The Military authority today(Tuesday) released to the Senator Representing Delta Central Senatorial district, Senator Ede Dafinone, Pa Dennis Okugbaye, one of those detained leaders over the killing in Okuama at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.

Pa Dennis Okugbaye, who was reported to have died in military detention, was released on bail following the intervention of Senator Dafinone, and he is expected to produce him on demand.

Recall that Senator Dafinone also used his office to release the Ewu king when he was arrested on the same issue.

The sick Pa Okugbaye is currently admitted to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, and his family members are around to take care of him.

I applaud this, but let me just say: Obi has always and will always have his habit of donating to schools and hospitals. He was doing it before and after he became governor, hence the flood of humanitarian pictures during the Presidential campaign.

Another thing is that he’s donating his hard earned money. Money that he worked for. That’s why you hardly see him doling out billions. We can’t say same for Seyi who’s either donating money he’s getting as a board member in his fathers company, or just donating loot.

Two very different class of men.

The Young Parliamentarians Forum received a major boost on Friday as President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, donated an e-library and co-working space to the group.

The Forum, led by Hon. Lamiju Akala, is recognised by the United Nations, and made up of young members under 40-years-old, who meet to develop ideas and interface with young people interested in the day-to-day activities of the National Assembly.

The donation is Tinubu’s fulfillment of his promise to his friends, The Young Parliamentarians Forum, to support their aspirations and lofty ideas as budding lawmakers.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, who commissioned a state-of-the-art facility, a storey building on Mississippi Street, Abuja, which houses The Congrès, said,

“This innovative space aims to provide an enabling environment where young people can strategise, discuss national progress, and contribute to youth-oriented legislation.”

Echoing similar sentiments, the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, also lauded the initiative.

According to him, this development is expected to have a positive impact on youth engagement and representation in Nigeria’s parliament.

Gbajabiamila said, “I wish this happened during my time as it is a good environment for young legislators to meet and deliberate on issues bothering nation building.

“I commend Mr. Seyi Tinubu for initiating this laudable project as it will further enhance the legislative process for young parliamentarians. The building houses an e-library, a physical library and co-working space for all young parliamentarians.”

Also at the commissioning was the duo of Mr. Tope Adekoya CEO 7-Fifteen Capital Ltd and Co-Chair, The 7-Fifteen Foundation, and Mrs. Adesuwa Belo-Osagie, Co-CEO 7-Fifteen Capital Ltd and Co-Founder The 7-Fifteen Foundation, who developed the Congress building for young parliamentarians, amongst a host of others.

Tinubu has destroyed Nigeria

The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, paid a courtesy visit on Wednesday to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, at his office in Abuja.

The visit was announced in a statement posted on Instagram the same day. Joining the NURTW President were senior union officials, including the National Secretary, Kayode Agbeyangi, and Sulaimon Ojora (Kudeleti), who serves as the State Treasurer of the Lagos State NURTW Council and the Chief of Staff to the National President.

In the statement, MC Oluomo wrote: “Today, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, marked a significant occasion as Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola, at his office in Abuja.

“Accompanying the NURTW President on this esteemed visit were key union officials, including Comrade Kayode Agbeyangi, National Secretary of the union, and Comrade Sulaimon Ojora (Kudeleti), State Treasurer of NURTW Lagos State Council, who also serves as the Chief of Staff to the NURTW National President.

“This high-profile meeting underscores the NURTW’s commitment to fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in the government, as they work together to advance the interests of road transport workers and promote the growth of the transportation sector in Nigeria.”

Gbenga Komolafe is not NUPRC so stop this disingenuous bigotry. NUPRC blocked the deal because of objection raised by NNPC. Gbenga Komolafe is an employee of the Buhari administration. It was the decision of the Buhari government to block the deal through NUPRC which is the regulatory agency for the upstream sector.
