Guys, for the sake of your mental and psychological wellbeing, ditch the delusions of notifications still dropping tomorrow. There are tons of mailing tools and APIs that can be efficiently deployed for bulk outbound mails at the click of a button. You seem to also forget that there's also an IT unit in NNPC that would have filtered the list of successful candidates together with their email addresses and postal addresses for APL related activities.

If you continue to build your castle of hope around this, you'd be indirectly reducing your worth. We have fought a good fight, and have reached this point. Not all battles are meant to be won. The goal is to win the war. Focus your energy on other productive opportunities. If there are none, create one.

I did not get the notification too. But I realized that I need to also focus and pay more attention to my startup that aims to solve business problems for online side hustlers. Tbh, NNPC's offer would have helped boost the startup, but I believe there's no one route to winning. We move! It's not over.

Right now, if I am to be slightly delusional, my hope will be that (like someone here said), there were technical glitches which consequently made them skip some names for mail notifications, and that the guys from the logistic company will put a call through for APL dispatch. But this is literally going to mean 'walking on water'.

To the successful guys, especially those without connect who really merit it, congrats! See y'all at the top.

Mega station. Woh, it's just my assumption jarey. I think it is logical to just hold on till the court case (which should hopefully be concluded by Friday 14th) is over. They wouldn't want to give the plaintiff justifications. It is also logical to present the list of successful candidates and the COC from FCC as prima facie proof that the recruitment was in line with the standards.

Waiting for closure has been hell (that's the most causal way I cam admit this).

I've been distracting with work and other things, but as the days go by and I face more and more disappointing days, and days riddled with the burning stench of burnt sauces, I lose every extra hope that I thought I had lost previously.

I Remember the day of my interview: Standing in line since 09:00 and walking through the various screening stages, meeting people and marvelling at the organizational skill at the towers, I had high hopes of Project Eagle �, but as the days went by and I hear from my low-key source and the high-key sources on Nairaland, I feel apathetic to the whole situation.

I remember the gentleman from whom I borrowed a pen when I discovered that mine had suddenly stopped working, who gave me his, selflessly and without casting an unwelcoming glance. I remember the gentleman from Niger State who sat next to me and was waiting in line to go into the interview room next and the conversations we had about our states, IT and the pressure waiting to leap onto our shoulders in the interview room.

I remember the NNPC staff member who led me into the interview room and his comment after I was done, that I did well and should keep praying for a favorable outcome.

I reminisce about these moments and my heart races, while my head tried to guess whether everything I had gone through was for naught or it would pay off.

The future is more unfathomable than it has ever been in the past, as regards this recruitment exercise, but alas, a light shines from the end of the tunnel.

Is it a bright light in the metaphorical sense, or is it a light shining from a train set to crash our dreams and awaken us more to the everyday Nigerian Nightmare?

My Brothers and Sisters, Please, if you receive information that boils down to the phrase "It will be released soon" without a time frame or a date, please just leave it out of the information pool. Soon in NNPC terms can be a week or 3 months (as with when the GMD said "Soon" since November). I want as much information as the next man but at this point, I think we can all collectively agree that as a word, "soon" has lost all meaning to us.
My father spoke to the GGM HR (This week monday) and he said soon and I was like ��� dafuq. My father just looked at me and essentially said "This nigga is so far in the dark, but he just wants to say something cuz he doesn't want to feel like his position isn't important". So people no more updates with soon, we get it, soon has been flying all around but now it just causes anxiety.
The only man that knows the true release date is the GMD himself. I don't know why he is still delaying and feeding his staff various amounts of inconsistent information.
