You are right. They may ask for the source.
All you need to do is be sure if what to say.
In as much as the money is in your name, you can mention that it is your money. Or it was given to you by your parents. Make sure you make it clear that it is Your money, and it is available for your use in the UK.
. What I planned to do in my own case is that I will make sure the required amount of money go through my dad account, so that his name will appear on my bank statement and I will good get a letter from my dad which will States that he transfer the money in my account, so that it will be very easy for me to use for the purpose of my education.Meanwhile, I will tell the interviewer that the money come from my dad, whom is a business man.Pls Gurus in the house, what can u say about my idea?

Don’t worry Yusuf.
We are talking about PBS Tier-4 visa here.
You will not be questioned. Let the money be transferred once. Wait for At LEAST 28 days. You are good to go.

Some person(s) have somehow mixed up the rules.
Bros I some cases they do ask the source of the money and what is the occupation of the person that give u the money. when you go through this thread from 2018 to 2019 u will notice that some people that got their visa was asked such question. I will advise every new applicants here to go through this very thread from 2018 till date you will learn a lot.you will also get to know the type of questions to expect for the interview. Tier 4 UK student visa is very straight forward and clear.

ELff:
This your response has gotten me confused. If you advise the money is sent to the account in bits so it doesn't look like a lodgement, does it mean a statement of account beyond 28 days is going to be required.

I am asking because the 28 days statement that will be submitted, the balance of the tuition and living expenses ought to be in the account by within the 28days, the required monies isn't meant to be sent to the account in bits within the 28 days.

So what's the essence of avoiding the monies looking like a lodgement? This is assuming you are self funded?

And if your parents are your sponsors but you are technically not putting them as sponsors instead you are choosing the self funded option.

I don't know if my question is clear enough.
. Thank you my dear.let me throw more light on this issue, because we learn everyday. what I understood from my Boss Justwise is that your 28days should start counting a day after the required amount of money have been present in ur account, and in order to be in a better position try print ur bank statement on 29th day or on 30th day.meaning that u will only print One Month Bank statement which will reflect ur 28days Count. So,I don't think your brother sending the money small small really make any sense. How I wish my our Boss Justwise can make out more time to explain more on this matter.

I haven’t paid my deposit yet. I sent an email to the institution (after they requested for IELTS test result in my conditional offer) that I was taught in English and i still have a valid IELTS General test result, my waec and neco certificates.

They responded and said they can’t accept IELTS General & my waec certificate is old. But what they can do is, if I can get proof from my school that I was taught in English, IELTS will be waived.
. Bros you don't need to panic, you can go to ur department in school and explain to them I believe they will definitely direct and assist you on how to go about it.some office in ur school may still open even in this lockdown. even your HOD can assist you on it.or you can tell the school that u will send it to them as soon as the lockdown is over.Try reach our Boss Justwise for more better direction.

Honestly I no go lie, I feel very sorry for you. Maybe few years ago, you won’t have any issue at all. But now that they know Nigerians are trying to run out by all means because of 2 years visa, it will be very hard for you walahi. Firstly sef your ielts score is not up 6 and secondly since 2010, you did not enrol even in online course or something to keep your academics up to date (Since you dropped out previously). They will be wondering why you want to do nursing all of a sudden in the U.K. when you can do it very cheap in Nigeria or cheap european countries. Except you have good relevant experience in nursing , your chances are low. U.K. sef don dey wise. My friend that studied in U.K. & replied for another masters got rejected by all the universities saying he cannot do another Msc in U.K.. then the other one got rejected because he went and uploaded that Canada denied him study permit. Now U.K. is being strict unlike before where you apply today and you leave the next day. You can try your luck sha when you go for interview and see. It will be better if you can do nursing in Nigeria , get certified & go to the U.K. under tier2 visa because they’re always in need of nurses for their NHS. Anyhow you do, all the best.
. Thanks for your concern bros.Meanwhile, since I drop out from university I attended computer class for 2years.After the program,I work as a trainee in a Phamarciticule Store for 5yrs,then I later went for nurse Apprentice in a Hospital where am assisting nurses in some duty till now.so,am not idle since I drop out from university. However, I planned to collect reference letter from the two places to use it as one my supporting document during my visa application, because I noticed that I have to explain my educational gap to UK embassy. pls collect me if am wrong.

Why do you want to send what has not been asked of you?

12,000 pounds for year one.

50% to get CAS. How about the remaining 50%?
My dear,I don't want to take chances. I just want to include every necessary document I have in order for me to have an edge.In terms remaining 50%,I clearly know that I must have it with my maintenance in my account for 28days according to the requirement by the Embassy.

In my opinion, I think you should first calm down. There's no need to be in a rush with this, if God says you will go to the UK, and you will become a Nurse, then it will happen.

Now, some schools require that the SSCE or any previous degree you will be using for an admission should be within the last 5 years, so just prepare your mind to either sit for another SSCE, or study very hard and write another IELTS.

Nothing is too difficult, all that matters is your determination.

Firstly, apply to different Universities, get their requirements, see if you meet up, and if you don't my darling, you can write another IELTS and YOU CAN PASS!

