Abubanty: Just be patient, sure job is coming with better relocation package. In addition to the 2 other sites provided you can also add this https://www.healthjobsuk.com/ It took my wife 10months to secure one as an RN. At sometime she even contemplated doing mental CBT cos na mental job dey rain and the relocation package was really good. So many RN that there CBT have expired and they have been searching all through the years. With all said pray and continue applying like your life depends on it. Before you know it, offer go plenty. Good evening sir,I also noticed that most employers prefer a nurse that is already in Uk to the one that is still outside uk, which makes some Nurses here to be looking for a way to enter uk with visitors visa and write OSEC in order to get UK pIN,then while on visit visa they use the opportunity to get job offer and come back to Nigeria to apply health and care visa. Also, some have decided to enter uk through One year Masters degree program, while studying, they will write OSEC and get PIN and then use it to get job offer, which I believe the hospital will give the person Unconditional offer which I believe they will allow the person to be working part with them since still studying. After the person have finish the One year Masters degree program,he or she can then switch to Tier 2 visa. So,this another way someone can achieve it.Even the idea is bad,pls let the gurus in the house correct me. |

Goodly1: As a nurse, and mental health for that matter, you're at a better advantage of getting UK job offers from Naija than any other person, because RNMH are being looked for by so many NHS Trusts. And yes, most NHS Trusts are willing to offer not just CoS but also full relocation packages, free of charge to RN's, especially for MH.
Focus more on NHS jobs, links below: https://beta.jobs.nhs.uk https://www.nhsjobs.com Good evening, what about Nigeria Registered Nurse ,but not mental health nurse?.Do Registered Nurse from Nigeria have same opportunity like the way mental health nurse have? |

BeckyB1: I wish home office can change the 20 hours a week rule for those whose sponsors do not have any shift to give.
A sponsor brought people in with an offer letter of 40 hours a week shift but ended up having no job to offer. She even told this people to pay her £150 for an online care certificate training link.
Many care homes and agencies that have jobs are not willing to give more than 20 hours a week shift to those who are on Tier 2 sponsorship. Good morning, pls does all these affect Nurses too?. |

bns4eva: Sincerely, i understand your situation, i would advice you and your wife should keep pushing and be prayerful. My younger sister applied for over 1000 jobs on tracjobs before she got 4 job offers in April.
First, apply jobs in carehomes too, they also give sponsorship. Go to nhsjobs.com , apply to the trusts like Frimley nhs, Bath, East london Nhs, Lancashire nhs, Walsall,Dorset, hampshire nhs,Berkshire hospital trust, bromley healthcare nhs etc.
You can also apply to Nhs scotland, they give sponsorship too. Nurses are getting offer everyday.
It doesnt worth it to come to the uk with a study visa when you can get COS for free. when you come to the uk with a study visa, you will pay for osce exam by yourself and osce exam is expensive. You pay for the training also and you wont get any reimbursement from the hospital which they may take you as an agency nurse(they can terminate your appointment anytime).
See what you will benefit when you wait., You will be reimbursed on everything you spent so far, ielts , cbt,. They will pay for your flight, they give you 1month accomodation, some nhs trust give 3months accomodations, pay for osce and training. My advice is , just keep applying, check your supporting statement and your cv. Try to impress when you are given chance for interviews. The journey needs patience and perseverance. Thanks so much sir for your quick response and God bless you.Am grateful sir |

Madeu: Your wife should keep trying. NHS needs nurses and no end in sight . That Msc money is best to use it as down payment for mortgage if eventually she gets one. Doing Msc for a qualified nurse is a waste of money. Lots of Nigerian nurses just went to school of nursing ( advanced diploma) and they are getting NHS jobs. Thanks for your response.Alot of Nurses here in Nigeria are getting frustrated, because they are finding it difficult to get job offer in UK.Infact, most employers needs nurses that are already in uk and have pin already. That is most of them are looking for a way to enter uk first and search for a Job, since they couldn't get job offer while here in Nigeria. So,am advising my Wife to apply for Masters in Public health which is One year course, while doing the program she will sit for OSCE in order to get Uk pin and become uk registered Nurse and start working part time as a UK nurse, then when she finish her One year program in public health, she will then switch to tier 2,so that she can be eligible to bring her husband and kid to join her in uk.We intend to execute the plan next year.Pls any more better advise for us? |

Taal17: I should think if she comes on a visit visa she can also the exam OSEC exam That seems a lot less expensive I mean doctors fly into do do Plab I feel coming in with visit visa which is just Six months visa is very short to compare the time it will take get job offer before the visa expire., that's why I think coming in through study route will give her more time and opportunity to get a better job as a Registered Nurse before the end of her one year study, which after then she switch to tier 2 in order to bring in her dependent. That is my idea. What do you think pls? |

