What took you to Columbus Ohio.

That's where I live now. My immigration processing came through last year. Moved out here with my Kids . That's where my Folks live. When my Oga comes over too, if he decides here is too quiet for him, then we can relocate to another state. But for me, I like a quiet life.

Another thing is the weather here in Columbus. Unlike some states, winter time, highest snow fall we have had is 8 inches . Unlike some that experience foots of snow covering houses. No way. I am not down with that.

Thats an automatic red flag. better wait for them to come back from their Holiday, before you apply. but then again, anything can happen. depends on how well you answer your questions. With God all things are possible.

Hello Good day to everyone on this thread...

As you all know am still on our visa case ...

We had my F4 Interview and the consular officer said we are all good but we need submit a signed I-864A form along with our passport...

So today my MuM who is the principal applicant , Her visa status changed from Administrative Processing to Issued..

But me and My Brother who is the derivative Applicant visa status changed from Ready to Administrative Processing yesterday and the date was updated today...

My question is why are they delaying our Visa issuance?? Since we are one Family are we not meant to see Issued together?? Please I will appreciate your advice!

Just Chill. Sometimes family stuff don't always come together. Some visas might get printed before others, but it will eventually be printed. Unless any unforeseen circumstance, which in ur case I don't think it will be so. As long as theres no fault and you didn't do anything in the past that could jeopardize your immigration process, it will be printed.

My family and i had our F4 interview on the 19 Of march ...and the Visa Officer said everything is good that but requested for an I-864A form to be signed by her husband since our petitioner files tax together with her husband along with our passport....which we submitted on the 26th of March...



We just got an email(April 29) from the UsTraveldocs Document Collection centre... That our passport is ready for pick up... But what is confusing us is that can the Visa be issued without the CEAC visa tracker changing to Issued

Every interview for IMMIGRANT VISA is in Lagos, so you shouldn't have a problem with that.

Other places you have resided ke? Do you live in Lagos? There is only one place you need to get the police certificate that is recognized by the embassy. That's on the Island beside Passport Office. The Street is Alagbon street. You can't miss it. It's by the passport office.

Your dad's wife cannot file for you. It's your Dad that will file for you. If she does, they will collect the money, but they will not approve it. But bear in mind that if you get married while your dad is still filing for you as a permanent resident, the case will be revoked. But if he is a Citizen and you get married , your case will be moved to F3, which is about 11yrs wait, if not more.

Why are you confusing the guy? The wait time for F2B, that is Adult children of legal permanent residence is 6-7yrs wait. Its Siblings Filing that is 14yrs wait.

Am about to renew my passport, confused about the name to use .. do I have to continue with my maiden name as written on my application papers or do I now use my married name for the passport

I Hope you know that once you are married, you are automatically moved to F3?

My petitioner just arrived Nigeria and She gave us a letter( which was duly notarized over there) that explaining what happened and what should be done !!!
Although she didnt any letter to them ooo..she just gave us a letter that we should give the interviewer in case the interviewer notices that mistake!

Don't wait for them to notice the mistake. Let them know so they don't print a wrong birthdate on the Visa.

Same with me... I added my kids as derivatives too but it was rejected after 3 days, something about the document.. I don't know if I uploaded their birth certificate wrongly cos I snapped it and not scan..

For posterity sake.
Had my interview today, though I had to switch back to F2B, if not I'll only be current by next month on F1. My siblings were all filled for separately.

The interview went thus;
Who petitioned for you? are you married? Have you ever been married? do you have kids? Are you expecting any kids? Are you in a relationship that can lead to. Marriage?, gave me a form to fill, that if I should get married before I leave, the visa is void. Then told me to expect a text message from 5 to 7 days as to the readiness' of my passport.

We are preparing for our interview. I need how much the medical test will cost for a family of 4. Father, mother and 2 children.

Depending on the hospital you are using. if you are in Lagos, I suggest you use Q-life though. They are cheaper than the children's practice.

What should be the content of the email??

Explain what the problem is, and send copies of the correct birthdate. Just make sure you get yourself straightened out before your interview. Print out the sent letter too, so you can explain to your interviewer so that they will correct your child's date of birth.
