friends he got what he wanted. Awolowo was too quiet. Now both Ibos and Yorubas are held back by the seriously educationally crippled north. Lobatan. |
