Get yourself a colour chart from Dulux or the other paint people. you will see so much choices that after a while self, you fit confuse . At least thats what I did.

There is also a Dulux app, so I uploaded the picture of my house and then did a virtual paint, so I got a feel for what it looked like. When that one no do me, I browsed online for inspiration, when I found what I liked, I told my paint people to gimme that paint, and told my painter to nack it on the house

Regular cement plastering is quite different from cement screeding.
Screeding of either cement or gypsum based is done over cement plaster.
It's a relatively less thick coat used to correct errors on cement plaster to give a very smooth and level surface that ordinary cement plasters can't give.
Cement screeding is stronger no doubt. It's also smoother given the presence of free lime in it.
Water won't also be able to affect it, unlike pop screeding that would swell and peel off when in contact with water. So cement screeding can be used both inside and outside.
Gypsum screeding has some fire retardant advantage at a relatively low temperature, under 250 degree C. Theoretically it supplies oxygen for more combustion at very high temperature above 900 degrees if the fire hasn't been put out. But gypsum screeding has limestone powder as filler and that also releases carbon dioxide at the temperature gypsum releases oxygen.
Back to reality, cement screeding sets slowly. That's the major reason I think it's not widely used by contractors. They need a fast setting plaster to screed and leave the site on time for other jobs.
Paint would also stick well, especially satin on cement screeding and it won't peel off easily.

Yep. It's extremely DIY and you can even knock it out professionally with what Samsung calls SmartApps from the built in Marketplace. As a quick example I use Amazon Echo to interface voice control. I'm not digging out my cellphone to make commands and simply just use voice to tell echo to turn on/off lights (those not on motion sensors), turn on music, etc

It's the same principle between an existing build and a new build with a few differences. For example, I was not going to wire any switches to my wall but the Wife won't have none of that. Having wired switches is no longer necessary so you can save that money on wires and outlets. The bulbs themselves are iOT so you can address them directly. The wall sockets are iOT so they can turn on or off any appliances connected to them so you don't need a switch.

The door and window sensors are battery operated (3 year life) as is the motion sensor, so you totally eliminate all those traditional wirings.

So as you can see we're already saving wirings and sockets if one dares to go that route.

One of the reason that I'm going 120v versus 240v is that there's a larger market of 120v accessories versus 240v to me.

Let me know if you have additional specific questions.

Note: A big issue, because it is the internet of things, these requires full time internet connection. If you don't have full time internet then some things will not work but controls for some stuff will still continue to work. For example, you can still turn lights on and off but of course if theres a fire it won't alert you via cellular.

I am hoping that Nigeria will be well advance in the next few years as far as unlimited data is concerned.

Firstly, please kindly ask the Project Engineer for the type of wood. There are many types of wood and I learnt a lot from the different threads on roofing when I was about to roof my structure too,also a 4 bedroom.
Secondly,for my project, the ffg were the price/cost as at March 2016:

I can't get the name of the wood used in my book now, but among the very good ones. My supplier is based in Lagos and she supplied all the woods to my site outside Lag. Prices have gone up, but this should give you an idea.

Thirdly, be very careful as to the roofing sheets and ceiling. The cost of transportation is on the high side, I stand to be corrected.

Lastly, go thru different threads on similar Projects and ask the OP questions.
