Hello Masters,

On the DS 260 form, how does one answer these - Do you have an address in the US where you intend to live?

I just want to be on the safe side if its okay without consequences to tick No or Yes

Of cos that should be a YES. The address of where your spouse lives which is where you will be living. You want to say No? They will just say huh! Is this person homeless? You want to come and be a liability to them? Lol cheesy. Biko your Answer is a Capitsl Yes, with your spouses address as your U.S addy. Cos that's where they will send your greencard to

I received an email from NVC to register my details on CEAC Site and pay the immigrant fees.i have registered my details and add my derivatives family member to my profile and awaiting their approval.i want to find out if i have to pay the affidavit of support fees for every member of my family or the payment is for the main applicant only.

AOS fees is just for the Beneficiary, that's you. Has nothing to do with the Derivatives. Where derivatives are involved is the Visa fees. Everybody's Visa Fees must be paid, including infants.

Hi guys, so i've got my opt out approval from DHS, but CEAC profile still states F1. How do i inform them to effect the conversion? Back to F2B

They will receive the message from DHS and they will effect the changed themselves. But if your interview is close and there was no time for them to effect it, and your case is still on F1, they will tell you and you must immediately tell them that you opted out of F1 back to F2B. And then show them the proof of the email from the DHS. But am sure before your interview they would have received the message from DHS.

Please house oo I need help, I've gotten checklist twice on uploading the page of my international passport on my caec account.. they keep saying "Document is not in the right side position, please replace with a scan which displays the words horizontally on the screen. I did that and it was still rejected. I don't understand again, pls those that have passed that stage should kindly show me a sample or explain better..

I Hope you are Not Scanning it black and white. MAKE SURE YOUR SCAN IS Colored, Just as it appears on Passport. Most times if your document is not scanned in Color they return it back without telling you the reason why. Make sure it is colored just like it appears on your passport and you are good to go.

Hi guys, I had my interview today and I was approved!!! Questions were as follows
Vo: good morning
Who's filling for you?
What does he do in the US?
How did you two meet?
What's the name of the friend who introduced you?
Where and how did this introduction take place?
When did you become involved romantically?
Who proposed and when did he propose?
How did your parents feel about the proposal?
Was he married before?
Does he have kids?
Do you have kids?
Does he have siblings?
Do you have siblings?
What kind of building does he stay in and who does he live with?
What kinda of car does he drive?
What state does he live in
How old is he?
How old are you?
So you have pictures of the both of you?
Ohk congratulations, you have been approved.
Then he gave me 3 white papers that contained instructions on how to pick up my passport, pay immigrant fees and rights as a spouse of a us citizen.
Then he said I wish you Good luck in the United States of America!!!!
It was a really smooth process, my appointment was for 6:30, I arrived 5:30, got through security and got into the building by 7:05am. Was only asked for original copy of police report, IP and PP. I was out of the building by 8:30am.
Thank God we made it!!!

Congratulations

Wait..wait..wait...dafuq u on about? The man should walk off the anger,no matter what Have u ever been provoked in ur life at all?
I get the pregnant part of the story,so I can excuse her excesses that period
Why would a woman provoke the man at first? She has been beaten before and she knew what he could do yet she still provoked him? U think all men can withstand being provoked? Some are emotionally weak.
Domestic violence is bad on all fronts dou!

A Real Man will never Hit a woman. Best believe that. It don't matter the level of Provocation.
Crime / Re: Pregnant Lady Wakes Up From Coma After Being Battered By Husband by pretty16(f): 11:57am On May 28, 2019
I hope she doesn't go back to him if he comes begging. He will definitely kill her for sure, if he can beat her into coma while being pregnant, imagine when she is not. I don't care how a woman provokes you, but u should be able to walk off the anger, no matter what. Not even with a pregnant woman, cos they get easily irritated in that condition. Better walk away while you have your life. A lot of women have died in the hands of Men like this.

This beautiful couple. Come on guys, whatever it is can be fixed. Plus women don't understand that when u get married and start having kids, those kids come first, until they are grown, you give up the I's for Us in marriage. Its no longer about you, but about ur family. Until ppl begin to understand the * sacrifice * part. The Men no dey get that wahala, they can leave u at home and still hangout with their friends after work. You and ur kids ni. Imagine leaving ur child with a nanny or friend becos u want to go and groove. Hmmmm! You are not ready to be a mother yet. I can't even try such.

