toyinaremu:
Jide, when will you stop all these attitude of yours ehn, Felix talk to him now? Abi are you not a pastor in the making, how can your friend have side chick and he would not listen to correction? Let’s collectively help him and deliver him from this spirit of promiscuity.

Jide, pity your wife and children for God’ sake, these girls has nothing to offer you than to milk you dry, believe me!

For where, Tope forget that, this my babe is a correct side chick, she does not give me problems at all, she is just like a wife.

You just said it all said Jide, she is like a wife and not a wife. Why not stick to your wife? It is not an offence to be faithful. Sincerely you both are boring, try to have one and you will find it interesting I can assure you.

Well, you are right, I also have side chick to be truthful. What! Felix you of all people, now I know there is no true Christian anywhere, now you are happy Jide, right? You have a partner, please you both should excuse me.

*****
Yes he has a side chick, have you read?

‘And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his sides and closed up the flesh in its place; and the LORD God built that which he had taken from the side of the man into a woman and brought her unto the man.’ (Gen 2:21:22)

She is therefore my "side chick" because she has been taken from my side to become the flesh of my flesh and the bone of my bone. I therefore do not need any side distraction that would inflict injury on my side.

But the temptation is high Felix, the way they dress, talk and relate is too tempting, I am a complete man, you know. Temptation is not a sin Jide, but falling into it is worse, you have the capacity to control it but you have not allow that part of you to function.

No thanks to the media and the society who believe it's a normal thing to indulge in premarital/extramarital sex. Can 'rubber' save its aftermath?

How correct can a side chick be? No matter the adjective used, she remains a cheater!

Side chick are women who have no standards and who suffer from serious self-esteem issue, making themselves willing to cheat, destroy homes, sponsored by the devil and available to be cheated on and vice versa.

Infidelity brings disagreement, suspicion, distrust and ultimately kills love which is the foundation of any union and then brings a wide gap between one and God Jide. It opens your home up for the devil to penetrate and remember this does not exclude your children.

You can control your erection so it that it won’t destroy your destiny!

A word is enough for the wise!

shadeyinka:

The poster above has said it all.

I am sure you asked the question in view of the manifestations of the gifts or operations of the Holy Spirit in a person.

1. Whoever does not have the Holy Spirit is NOT bornagain!
2. The Holy Spirit is the one who baptizes one into Christ i.e. He forges a union between our spirit and Gods spirit so that we can become sons of God
3. We are however commanded to be FILLED (Drunk) with the Holy Spirit. The evidences could be anything from Faith, Boldness, Tongues, Prophecies etc.

4. A lot of people mix up being Filled with the Holy Spirit with Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

5. One can be Baptized by the Holy Spirit once in a lifetime however being Filled is a continuous day by day requirement.

6. However, sometimes at the point of being Bornagain, it could be accompanied with signs of God's gifts.

If you have further questions let me know: if you need scriptures, I can provide. This was typed on my phone.

Religion / Re: Pastor Kumuyi: Women Who Wear Men’s Clothes Are An Abomination Unto God by Preetti(f): 5:11pm On Apr 01, 2019
WHAT DOES DEUT 22:5 SAY?
Observe that in distinguishing between the outfits of men and women, the text (Deut 22:5) didn’t state exactly what kind of outfit belongs to the man and what kind of outfit belongs to the woman. It simply says the woman shouldn’t wear what pertains to the man and vice-versa.
How then do we determine what outfit(s) belong to which? Note that in talking about the variation in outfits, it didn’t mention the word ‘ trousers’ neither did it state that trousers are the exclusive preserve of men while women are bound to wear skirt always. It’s therefore mischievous to use this text as a basis for barring women from wearing trousers. Apart from this
seemingly controversial text, you’ll never find a portion in the bible that categorically states what kind of outfit is meant for the different sexes.
Since we can’t situate such distinction in outfits biblically, how then do we judge the matter?
IT’S CULTURALLY DETERMINED
In order to do justice to the matter, we’ll have to be able to make distinctions between what is culturally obtained and what is spiritually obtained . For instance, as touching women trousers by women, it’s primarily determined by what is considered moral and accepted by the culture/custom prevalent in a place.
What the different sexes wore was dictated by their cultures and what seemed appropriate to those cultures. For instance, it will interest you to know that during the bible days, in the Jewish culture, men wore skirts. See texts like DEUT22:30, 27:20, 1SAM24:4, HAG2:12, ZECH8:23 for confirmation.
Now, it’s absurd to see men wear skirts in the present times. However, in those days, men did. Also, during that period in history, men wore garments (what ladies refer to as GOWN nowadays). In our contemporary world, we observe that there is a variation in how the different genders dress depending on the society.
For instance, in the Western world, men and women wear trousers alike. What distinguishes the male trouser from that of the female is the style/manner in which they are sewn. As for the African culture, gone are the days when people tend to look down on women who wear trousers. In recent times, the practise has come to be generally acceptable .
[b]THE REAL ISSUE
The real issue is not the appropriateness of trousers for women. Rather, it’s the appropriateness of their
manner of appearance, be it in skirts or trousers. It’s about decency in the choice of outfit. To say that skirts are the only decent wear for a woman is purely
self-deceit .
Perhaps those who say trousers are not decent wears for women haven’t stepped out of the compounds in which they are born, all their lives. Otherwise, they will acknowledge that many skirts worn by women are far from being desirable. I speak of the kind of skirts that are really tight fitting and reveals the contour of the woman waist downwards…the type that is hyper-mini and slits in such a way that it exposes sensitive parts of the body.
WHAT THEN?
1Ti 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel…
1Pe 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
1Pe 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
MODESTY IS THE KEY
Note that there is no mention of what kind of outfit meant for a woman in the passages. Also, observe that the key here is MODESTY (dress properly). What’s more, what they (women) should adorn themselves with is good works and not outward items. Attention is to be paid to the inward man and not the outward but not to the neglect of the outward appearance. While you go about looking good (whether in trousers or skirts), be particular about your true inner self . Your outward appearance should bother on modesty/decency and also be subservient to the adorning of the spirit man

