Just arrived the UK today, via Abj to Doha to Heathrow London, it was a very smooth and seamless journey.

Info, please print your COS and employment leter handy and be ready to defend your employment, the The Border officer nearly ruin my happiness because I didn't have printed copy of my COS and I couldn't login to airport wifi and show her.

pls prepared and remain confident don't panic the journey is worth it. Good luck to you guys.

I'll be writing CBT next week. I already booked. I had a job offer since last month with the NHS Scotland. Hope to relocate by November all things being equal.
Definitely I will consider engaging a child care although I suspect it might be costly but it's better on the long run than leaving my son behind in Nigeria

My dear from the information I have in respect to this, your Marriage Certificate is the connecting point,so the Marriage Certificate is the prove that both of you are Couple.therefore,the surname in your partner documents will not stop you for anything

By notes, they mean "physical cash at hand you stored under your pillow at home " and not your money saved with a financial institution.

While cash is still allowed in the UK, polymer notes would be the cash acceptable for the denominations affected while your savings in the bank is NOT cash at hand.

Hence, even if you paid in the said paper notes as at the time you were depositing, the bank would issue you the legal tender (polymer notes) that's now acceptable in the UK when you're ready to take out your money.

But please,can someone use Pounds account statement as POF for health and Care visa application here in Nigeria?

Eerm if you got a free lebara sim at tls, use it to open revolut account, get your money transferred to it, just get a few coins to use for trolley at the airport, you will be fine.

Or just try and see if you can open a pounds account in a Nigerian bank.

Are you sure such a tick exist... there is a tick which covers all. I haven't seen where the tick is for only main applicant

In any case even if such a tick is there and even when the employer doesn't cover maintenance. The Homeoffice guide states that bank statement can be either main applicant or dependent. Any of the two is acceptable

You as the main applicant don't need to show prove of fund when summiting your own application, but will have to show prove of fund when summiting your dependant application.

Please my question now is.In such case in whose account will the POF be?in main applicant account or dependent account?

Sorry but that's wrong, once your employer ticked maintainance. Both you the applicant and dependant does not need proof of funds

But in some cases the employer can tick Yes for maintenance only the main applicant.in such case what will they do?

You and any dependent are good to go...no need for bank statement

For me and my wife (IT Skilled Worker Visa)

All glory goes to God.

Date of receipt of COS letter- 15th June

Visa Application for me (main applicant)- 15th June

Visa Application for wife (Dependant)- 16th June

Biometrics date for Main applicant- 21st June

Biometrics date for Dependant- 24th June

Application moved to DMC- 21st June
Application Received by DMC 21st June

Application moved to VAC 20th September for both Main applicant and Dependant
Application received from VAC and notification email 20th September for both Main applicant and Dependant

Passport pick up for both Main applicant and Dependant- 21 September.

This has taken 3 months. I was frustrated, made alot of paid calls and sent paid emails and even sent an official complaint, but it has ended in praise. God has been so faithful after the two refusals I got from Canada study permit applications and the crazy amount of money I lost in the Process ( I paid a canadian registered consultant 3000 dollars + huge bank charges). God came through, after all that stress, I have gotten my visas. I could have lost hope after losing all that money and going through the pain of refusal, it almost wrecked my marriage. But I kept pushing because I knew I deserved more, I knew I was meant for more. This is the story of A lawyer 13 years at the Bar who is transitioning into IT as a Business Analyst. It is the start of a new chapter. All I am trying to say is - don't give up on your dreams and when you fall, get up, dust your yourself off and try again. You only fail when you stop trying.

There is no rule against having the required funds in the partner's bank account...its just a suggestion...i'll explain and i hope you get it.....

If you are all applying together...the money can be in either main apllicant's or partner/ spouse account as per husband and wife naaa..if all goes well..u will all get your visa ....amen....

But there is a reason people suggest that its best for the money to be in the main apllicant's account...the reason is ...incase something goes wrong...... which is not unheard of with UK visa applications

for example .....I saw a case once that the money was in the dependent's account..... the yeye ECO denied the husband and wife on the grounds that they couldnt prove their marriage or the marriage was an arrangeee (and it was)

Now .usually in this case...the main apllicant was supposed to get the visa while the spouse denied ........but because the spouse had the money in the account....it was concluded by the ECO that the husband wont have access to the funds in the uK since the ECO is trying to establish the marriage or civil partnership may not be real.........

Alright,but what of in a case where by the Main applicant the wife(a Nurse) and the dependent the husband have Joint Account,is it advisable for them to use such account statement to apply for Health and Care visa?