Hi all,
My husband and I just got our NVC paper work approved for CR1 May 3rd and still haven't gotten an interview appointment date yet. Has anyone else who finalized their paperwork in March, April, or May received an appointment date yet? If so, what date did they give? This wait for an interview date is killing me! Any help is appreciated.

If the wait is killing you people like this, when there is no wait time for Spouses of U.S citizens, what do you guys want ppl that waited 7.5years or 14years to join their loved ones do? cheesy grin. Just hang in there, or email NVC to ask for an update on ur case. Remember to put in your petitioners name, beneficiary name, date of birth, your case number and category.

Firstly how many Americans are applying for Nigerian visa? Secondly how many Americans are using Nigerian visas to cross over into Ghana illegally? If you recall Canada specifically asked the US to limit visas to Nigerians because of the number of Nigerians who will get US visa which is relatively easier than Canadian visa and then cross the border and claim asylum.

The majority of American visitors to Nigeria excluding those of Nigerian descent are on business visas and if you target business visas it will impact the Nigeria economy via foreign direct investment. Restrictions on Nigerian visit visas will mostly affect US passport holders of Nigerian descent. Besides a Nigerian visa is not easy to get and this is in part due to the inefficient processes and staff at the embassies. Heck even me a Nigerian trying to get my Nigerian passport renewed at an embassy abroad is so annoying and can be difficult.

In short the solution is to fix our country so people are not so desperate to run to other countries illegally. That way we also gain respect and prestige on the global stage.

At the moment we are funding universities in Canada UK US etc while our universities continue to wallow in under investment and with very poor conditions. We continue to invest in the medical sector in these countries while our medical sector is so bad even our president has to travel to the UK for treatment. All this with the limited foreign exchange we earn as a country.

Well said.

I am F4 and all my documents have been accepted by NVC since Jan. 30, 2019. It's up to 14 weeks now and i have not heard from NVC for complete case or check list. Is there anyone experiencing such a delay? By the way my PD has been current since Feb, 2019.

You are suppose to write them ooo. You should have gotten case complete and interview date. Tell your petitioner to contact NVc or u write them yourself.

Do they send your physical letter or email letter?

They will send you an email. You should work with that. The physical letter will get to u a month later. We had competed and submitted everything before I even received the letter through post office. Be checking your email constantly. Even my interview letter, I had already gone for my medicals before the physical letter from post office came. Thank God for technology.
Those days of waiting for letter from post office, that is how ppl missed their interview date , either because of lost mail, or one evil neighbor receives it and decides to block your movement. You hear a lot of crazy stories about how ppl who won greencard lottery were deprived of travelling because of one evil neighbor cheesy grin

It depends on how fast your petitioner and you can gather all documents and send to them. In my case after getting the letter, took us about a week plus or 2. And I was the one who delayed cos of one of my sons passport.

Very true....and a person who knows how to discipline oneself too.

Exactly. Honestly I am learning a lot from my mom. She knows a lot about how their system works. She studied accounting here in Columbus in the 70's, so I am learning a lot from her. Where some Africans make mistakes is, they move here and want to live, the way they live in Africa, spending cash. The Economy here is cashless. How can u build up your credit when u are using cash. And if u don't have a good credit score, u no fit get better thing. Don't just get a credit card, use it without paying back, that's where being disciplined comes in. Pay up ur credit before it begins to yield interest, or credit card companies will use you and eat well.

Hmmm...the chances of him being approved of that US visiting visa is very, very slim. Reason is because his strong ties all reside in the US.

A suggestion I might give is to know when your mom can take a week off out her work for vacation and may be use that time to travel to Nigeria and then get married do your husband then.

I believe you're still a green card holder and so that whole process for his migrating to the US might take about two years and some months.

Yes, I also thought of that too.

Not yet ooo. My plan didn't go as i expected. I was supposed to be in naija in Feb , can't be flying up and down with the kids, cos they r in school, mom works full time. Plus with all that is happening at daycares, it's a no no for my baby. A friend advised he comes over for visiting, and we can do the courts here, then he goes back while I file. I don't know anyone who has gone through the process.