Just get your mind prepared, plan yourself well, and you will get there.
. Thanks so much for your advise,I really appreciate.

LaaJiblik:
It’s a great thing that you discovered your talent.

You are really a brilliant fellow. You took the NECO exams at 14, and got a B2 in English language

That IELTS was it a requirement for Undergraduate admission? Are you sure what you wrote up there is an IELTS result? Because typical IELTS results have more than one component. In any case, I hope you know that a 5.5 is basically a fail? You had a B2 (very Good) in SSCE but only managed a 5.5 in IELTS? If I am an admission officer, I will take your results with a pinch of salt.

My suggestion to you is not to bother so much about a Tier-4 visa at this moment. Rather, apply for your dream Nursing course. Get unconditional admission offer. Only then should you bother about visas.
Once you have admission from a licensed tier-4 sponsor, and you meet the financial requirements as well as pass credibility tests, Visa is easy.

PS: I hope you have researched the cost of Undergraduate nursing in the UK?
. Thank you so much for your nice response. Firstly, I intend to submit my application at Leeds Beckett university in England, they accept C6 in SSCE for English language requirement, but I decided to include my IELTS exam result which is 5.5 total mark. I also want to include my university transcript even though I didn't pass all my courses, though I drop out.Secondly, the tuition fee for Adult nursing in undergraduate is 12k pounds per year, but the person have to pay 50% deposit before CAS number will be release to the person. I strongly believe that by the grace of God I will make it in terms of Admission and Visa too.It will end in Praise.pls bros I will like you to also work with me through out the process. thanks

Kudos to the OP - @barbiee, who started this very informative and long-enduring thread. I also appreciate the many contributions made by other major contributors. It's really been very enlightening to some of us silent readers. Believe me, there are many of us who remain on incognito mode while devouring all the rich info posted here. The rigour of even the exchange of banters/arguments (when there seem to be conflicting understanding of certain information), has been very eye-opening and mind-clarifying!

I am not a Nurse, nor am I any member of the health field - I am an IT practitioner. However, I am married to a Nurse who has about 17 years post-registration work experience mostly in a tertiary health institution as RN, RM and completed BNSc from the National Open University (NOUN) about 5 years ago. The destination of choice for us as a family of 4, is actually Canada. However, since it seems a bit of an uphill task gaining the RN status in Canada, we are considering the UK route as a stop-gap following the advice given by some of the top contributors in this forum.

My wife is eager to start an online UK Masters degree in Nursing, even from here in Nigeria, but I've been persuading here to be patient to start the programme abroad. My question is: would obtaining a UK Masters in Nursing, while working in the UK, significantly facilitate easier processing of Canadian-RN credentials, by the time we move to Canada? Or would it be better to just work in the UK, save enough money, and then start a Canadian Post-graduate Nursing program in Canada after relocating to Canada?

I feel it would be a substantial waste of time, effort and money if further postgraduate education would not help one to obtain the Canadian-RN credential - and one would still have to go back to school in Canada to achieve such. In that case, won't it even be better to defer any other form of postgraduate education until one gets to Canada? Please help to shed more light on the transition from UK-RN to Canada-RN route, since I believe many people in this forum would be considering such route. I hope my dilemma is clear enough? Sorry for the long post.
. My dear, base on the information I got so far, firstly it is very much easy to a Nursing in UK from Nigeria once ur wife get a good grade in all the necessary Exams they normally take.again,it seems very hard to relocate from Nigeria to Canada whether through education or any job.my advise to ur wife is this, let her work towards getting a nurse work in UK ,which is very easy then u move with ur family and hustle some times in UK in order to save money, you guys can then easily relocate to Canada with ease whether through education or work. Our boss Justwise can give u more advise, just follow his advise. okay.

With your 2:1 they Canada will still fling you through the window u go fall break back
Even the low ranking Universities dere they select
. my dear,Canada seems to be strick, even their visa processes too, especially if you are applying from Nigeria.my advise to anyone from Nigeria, who want to relocate to Canada is to first get to UK for study, after your study in UK then u can easily move to Canada or Australia. I will also use this opportunity to encourage every student that really want to study in UK to try as much as possible to go for September Intake. my reason is this, the effect of new IHS fee will begin from Oct and UK embassy will definitely simplify student visa this year to attract more international. In fact, they will bring out more favourable policy to attract foreign students. Already universities in UK are crying because of the drop of number foreign student applying to study from September intake because most of their schools rely on foreign student's tuition fee to manage their institution. my final reason is also that Naira may depreciate more further from Next year. pls my fellow Nigerians, try put all necessary effort to enter UK this year .I wish everyone all the best.I believe our boss Justwise is in more better position tell us more.

I don't know much about South Wales in terms of cost of living but the university ranked lower than Coventry university hence the low fees and other give-a ways to attract students.

Coventry university ranking is good though that fees is high, you should be able to get student job in Coventry and it's not a expensive city to live...though depending on your taste/lifestyle.

I don't think that Wales will be an expensive place to live as a student though, go to university and city you can afford and come out with good result.
