what u did not add is that the poorest of the poor live in the inner cities (urban areas) while the richest of the rich live in the sub-urban areas. dont know much about the ''rural'' america. i guess u mean the ''small town'' america that palin calls the real america?

anyway, somehow i agree with u, so far the healthcare debate has been a waste of time and money. as far as i'm concerned, having healthcare coverage for all its citizens in the richest nation on earth should never be a debate. that it is being debated is unbelievable. that people are against it is unimaginable. and that democrats are more interested in bipartisanship rather than what they believe is pathetic & shameful.

I happen to know of TWO particular adults who struggled as children and even to date with acceptance from both sides.
The one was NEVER really accepted by those on the black side of his family, the other was never really accepted by the white side. It was hard on them considering these two (who happen to be from different families and areas) still struggle with the rejection they had to deal with.

i know of thousands of nigerians, born in america, who have been discriminated against in america. the african americans dont accept them, the nigerians in nigeria dont accept them, even nigerians in america who were born in nigeria feel different from them,

it is unfair to deny someone a beauty crown (which no evidence shows she was supposed to win and which is not a tax payer funded event) for her political view,

this is not just about marriage. this is a public official refusing to do his duty b/c of some racial bias. what if a police officer refuses to respond to a 9-II call b/c of an accent, and says he is not under an obligation to answer to every call from every race. if he says that is what he believes and refers the caller to another police officer.

in 2009, a public official paid by the tax payer denies public services to a couple b/c they are of different races. and someone thinks it is all right. i dont even know why i am debating this issue.

so a US marine can refuse a call up b/c the president in black. after all he is under no obligation to serve a black commander-in-chief. the president can call up another marine.

I'm the only one on the forum so far who has made such an analogy. I can see that you are not only misinformed but you are a coward.

You obviously have no clue what US laws are regarding issues like this,. It would have been wise to keep quiet rather than reveal your ignorance. If this was a matter of law, can you please tell us what law the guy has broken? Why isn't he being sued? Use your head for once and stop depending on junk news websites that support your misinformed and biased notions.

If you have the ability to use your head, you will know that a religious organization can lose its tax-free status if discrimination can be proven, in this case racial discrimination or as in the hypothetical case I mentioned, sexual orientation discrimination.

And another thing for you to think of. Would the JP be right to refuse to preside over any marriage on the basis of religious conviction even though the law permits such relationships? Is religious freedom limited only to religious organizations or valid for personal cases too? Let's see how well you think here.

then the JP would be wise to state that for religious reasons he wont do it. and a church that is worth its salt will be ready to loose the tax-free status to defend its principles.