justwise: Paying for COS is illegal, i will not encourage you to waste your money paying for one.
Yes its difficult getting employed directly from Nigeria but its not impossible as some people still get employed directly from Nigeria.
Don't give up applying and if i come across any legitimate link i will drop it here.
Again avoid paying for COS, its a crime. Good evening My Boss,I really appreciate all your contribution in this wonderful family and may God continue to bless and give you wisdom to direct us.Pls sir I have this idea want to share with you and I want you to tell me if is feasible and advice me how best to apply it.My Wife is a Registered Nurse here in Nigeria, but want to relocate to uk to practice, but due to Nigeria is in Red list, which make it very difficult for Nigeria nurses to get job offer in uk while in Nigeria. Now,she is planning to get admission in a University in uk for Masters degree program in Public health which is a One year course,so that when she enter uk through study route with her NMCUK documents and write her OSEC in order to get UK Pin as a uk Registered Nurse, then she use it to get job in uk as a Nurse while studying.when she then finish her study, she will then switch to 2teir visa and get COS to bring her family.pls sir, what can you advise in this idea .I hope to hear from you Sir.Thanks Justwise. |

dduchess90: Hello
Research based masters is your idea
You have to come up with a research proposal yourself
You also have to find a lecturer who can supervise your research to pitch it to
Once they agree that your proposal satisfy 3 conditions as being 1. New(novel) 2. Has a scientific contribution and 3. Has an impact to the industry then they will accept your proposal and begin your admission process
2. All Uni offer research based studies (masters and PhD)
Also I am a lady
Cheers Thank you so much ma for your quick response.May God continue to bless you |

jum33: Let me just be frank with , recruiting carer from nigeria is getting more and more difficult by the days cos employer will naturally prefer to recruit from those within uk before looking abroad . Even those are in uk are not getting the job on the platter of gold anymore like before as employer are now even asking for 1-2 years uk experience .You will be surprised that alot of nigerian that just arive in uk are not even getting the carer job like before and there are still a huge backlog of student that have already finished their study and hoping to use the carer route to get skilled visa and majority are yet to get such opportunities So advice I will give people in nigeria is to look for other pathway so that u won't be wasting your time, carer pathway is as good as over, it will soon be taken off from the shortage occupation list . My dear, what can you also say in terms of Nurses? |

IamV: But before we proceed, you need to understand this terms.
Form EC8A ; is the pink slip at the polling unit level where every polling agent sign the result. It is the first point of collating votes
The EC8B :
is the form used at the Ward where they compile all the form EC8A above and input the number of votes from there into the EC8B It is the Ward computation form.
Then next is EC8C, which is used at LGA to compute total of votes per wards.
Then the form EC8D is for the State. So they compute all the LGA votes and record it here.
The EC8E is what is used for concluded signatory result. This is what is used to declare the winner. It is the final sheet for declaring the winner of the election. Thanks for explaination |

jowhyte: UPDATE!
Just to encourage everyone job hunting for overseas visa sponsorship job especially for nurses here not to give up as we were once in the same boat but kept pushing and not give up.
May 2nd, 2023. I wrote here in this thread how we got a job offer on Wednesday April 26th, 2023.
We had filled and completed all the paperwork online except for the police report that was taking us about 2nd week to get after being promised to get it in 3 biz days. We did it in police headquarters Benin city.
I opted for a Lagos contact and got it in 3days instead.
Quickly used the police report to complete the NMC UK registration and did the £153 payment as this was part of the requirement before COS for visa application can be issued.
Thereafter, I sent the police report over to the Trust on 10th - 11th of May 2023, as this was the only thing waiting for them to review.
I had already booked TB screening for 18th of May, 2023 prior.
Tuesday 16th of May 2023, the Trust sent the COS to the email on file.
Then Wednesday 17th, May 2023 wifey traveled down to Lagos for the TB screening to be done on Wednesday.
While she was on her way, I started the visa application that That Wednesday 17th and got her an appointment date for Friday 19th, May 2023 because she will be going before us so she can focus and pass her OSCE before our arrival at a later date.
She did her TB test on 18th May, 2023 and visa appointment (biometric capturing etc) on 19th of May 2023.
The visa application is now being processed and we also opted for DHL delivery back to Benin city once a decision has been reached.
Just sharing this to encourage someone out there.
Cheers! Thanks and God grant you and your wife your heart desires. |

justwise: The whole noise about immigration figures is just ridiculous.
Foreign students came here legally, they did not come in through the English channels or back of lorries, British embassies collected thousands of £££££, access their applications and stamped their passports with visa. They got into the UK, got a job and keep paying into the system. These foreign students paid for NHS even before using it.
The same British government that allowed them in is now crying about immigration figures.
Is this not stupid of the highest level?
No foreign student came in with wife and children hidden in hand luggage, the immigration allowed them in genuinely and now they are blaming them for increasing immigration figures.
Nonsense ! Good evening sir,pls do you know any university that offer Masters in Adults Nursing Research program? |

An offer from Salford University State these

After deducting both the scholarship and the deposit, the balance will be £7,750.
My question is, am going to still add the scholarship {£2,500) to my POF then wait till enrollment day or I should just use the balance (£7,750) and the maintenance cost to compute my POF?
Also, please whoever that has Salford University telegram link should drop it.
Thanks. .I will also advise you to ask your school to give you A Cover Letter of the Scholarship that was given to you,so that you will also tender it to Embassy while applying your Visa.I learnt somewhere that some ECO do require evidence of the Scholarship, since it will be deduct from your tuition fee.Other Gurus in the house can contribute to this too. Thanks |