Religion / Re: Who Is Esther ? by Preetti(f): 12:33pm On Apr 01, 2019
Benevee:
*WHO IS ESTHER?*
It happened in the land of Shushan during the days of King Ahasuerus that in the third year of his reign, he decided to hold a feast for all his officials and servants to show the riches of his glorious kingdom and the splendor of his excellent majesty. He had a wife named *Queen Vashti* who also made a feast for the women in her royal place.

On a certain day, the heart of the king was merry with wine and he commanded his chamberlains to bring *Queen Vashti* with her royal crown in other to show her beauty to the people because she was beautiful to behold. But she refused to show up.

*Queen Vashti* lacked honour for her husband
*Queen Vashti* was beautiful but proud
*Queen Vashti* lost her opportunity
*Queen Vashti* had the inability to apologize for her wrong
*Queen Vashti* was used as an example to other women to teach them how to honour their husbands be it great or small..

Now, Esther in the picture.

A young beautiful orphan whose name was *Hadassah* *(Esther)* who was raised by Mordecai and was among the beautiful virgins that was sought for the King.
*Esther* possessed the following qualities which I will recommend for any ideal woman. They are as follows;

1). *Not loquacious*: Despite the favour *Esther* found before Hegai, the keeper of the women, she did no reveal anything to her people or kindred. Now, in our time, women no longer control their speech, especially in the area of marriage, finance and other area. For any woman to be successful, she must learn to *"work hard in silence and let success make the noise"*

2). *Contentment*: Every woman in the palace had twelve(12) months for preparation-six months of oil and myrrh and six months with perfumes for beautification. Each woman went to the king and was given whatever she desired but when it was Esther's turn, she requested nothing. She just wanted to appear natural and making extra effort by adorning herself more than necessary to please the King.

In our present day, many women would wish to apply all the make ups and paintings on their faces to attract men only to discover that not all men are actually after physique but *character*

3). *Obedience*: Even when Esther found grace and favour before the King and was set with the royal crown and made a Queen, she still did not reveal it to her kindred as commanded by Mordecai. And even when the two eunuchs of the King, *Bigthan* and *Teresh* sought to lay hands on the King, it got to the ears of Mordecai who in turn told Esther and she obeyed and told the King who later gave a command that they should be hanged.

"As the saying goes," To obey is better than to sacrifice". Many sisters lack this virtue of obedience and would rather prefer to make decisions on their own which most times results in regrets..

4). *Considerate*: *Queen Esther* did not disregard the fact that she had a country, neither did she neglect this because she had been made a Queen but she considered her people (the Jews) when Haaman conspired to destroy them. *Queen Esther* placed her people first before pleasure for Haaman to be put to shame.

5). *Understanding of purpose*: According to the knowledge of the King's provinces that no man or woman goes into the inner court to the King who has not been called, but *Queen Esther* understood her purpose in the palace and used that medium to exercise her power in delivering her people from the hands of Haaman. She was indeed a *sacrificial woman*.

How many of us still consider where where we came from when we get married to a prominent man in the country?

Do we go with him for the purpose of enjoying material things or making impacts that would benefit the upcoming generation?

Do we stand to fight for justice and not compromise standards because of money?

6). *Prayerfulness*: This is the virtue most of us know about *Queen Esther*. ." ........and if I perish, I perish!". Yes, *Esther* interceded for her nation for three days and nights so that she could go in before the King and find favour before him concerning Haaman's conspiracy against the Jews.

i) Prayer makes you find favour before God and man
ii) Prayer settle matters in the spiritual realm before they manifest in the physical.
iii) Prayer disannul laws and orders of the land.

7). *Humility in speech*: "If it pleases the King, let the King and Haaman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for Him". *Esther* would have just told the King immediately what her request was since the golden sceptre had been stretched unto her which qualified her to make her petitions before the King.

cool. *Patience*: *Queen Esther* did not misuse her power. Even when the King and Haaman to the banquet of wine, that the King asked again what her petition was. But she said to the King, " and if it pleases the King to grant my petition and fulfill my request, then let the King and Haaman come to the banquet which I will prepare for them Tomorrow ". *Queen Esther* took her time to prepare a nice banquet and an avenue to make her petition.

9) *Confidence*: *Queen Esther* was confident to her case to the King. She knew that was the right time to tell of the evil Haaman had planned to do to her people. At that point, the King was wrath with Haaman's plan.
Remember, the King initially could not sleep because of *Esther*. He wanted to grant her request for she had found favour in his sight.

Note:
i). She was obedient to the call
ii). She had a natural beauty that she was comfortable with.
iii). She was considerate about her people.
iv). She was bold to blot out the conspiracy of Haaman against her people before the King in an humbly manner
v). She was a great intercessor and committed one to; praying for the nation
vi). *Mordecai* was elevated because of *Esther*

Be like *Esther* and save the nation.
